This movie is a bit different than any other one out there. There is mostly no dialog and voice acting, it’s all being translated by music. Pink Floyd has made a fever dream monstrosity about a famous musician “Pink.” Who is ignorant about society and the world around him and just watches war. All of his childhood memories and war-like flashbacks of his dead father connect throughout the film. In fact the storytelling is so good that not only is the imagery and music heavily provided by a host of great animation, unique sections and really good music. But scene by scene, you're seeing Pink grow as a character and how he acts. Never does anything feel disconnected or loose throughout this flick. Except for the ending where it’s not really explained why Pink is in court, but is provided by some of the best animation in the film. If I was to rank the overall presentation, animation and music; it would go like this. The music is genuinely great with a lot of catchy and emotional tunes and some decent ones here and there. Dirty Woman is my least favorite because of how it’s played out and the overall theme. But I cannot deny that the fantastic animation has really helped shine this movie in a way. Details within the presentation are astonishing because it’s portrayed very well scene by scene, and helps the storytelling and overall structure feel natural. If you dig unique movies like this or just a fan of Pink Floyd’s work, you will love this. It is a great and fascinating film of storytelling and emotional rides through musical tunes and wonderfully surreal animation.

This is not just one of the best albums of the 20th century. This is a good example of how professional critics fail to recognize a truly talented thing. Look, here on the left you see a column with reviews, including the time of the film's release. Look how many negative ones. Look at what these critics reproach the group. Since then, the situation with "professional critics" has only gotten worse. But the album and Films, as it was relevant then, and remains relevant today. My only regret is that the track "Hey You" was not included in the film.

"All in all, you're just another brick in the wall." "Pink Floyd: The Wall", a compelling visual journey of the disturbed and tragic mind. It is one long music video, which is not really a negative, not with this movie. I don't listen to a lot of Pink Floyd's music, so watching this was quite the surreal experience, but I connected and understood the surrealness to a weird extent. I think anyone who is or is not a fan will have an interesting and unique experience. Any sort of character development comes through the music, which itself tells the whole story. This will be the closest we will ever come to examine Roger Waters mindset and feelings. The songs themselves are not only amazing, but brilliantly expressed and unequal compared to other bands. The animated sequences that went with the songs were so remarkable it makes the songs strike an extra chord to your subconscious. Overall rating: RIP Alan Parker. A brilliant director who took a band and adapted it into cinema.

Its missing hey you, which is my favorite song in this album.Although I did kind off like it because after watching I could understand the story of the album a bit more,so yeah, other than that,it was a pretty bad movie.

I'll be honest, I was convinced to watch The Wall after watching the Nostalgia Critic's "review" on YouTube. I am so glad that I did. The Nostalgia Critic's review is utter problematic garbage, and this movie is so inspiring and haunting and is a real masterpiece.

The Wall is an absolute masterpiece of artistic expression. Roger Waters has taken what is a very personal story and experience, and has expanded on it and kept it coherent while making it a message everyone can understand and relate to. It's unique, the music is incredible, the animation is haunting, and it is so immersive that it becomes east to lose yourself in this movie. Highly recommend!

It uses a lot of show not tell and it's executed perfectly, it's my favorite movie of all time and album as well.

This film's an excellent adaptation of the original album. Its use of music and visuals to propel the plot rather than dialogue is very interesting. While you do have to go in with a certain mindset, once you get into it, it's very hard to break the immersion. A very trippy and symbolic film to be sure.

Essential. I have to generate 75 characters, but "essential" is all I have to say. Talk to me after you seen it.

Excellent. Pink Floyd The Wall is the best band/opera kind of film, as it tells its story intricately, with beautiful animation, deep themes, and a sense of overall visual uniqueness (not to mention one of the greatest soundtracks of all time). The critic's score is way too low. I'll admit it's a tiny bit repetitive, but it's a minor complaint because I was already so invested in the movie that some redundant scenes weren't much of a detractor. Check it out to form an opinion on this surrealist piece of art.
