Marriage is a significant ritual. A relevant movie avoids to propose badly the execution of a catching narrative and lead up the positive showdown between its fundamental constituent layers. It feels like the pieces that form this movie have to be connected through a blend of attrition and mathematics searching to generate a compelling aesthetic aftermath. Layers interacting strongly with a set of basic methods and purposes as the scenes unravel (deslindar in portuguese). Cinema holds the awesome and remarkable skill to draw some public’s attention during exhibition of the piece (indoors or maybe outdoors. Both can work), allowing the piece to reach its embedded potential. Although rarely it’s properly understood totally. The understanding of a movie lies on a fundamental aspect of all the cinematographic process: calmness. The stillness chosen during all the piece’s analysis process determines if there is some chance to decipher it. Patience may be the nice and amazing variable here. It’s sacressant. As much stillness as the patience (itself also defined as calmness) can influence our piece’s perception. And this has to be valued. If we wish a complete and extremely fun watch.

Mother/Android begins with a strong premise: a world devastated by androids and a couple trying to survive while expecting a child. On paper, it has the ingredients for something bigger. Pure action, moral dilemmas about technology, motherhood during collapse… but the film never fully decides what it wants to **** first half works better. There’s tension, pursuit, and a constant sense of danger. It doesn’t reinvent the genre —echoes of The Terminator are unavoidable— but it keeps momentum. Chloë Grace Moretz anchors the story with a committed performance, adding humanity to an otherwise generic **** problem arises when the narrative tries to deepen its themes. The philosophical layer about technological dependence is barely explored. World-building feels thin, and the film never fully commits to intense action either. It sits awkwardly between two potential versions of itself.Visually competent but not memorable, the final stretch lacks ambition. It needed either more brutality and adrenaline or more emotional and conceptual ****’s watchable and moderately engaging, yet it feels like a missed opportunity.

In the main the acting is ok, the story is quite good, although also predictable. However towards the finale, the scenes with the baby going abroad, and the appalling 'Netflix' type teen song are absolutely appalling, completely spoiling the film. I doubt I'll watch it agin, unless dementia kicks in!

Sounds interesting? It was. This is a promising premise, but after some exposition, long and drawn out scenes that refuse to end, and some good ol' dumb decisions getting made, I just didn't care for the plot and dull characters.

Below average cast deliver below average performances. The weak plot stretches far beyond its low budget and subsequently fails to excite beyond the average bar (oftentimes it falls into the schlocky bad b movie category). It's an interesting if a little odd concept very similar to other post apocalyptic movies of its ilk.

A complete waste of time ... depressing from start to end, unfortunately not only the plot but also settings, actors and music. This is a typical 10$ Netflix-Production that lacks, beside Chloë Grace Moretz, everything else. I can't believe that Netflix still dares to produce and release crap like this super-boring, non-sense, non-fiction/fiction (?!?) work of WHAT EXACTLY? Everything should be so so realistic, but what you see is just absolute impossible stuff far away from known physics on this planet. Also, why must military people ALWAYS be grumpy and crude, even they have to deal with their own kind? Oh, aha, and this has to do with androids, right? It at least should have to do with some kind of those who actually caused this fatal end-of-world scenario, right? Yes, but as everything in this movie, nothing makes sense, what is going on?! A 9 (!) month pregnant woman rides on the back of a motorcycle, facing backwards, shooting running androids in the middle of the woods, while her boyfriend who drives this vehicle, races like hell in between trees, bumps, bushes and of course androids! If there's ANY SITUATION you might end up and there's no way out - just turn right and drive on - problem solved! She also 'rescues' her boyfriend, i never really liked and won't die, from a house full of those mad-killing machines by just dragging him out, because, yes, she can do it! Why he can't walk by himself? Both his legs where crashed by bad robots, that's why. Okay, okay ... there are so many stupid actions, plus the never ending, useless dialogs. And this boyfriend of her's actually just around to put both of 'em from one stupid situation into the next. I really hated him, he screwed up everything and the soon to be mother just followed him and, tada, manages to solve ANY situation. You won't miss anything, if you leave this cure for insomnia, unseen in the depths of digital waste!

Jesus Christ, that was rotten. The lack of everything, backstory, lore, acting, meaning and story itself is depressing.

This is a complete waste of time for me to have ever seen this horrible movie on Netflix. I mean, come on, when I first saw the movie posters and titles, I assumed it was going to be an action film with a gripping plot, but it's nothing of the sort. With Chloe Moretz in the lead role, it should be an excellent movie. I thought Sam was going to be the hero, but he isn't. There is too much bloody romance in it, not enough action, the plot moves faster than the androids, and I can barely keep up with the plot. It didn't turn out the way we expected. What I don't understand is why this movie has so high ratings on Netflix; perhaps people's tastes are too conservative.

At first I thought, "maybe it's just slow to start?". If you've watched the trailer and heard the narration, that was the whole ding dang movie. Also, I hope you like blurry flashbacks/flashforwards, cause that's all the "powerful, emotive sequences". The emotions are flat, and attempts to evoke emotion with shaky cam and long dragging scenes of crying. When they attempt to use the power of a mother's love, it's such a turn around that I got whiplash. There is no pay off to any of the set up. The movie ended and I realized I would never get the wasted time back. I hope, dear reader, the only time you wasted was reading this review.

Very poor script and generally low quality sci-fi. Might do if you have absolutely nothing else to watch.

If i were to end up with this "mother" in any catastrophe, i would blow my own brains out. Five seconds into the movie you can tell that this narcissistic, self-centered psychopath is going to **** moan and nag here way till the end of the movie. The "father" in this movie is the biggest idiot in the world. Not because of intelligence, but because he can't spot the giant crimson red flag in front of him. You'll watch him be mentally abused for about 90 minutes straight, and be mutilated in the end. Oh yeah, and there's something about androids attacking humans which feels like a forgotten plot line next to **** Eventually Arthur is introduced, who makes the movie much more interesting. Beware of the Androids intelligence. It was an underwhelming movie. 5/10.

Please don’t waste your time. This movie’s plot is poor, unrealistic and not entertaining.

6.5/10 Despite the powerful ending and some of the scene that works, Mother/Android could've been in a better situation, could've been a better performance (Chloë Grace Moretz did a good job but Algee Smith didn't), and could've been a better story.

Bleak and profoundly depressing. Well done. I need to write 75 characters. Done.

I watched the movie on Netflix and liked it very much. I think it's original while mixing popular movie tropes. The relationships felt authentic to me and the characters were strong. I can understand why this movie got bad press and bad reviews in 2021, but I think it will find its audience internationally. This movie will stay in my head for a few days...

Chloë Grace Moretz didn't learn her lesson after her resounding failure with The 5th Wave in her attempt to take the lead role in a famous book saga that had the hopes of becoming a blockbuster that would've given her the opportunity to become the face of a major franchise, as Jennifer Lawrence once did with The Hunger Games, and as Shailene Woodley sadly tried to do with the terrible The Divergent Series. She's back to star in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi flick that borrows most of its core elements from stories like Terminator, A Quiet Place, and even The Last of Us, so forget about seeing anything original here. She's everything in this movie, though of course she's not a great actress, but this work is absolutely hers. However, the actress who at only 12 years old seemed to have an incredibly promising future when her portrayal of Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass made her famous, is now a 24 year old woman with a prolific career, but full of incredibly mediocre movies. Mother/Android is no worse than The 5th Wave, but that's by no means a compliment. Be warned.

The dialog is painful to listen to, the characters are just unlikable. This movie has 8 producers. Whats that old saying, too many cooks spoil the broth.
