This is an excellent movie. It has tension, atmosphere, great acting and humor. A story like i've never heard of before, and it kept me interested till the very end. It is an excellent movie! 8/10.

"Everything with a beginning has an end Neo... UNLESS you own the rights to a succesfull blockbuster franchise and care more about producing low effort sequels to keep te money coming in!" That's what should have been on the poster for this Abomination of a movie. "Not like this..." would have been tasteful too. The Matrix Resurrections is fan fiction, written while making burned toast by people that did not understand the original movies. The point of the matrix is that not everything is the way you think it is, just because someone tells you it is that way. Are you making genuine choices, or are you fooled into believing that you make your choices? The problem with humans, to keep them happy in the matrix while the machines use them as batteries, is that they need the illusion of choice to accept the simulated reality around them. The Matrix trilogy is one of thé, if not the best, movie franchise to have included strong philoshycal and religious imagery into its movie without ever saying it out loud. The subtlety with which this has been implemented in the movies is so good that you can watch the original movies ten times and learn something new every time. With Resurrections you are guarenteed to want to slice your own wrists a bit more every time you watch it. Philosophy, religious imagery and strong themes like choice, love and destiny are gone in favor of futuristic and comedic elements like programmes that have actual emotions instead of seeing them like a word in their program. Neo is trapped in the matrix with Trinity who has been brought back to life for the second time in the franchise, only to serve as a plot point and to suddenly have powers like the One. A new version of the matrix and its new architect try to harnass the power between Neo and Trinity as there are 'power shortages', and the machines now wage war amongst each other... which is by far the dumbest idea to have been introduced into this movie. Zion has been rebranded through the powers of CGI and is now called IO. Morpheus is dead because Laurence Fishburne was smart enough not to return for this travesty, and Agent Smith is played by a new actor because Hugo Weaving was also not touched in the head. Jada Pinket Smith returns as Niobe, with some of the worsed de-aging make-up i've seen in a long time. Even though IO is huge, we only ever really see one particular platform where almost every IO scene is shot... very lazy. The same can by the way be said for most of the movie. Small sets that copy parts of the original movies are used for its scenes, and most of the world is CGI. I'm not sure what to say. If someone told me the story of this movie and asked me if it would make for a worthy sequel, i would have told them to seek medical attention. This is the same dumb, lazy and out of touch sequel **** like Independence Day Resurgence, The Predator and Alien Covenant. One of the Wachowski brothers might have been involved in this, but it sure seems like none of the original creators were. I hate this abomination. I'm glad i didn't have to watch this in theatres. **** you Warner Bros. **** you Keanu for accepting this disgraceful movie rol. 1/10. Better ideas have been cancelled, just like this should have been.

American Assassin is what happens when American writers can't claim USA prowess after the US has waged a failed war for the wrong reasons in the Middle East for nearly two decades. Foreign terrorists are portrayed as religious nutcases rather than the intelligent and connected extremists that they are. It's easy to call someone your enemy if you only demonize them for the reasons that you find disturbing. So, overly emotional and needy boyfriend asks hot girlfriend with nice boobs to marry him. Seconds later half the beach, including the girlfriend, gets shot to pieces by some dudes who apparently were "Terrorists". They looked more like layed-off tattoo artists to me but fine. Boyfriend gets angry and trains himself to be a **** to kill terrorists. **** gets added to a special unit. **** is arrogant and oblivious to the teachings of his surroundings. US government still thinks they can go abroad, cause death and not expect there to be repercussions from their actions. In this case the bad guy is actually an American defector. And thus the vicious cycle continues. Lets talk about the movie as an entertainment property though. The movie does keep you interested, but the story is rather unrealistic and too unbelievable to be taken seriously. The main character is unlikable, and is a walking contradiction in regards to what he considers "The Enemy". Had the story been believable, that wouldn't have mattered. But that's not the case here unfortunately. The Americans in this movie get a lot of innocent civilians killed, all because the Irakians want to make a nuclear bomb to blow up Israel... Yeah that will totally not have disastrous consequences for Irak... So dumb, only an American could have written this and not realize the hypocrisy of it all. It is a bad movie. I give it a 4/10.

If i were to end up with this "mother" in any catastrophe, i would blow my own brains out. Five seconds into the movie you can tell that this narcissistic, self-centered psychopath is going to **** moan and nag here way till the end of the movie. The "father" in this movie is the biggest idiot in the world. Not because of intelligence, but because he can't spot the giant crimson red flag in front of him. You'll watch him be mentally abused for about 90 minutes straight, and be mutilated in the end. Oh yeah, and there's something about androids attacking humans which feels like a forgotten plot line next to **** Eventually Arthur is introduced, who makes the movie much more interesting. Beware of the Androids intelligence. It was an underwhelming movie. 5/10.

Sweet girl is an unofficial sequel to Terminator. The attacker from the metro takes lethal blows as if they are balloons, even tough a single punch or push against a pole is enough to land in the hospital. But not this Terminator who throws a 220 lbs weighing Jason Momoa through a fortified window... Buuuullshiiiiiit! Well... At least his daughter is a treat to look at. Unfortunately the father and daughter aren't quiet smart, as they immediately become lowlife criminals and murderers after the death of a 'so called' journalist. Mediocre movie that fails to immerse or entertain the viewer. Actors don't seem to be immersed in their roles, and stumble towards the end with little weight behind it. 3/10.

There's a fine line between extending the story, and writing straight up fan fiction. This is fan fiction on steroids. Black kaedwin nobles? Amputee Witchers? Mages collaborating with mutant elves!? Monsters just flying into portals without looking back!? Gay Witchers!?? Did no one at any point think it might have been a good idea to just smack Lauren Schmidt Hissrich on the head, and tell her that no one likes her feminist, "all inclusive" garbage injections in the story? If you forget that the main goal of a movie is to entertain, but priortize some juvenile all inclusive political view, you have lost sight. I read somewhere that she has signed some deal with Netflix to do other shows, so maybe after season 2 some dude comes in and realizes how **** the casting for The Witcher has been so far. Stop blackwashing characters, and stop breaking the lore. It is not making your show better, and this movie isn't more diverse rather than just a travesty in terms of character portrayal. Now back to the movie. The movie is actually pretty darn entertaining until the final act. Witchers are getting arrogant, and one takes this to new extremes. Vesemir is a cocky Schwarzenegger, and gets a taste of his own medicine. And then there's a made up love interest, and some **** sorceress who, instead of working out her issues, blames all the Witchers for the acts of one bad apple in the most childish and irrational way you can think of. Entertaining, but come on. This is rather a parody than Canon with the books or The Witcher show. They even managed to **** up the appearance of Gerald of Rivia. Bald...??? Did they even read the books or is this just stabbing at non existing masoginy by the creator? 6/10.

The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, a sequel to the surprise hit that was its predecessor. The first movie had to be taken with a grain of salt, but the sequel has gone into Fast and Furious levels of ridiculousness. It is funny some of the time, but it feels disjointed from the seriousness of the first movie. Kincaid and Bryce are existing besides each other. Despite their chemistry and rivalry in the first movie, Samuel L. Jackson seems to phone it in for this movie. Salma Hayek takes centre stage, and Bryce is the target of ridicule. The AAA bodyguard status, which i thought was a joke and not real in the first movie, is pulled out of proportion. The movie turns into a parody on the first movie. It is funny at times, though it is hard to be immersed like with the first movie. I give it a 6/10.

Triple 9, which probably defines "an officer been shot" is full with known actors. Unfortunately it is not full of good writing or direction. Characters don't behave realistic. They act as if they want to be in Law and Order or Training Day. Deaths happen suddenly, but mostly in an anti-climactic manner. Paranoïd characters suddenly drop their guard, and then die. It is really stupid. The opening scene starts out strong with a clever heist plan. However, one dumb character lets greed get the better of him and immediately infects other characters with his stupidity. Kate Winslet plays the **** with cleavage, and Gal Gadot walks around... and that is the definition of their characters. I fell asleep with this movie multiple times out of sheer boredom. Lots of well known actors, but none of the quality they are known for. It is an epic failure. 2/10.

Obvious Villain tries to kill President. Villain has non-existing super weapons and kills everyone except hero and president. Hero survives and saves the day. And Gerard Butler looks more unhealthy by the minute. Dumb.

Wow. He killed two people... Because he thought he knew better from his comfy seat back in the US. And he doesn't even take responsibility for it... This man is a psychopath. Nonetheless, Harp rapidly evolves from being a remorseless psychopath into being a giant hypocrite. Leo, being a very funny and likable character, drives home some good points about the US' flaws and its mistake in creating AI. When the US kills foreigners, it's called Collateral Damage. When US soldiers or citizens are killed, it's called evil and a massacre. And by the end of the movie you'd wish that this bittersweet truth would become reality. But no, they went for the cheesy happy ending. Such a shame. Nonetheless, i was thoroughly entertained and captivated by the action, the moral dilemma's and interesting topics. I give this movie an 8/10.

Okay, wtf is this? What kind of drugs were the writers, director and producers on? Because they must be amazing if they think this movie is good. Nothing makes sense and there is not even remotely realistic human behavior present in the movie. A cringeworthy, but mostly dull movie. It's a 2/10.

In true sequel fashion, it is not the hit that its predecessor was. While the use of Danny Devito and Danny Glover is funny, it doesn't hide the fact that characters have the same issues as in the first movie. The charisma of The Rock is non-existent, and other than Jack Black there's not much reason for this cast to be in it. The plot is forgettable, but there's just enough humour in it that it wasn't a failure. It's an average movie.

The sequel to The babysitter! And... well it's still ridiculous and rather dumb. The chicks are still dressed like sluts, and the kid that could have been The Rainmaker is a weak intellectual until demons show up, and they show up in a stupidly contrived manner. But it's still entertaining to watch this comedic teen adventure, even if it is much weaker than its predecessor. I give it a 5/10.

The Old Guard, which could also be named "Old plot conveniences, New wokeness." A Bunch of immortals go into combat zones without useful gear, and are efficient because of plot armor. Walking through deserts without water or a mask in case of a sandstorm? No problem for these blank slates! The CIA is after them to extract hormones so that a cosmetics company can sell immortal juice. Then a fifth jelly fish human becomes immortal, and joins this band of uncharismatic catwalk models. For some reason the US Army has full female squads that have a serious lack of testosterone, but add just enough of that 'Let a woman do a man's job' expression, only to **** it up even worse. Characters can teleport across continents, and have a compass in their brains. Next to that, the "bad guys" are also telepathic as they are able to track a bunch of ghosts with no explanation. And if you are a side character, you are useless and just their to comment on how cool the main characters are. So juvenile. Conversations are hollow, with no believable weight behind them. It's like these people have major insecuritie issues, and need constant acknowledging that they are "good." It reminds me so much of Gemini Man. I hate Gemini Man. Question: Why, if they are immortal, do they keep doing things that get them killed? For a bunch of deadly warriors, they aren't very good at staying alive without convenient immortality. They don't question the higher reason behind their immortality, but instead just kill. What a waste. This movie is the definition of contrived, feminist and lazily written fan fiction. It's just entertaining enough that it will keep you interested in seeing where it ends, but it will make you roll your eyes the entire time. It's a terrible movie. I give it a 3/10.

The Outpost is based on true events that happened around one of the most northern US military camps in Afghanistan. The camp was poorly placed and wasn't safe to defend, causing many soldiers to lose their life. And eventually, the series of errors lead to a catastrophe. The movie is expertly shot, using long uninterrupted shots instead of many cut frames. Explosions, military gear, wounds and tactics look realistic. The viewer gets to know the characters through dialogue and events, making a connection with these men as they are put in harms way. An impressive movie! I give it a 9/10.

Imagine a historically accurate WW2 movie with true to life discrimination, racism and responsible personalities that don't like killing or being in Germany. Now toss that out of a window, and suspense your sense of disbelief for Overlord. Overlord is a Horror/Science fiction movie set in WW2 about a squad that has to take out a tower on a church held by Germans. But somehow, the Germans have found Mr. Hyde juice underground, and inject people with it to turn them into 70's horror characters. Apart from an American GI Joe that watched too many not yet existing movies and some whiny stereotypes, it's basically a woke squad of 5 people against a German army. Plot armor and PC culture save the day, as an African-American private (didn't happen because of racism) and a French hooker cliché their way to victory. That's really all i can say without spoiling this contrived Sitcom of a movie. The little kid in this movie is hilarious though. He makes funny (out of place) faces, and runs into gunfights while screaming as if he's doing a Rohirrim charge. I think he was supposed to star in a home alone movie, but got the studios mixed up and now plays in a WW2 horror movie. It's an average movie. I give it a 6/10.

The Hunt is a movie that shows just how ridiculous the world has become. But not because of the killing of people, but how sensitive moral standards have become. Say one thing as a joke, and it can be taken completely out of context. And thus the ridiculous killing begins. The movie makes fun of clichés as it pretends to have at least three protagonists, right before each gets horribly murdered. The movie is funny, and i like how it gives the middle finger to cancel culture and overly sensitive morals. But apart from that, i can't say that the movie is entertaining enough to be called good. I give it a 6/10. It is a passable movie.

In the Heart of the Sea tells the 'true story' behind the white whale later called Moby ****. We follow Owen Chase, a whaler who is crossed by the Nantucket family by not granting him the title of Captain. He has to get along with Pollard, a Nantucket family member who gets to be captain by heritage. Both set out on their ship to collect Whale oil, which at that time is used to light candles. After suffering poor results in their hunt for whales, they decide to sail over a 1000 nautical miles to find a supposed hotspot of whales. Things go wrong and a great white whale sinks their ship, leaving them stranded in the middle of the pacific ocean. After facing hunger, cannibalism, insanity and thirst, they find rescue. So, the movie tells a pretty straight forward story. It goes into surprisingly much detail at times, yet completely shies away from anything that could be R rated. The whales are all shot in CGI (no surprise there) but fail to look very realistic. At times shots are even re-used, which comes across a bit lazy. The characters all seem to lack conviction in their portrayal. It was enjoyable to watch nonetheless. I learned more stuff about whailing. I give it a 7/10.

It's a Michael Bay movie, so what are you exactly expecting? It's definitely waaaay better than any Transformers movie, but it is still abundant with all the dumb elements you expect from a Michael Bay movie. The Plot: 6 people form a vigilante group to take out bad guys because they don't believe that the legal process will bring justice. They follow a billionaire who wants to bring down a dictator by replacing him with his liberal brother. What are the odds... They do this by screaming out of place lines during action scenes, making jokes all the time, and shooting people that result in slow-motion shots of bullets piercing faces. The action is over the top, but nonetheless amusing. It's dumb, there's no way around it. The characters are cliche's, the violence is so gruesome that is doesn't look realistic anymore, and there are lots of explosions. And in end, it was actually just okay. I give it a 6/10.

Funny, exciting and intriguing. Knives Out is about solving the murder of Harlan, a successfull fiction writer who's wealth only seemed to increase the gap between him and his family. When he is found one morning with his throat cut, a murder mystery unfolds. To keep it short: The movie is very funny, with many different intriguing characters that all seem to have a reason to dislike Harlan, and Daniel Craig portrays a funny private detective that has a nose for people and their intensions. I really liked the movie! I was thoroughly entertained, laughed a lot and i can recommend it to other people. I give it a 9/10.

First man is a movie about Neil Armstrongs depressing journey to getting to the moon. He's played by Ryan Gosling, and describes his 8+ years preparation and inner turmoils. And what it barely features is the actual pressence on the moon. The movie mostly flashes out the loss of Neil's daughter called Karen, and the friends and colleagues who died in preparation for the Moon mission. Apart from it being interesting, it doesn't come across as tense or exciting due to Ryan Gosling's questionable acting. During much of the movie Ryan looks like he doesn't know where he is. I liked how the movie didn't shy away from using technical terms, and shows the un-romantic side of science. I however wished that they would have shown the walk on the moon, the planting of the flag, the collecting of rocks. Instead we get a scene where Neil drops a bracelet, and next thing you know he's already back at Earth. Dissapointing. The movie misses something incredibly important: A climax. The movie fades to black after an incredibly awkard scene, and we are left with more questions than when we stepped into the movie. It's an average watch, and i give it a 6/10.

The Irishman is a movie based on a novel, describing a theory about the dissapearance of Jimmy Hoffa. It stars actors like Robert De Niro, Al Pacino and Joe Pesci, making for an interesting cast. As for the result though, i was expecting something more thrilling. The movie does its job of characterizing the several characters, but fails in creating a sense of excitement, tension or atmosphere. Lots of scenes feature very slow, awkward dialogues, and it doesn't help that the CGI that is supposed to make characters look younger and older looks very fake. De Niro looks like a freaking alien with his green eyes. It was enjoyable enough, but just enough as there isn't much in this movie to make it memorable (except the incredibly fake and creepy green eyes). Also, 3,5 hours is way to long considering how little excitement is in it. I give this movie a 7/10.

Action packed, tense and impressive in terms of audio and visuals, Midway doesn't hold back on showing the viewer what struggles the US military faced after Pear Harbor. Midway takes a true-to-real-life-events approach to showing the build up to the battle that changed the odds for the Pacific War. Instead of showing only a heroic, romanticized and ideal portrayal of soldiers and the battle, the movie shows many problems the US navy faced. It makes the characters' situation feel tense, and you'll start to feel scared for them as they go into combat. The actors did an excellent job, and i like how the makers of the movie didn't shy away from using technical terms. It's a fantastic movie, and i give it a 9/10.

Dolemite is my name, based on Charlie Murphy, is played by Eddie Murphy and describes Charlie's ambition to become someone that's famous. The movie is pretty darn entertaining, with likable characters that go through their own development. Some personalities are so extravagant that it will crack you up for minutes. In summary, it is an incredibly good movie that will make you smile from ear to ear. I give it a 9/10.

Based on real events, The Kill Team is supposed to show a dark blemish of the Afghan Invasion by the United States. Manipulated and enabled by a Sergeant that condones committing war crimes as if it is justified, several young soldiers commit murder on innocent afghan villagers. Among this squad of soldiers, Specialist Briggman feels trapped as he is aware of the murders, but feels threatened by his Sergeant and squad mates. What is supposed to be a dark war drama, unfortunately comes off as a rather amateurish attempt at creating tense atmosphere. Scenes that are supposed to make you feel uncomfortable don't deliver much except stretched out exposition, and the main character doesn't come across as stressed or scared, but rather oblivious. The movie is a slow burner with little to no peaks in tension, and after 105 minutes the movie ends without much of a climax. Unfortunately this leaves a rather underwhelming after taste. I give this movie a 5/10.

Meet Molly. An unlikable, self absorbed victim of an insecure father that forced her into being an anti-social elitist that was struck a bad hand while competing in the olympics. When she closes the door on her father, she starts **** poker games. And then stuff goes wrong, she faces prosecution and suddenly a sense of pride and morality is injected into the movie that comes out of nowhere... So, Molly was pushed from an early age to be 'a winner' by her psychotic father. Even though this gives her acute scoliosis, it doesn't stop him from pushing her even further. Apparently, her brothers became succesfull through this treatment, and she is the black sheep of the family. I'm getting sick to my stomach just from putting this into sentences. Two hours into the movie it is suddenly revealed that her dad was ashamed of cheating on molly's mother, and that changed molly into something that hates the idea of a normal relationship. This pretty much drops out of nowhere as the first two hours are really just about Molly **** poker matches, and shows how rich this makes her. That, and Jessica Chastain had to do the entire movie with her breasts being pushed up to distract the audience from this weirdly written script. It seems like the movie doesn't know what it wants to be. Does it want to show how cool it is to get succesfull and rich in **** poker, or does it want to be some drama about psychotic personalities? Calling it entertaining would go way too far for me. It's an average movie. I give it a 6/10.

What on the surface might look like 'another Gerard Butler movie' is actually a very tense, atmospheric and well made crime movie that reminds me of Heat. The Premise: A crew of former soldiers and some criminals perform high stakes heists in Los Angeles, taking increasingly higher risks to get rich and call it quits. The leader of the heist crew doesn't seem to recognize when to stop though, and after a messy job he gets spotted by Nick, a police officer with some rather unorthodoxe methods. Thus a tense rivalry starts as the crew prepares for a very audacious job. Throughout the movie the tension is conveyed very well on the viewer as the heist leader and the officer become increasingly hostile towards each other. Action scenes are visceral, well filmed and get your blood pumping. Though there's not much of it, what's there is well done. I can recommend this movie, i give it an 8/10.

A movie about a guy that is stranded on the Arctic, presumably after he crashed there. To make matters worse, another person gets stranded with him when they crash trying to safe him. He has made himself cozy in the wreckage of an airplane and even has a few fishing spots! Though there's a polar bear roaming around, he seems to be doing alright considering the circumstances. The woman that is stranded with him is badly wounded, but gets the best possible care from him. Though they are waiting, hoping for rescue, the guy suddenly makes some of the worst decisions out of nowhere. See, guy found a map in the wreckage of woman which shows a seasonal station somewhere over some mountains. Even though this is incredibly far away, guy gets the bright idea to leave his safe shelter, infinite food supply and clear landmark to try and travel across the deadly landscape that has ice crevices, polar bears of death, blizzards and pink flowers that throw you under huge rocks! In the end, guy and woman are (presumably) safed by a helicopter crew just as they think it is over. Let's hope this chopper doesn't crash, because the movie cuts away just like THAT! Fades to black out of nowhere. Well, it was pure damn luck, that's for sure. Don't get me wrong, i enjoyed watching the movie. But i cringed at the following 3 mistakes made by guy: 1) He left the safety of the airplane wreckage: This seems like a really bad move. That airplane was his protection against the elements and bears, and also his Isolation from the cold. He also has several fishing spots just outside that seem to give him enough food (protein rich) to last for quite some time until rescue could find him. Leaving just seems like a really bad idea. 2) He gave up on the short route: Now i get it. He's not a power lifter and his situation probably made him exhausted, but there's no reason to give up on a shorter route when you haven't tried everything yet. Guy has to pull woman on brancard up a hill, but it is heavy! He keeps dropping the rope, and gives up! Had he looked 20° to his left, he would have spotted a large rock that he could have used to make a 'block' around. This would have prevented woman on brancard from falling, as the knot would have held her up until he grabbed the other robe to pull and then tie down too. He choose a route more then twice the length of the safest route instead! Wtf!? 3) He burned his jacket: When he sees a chopper and lights his flare, he decides to also burn is protective jacket to make the fire big, yet less visible... In the end they got out presumably, but i can't help but feel that guy took an unnecessary risk several times. Still, it's a good movie and enjoyable to watch. I give it a 7/10.

Boring, emotionless, lazy and above all else... A waste of your time. I wondered for nearly two hours how this abomination came to be... But then i saw David Benioff credited as writer, and suddenly everything made sense again. The story: Will Smith is a hitman, who is indoctrinated with the idea that he's 'the best', even though no arguments are presented to support that theory, nor are other assassins presented. Nonetheless, we watch a movie with over one hour of lazy and emotionless conversations that haven't been changed from the first draft of the script. Will Smith, who is usually such a good actor, has no emotional reaction to hearing that someone used his DNA to create a Clone before the first sheep was cloned... The **** Some of the fight scenes are impressive by using high frame rate camera's, but can't elevate the movie higher than something that looks like it was filmed on a spare requisite set. Supposed soldiers die like flies, and the laws of physics only apply to those that aren't working for the government. Yuck. I could go on about this abomination, but the fact remains that this movie is underwhelming and lazy in each aspect. Stay away from it, don't watch it on any streaming platform, and go watch Rambo: Last Blood. Sylvester Stallone is not a good actor, but his performance is Shakespeare compared to Gemini Man. I give this movie a 3/10. It is a terrible movie.

7 years after the ending of Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan decided to make a movie to show what happened to Jessie Pinkman after he escaped his prison. When i say after though, it really only applies to 60% of the movie, as there are quite a bit of flashbacks. Jessie Pinkman, scarred and traumatized by his imprisonment, has to find a way to hide and run away. As a known partner to the greatest meth empire kingpin called Heisenberg, he has to find a way to start anew, and that requires money. Thus the thrilling escape begins. While the scenes regarding present day events are immersive and get you on the edge of your seat, the flashbacks take away a lot of the tension. Characters are brought back in a rather contrived way, as their scenes don't change anything about the present day story. It also doesn't help that the original actors have aged or changed a lot, breaking immersion with the show a lot. Todd has suddenly gained a 100 pounds, and went from looking like a guy in his twenties to a fat middle aged guy. Bryan Cranston also makes an appearance, though his aging is too noticeable and his presence too forced and unnecessary. Why can't the movie stand on its own without having to use the characters from the show other than those who are truly integral to the story? In the end, Jessie Pinkman finds his chance to start fresh and walk away from his tormented past. For years i wondered what would happen to him, and i'm glad El Camino wrapped up his story. Unfortunately, i feel like much of this movie is fan fiction considering all the unnecessary flashbacks. Hadn't these been forced in, it could have been a worthy sequel to Breaking Bad. Nonetheless, It is a good movie, i give it a 7/10.

Joker, based on the DC villian, is a drama movie about Arthur Fleck who through a life of hardship becomes the calamity that is called Joker. It is dark, it is brutal and it is a good movie. Arthur Fleck was dealt the worst hand imaginable when he was born. He was adopted by a delusional, mentally ill woman that had an abusive boyfriend. Other than that, she stood by as this man beat and abused her adopted son... You feel that? That depression? Well now imagine if that kid grows up, becomes a clown while having mental problems, and the city is going through a recess of sorts that cuts the funding of his social worker that prescribes his anti-depressive medication! We meet Arthur when he's already at the edge of falling down, but when he stops receiving his medication and accepts his own emotions towards society's standards, he finally finds himself. And with him Gotham city takes justice in its own hands, becoming sodom and gomorra. What is great, is how we see a very different perspective of Thomas Wayne and the elite class then we are used to from the Batman movies. It is refreshing. It was an enjoyable watch, with a good performance by Joaquin Phoenix. I give it a 7/10. Though this version of the Joker is interesting, i can't help but feel that Heath ledger's version was more impactfull.

Wow. This movie is freaking brutal. From the conversations, to the action and even innocent teenagers aren't safe! And it makes for a good movie! Rambo: Last Blood is the fifth and (presumably) the last Rambo movie with Sylvester Stallone. John Rambo has settled down on his family farm breeding horses, and even has a daughter he fathers. All seems well until the daughter finds her abusive father in Mexico, and decides to visit him. The father gives the brutal truth to her, but that is not the thing that gets her in trouble. A lot of trouble! John travels to Mexico to find and safe her, but things don't work out as we all hope. Last Blood could easily be renamed Oceans of blood, as people are sliced, diced and grinded to such small pulp it will make beach sand look like M&M's. The movie takes a lot of effort to show the relationship between Rambo and his daughter, and makes you sit at the edge of your seat as stuff gets really dark. In fact, watching bad people die in horrible ways after what they did never felt so gratifying. May they burn in hell. The connections between the characters feels real, and it plays on your heart strings. Action and brutality is so vicious and gory that it will make you feel sorry for the victims, even if they are terrible people. It's an excellent action movie, showing another chapter in the life of John Rambo. Unfortunately this is not a happy story at all, but that is the essence of Rambo. He has lived in a world of life of death, and as people around him die he gets to live with the sorrow. I did notice a few weird things in the movie. A lot of camera shots were zoomed in so much that it only captured 50% of people's faces, which i found to be odd. Some scenes happen too abruptly, as if there's a whole scene in between missing. It did not hurt my enjoyment of the movie luckily. I can recommend this movie. I give it a 8/10.

How it Ends is best described as a disaster among disaster movies. In typical Netflix fashion this is another failed attempt at making a good Sci-Fi movie. From the start interaction between characters feels very awkward. Though the two lead characters were written that way, it is still an overall problem between all the characters. Will, the bloke that took daddy's little girl, is a **** that looks stressed out all the time. Tom, the military daddy, is a very dominant direct guy that clearly is struggling with the fact that Will is such a big **** And that's their entire relationship in a nutshell. When a videocall suddenly ends with the girlfriend not understanding a sound, all contact with the west coast is lost. For some reason GPS and phones don't work either, which implies that all the satellites around the Earth are no longer working... Which is practically impossible... But sure, let's believe that for a moment. Daddy and **** decide to go to Seattle to save the Girlfriend, and along the way they run into more problems than a turkey at a Thanksgiving dinner. Then, half way through the movie the writing suddenly improves a lot. The main characters have a more real touching chemistry, and scenes get more interesting compared to before. This doesn't last long though. It lapses back into shallowness and stupidity straight after that. Turns out that Girlfriend is still alive, and she's staying with a conspiracy theorist who for some reason gets **** boyfriend to act like a real ****. Suddenly it becomes important who believes what instead of the fact that people have died. It's ridiculous. The movie ends with **** boyfriend killing the conspiracy theorist, and then driving away with girlfriend to outrun a volcanic eruption. And then it just ends... Wtf. No questions about what is going on are answered, and the end doesn't feel satisfying. It's a mediocre movie with some enjoyment in the middle, but a lackluster start and finish. I give this movie a 5/10.

Much like the first movie, It Chapter Two has a lot of disturbing scenes, and none of them include Pennywise a.k.a. the only person to have ever been bullied to death. The characters from the first movie have grown up, and have all forgotten what happened in the town they grew up in. All except one dude who lives in an attic above a library, who has been preparing for the return of the killer clown. And from that point on the story is pretty much the same as chapter One, with the exception that main characters can die now. What's most disturbing is the brutal way people in this town treat each other. In the intro of the movie a gay couple gets beaten halve to death for no justified reason, and one of them even gets thrown into a river from a bridge to drown. What the hell is wrong with these people? Pennywise comes across much nicer and even less gruesome compared to these hillbilly psychopaths. The story takes its time to explain the main characters, and the pacing becomes rather slow and boring halfway through the movie. None of the encounters with Pennywise really strike a scary tone, and the final showdown is very underwhelming and incredibly stupid. The movie is over 2 hours long, which is way longer than is deserved. While the first movie wasn't memorable but did entertain a little, i see much less value in this movie. I give this movie a 5/10. It's an underwhelming movie.

Quentin Tarantino's 9th movie, based on the murder of Sharon Tate by the Charlie Manson Family. While working towards the Infamous climax, we are introduced to Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth who struggle to stay relevant in the Hollywood business. What is initially a story about Rick Dalton's declining career, becomes an ominous tale that leads to the gruesome murder of Sharon Tate... Or does it? During the first two hours, characters are build and put into perspective to make the audience have a connection with them. This is all tied to known stars and Hollywood figures of 1969, making for some very fun and tense scenes. Unfortunately, the viewer is left wondering for a very long time where it will go until the ranch is visited by Cliff Booth, with little extraordinary excitement during the first two hours. Finally, during the climax of the movie things get exciting and tense. In typical Tarantino fashion, stuff gets crazy. While the ending is very satisfying, it will take a long time of watching lesser scenes that are really only there to make the viewer care about the characters. The movie dwells on the border of being entertaining, and succeeding only barely. It is a good movie, but i don't think anyone will watch it a second time in comparison to other Tarantino movies. I give it a 7/10.

It should be renamed 'Psychotic Parents.' The movie is very creepy due to every parent being either a psychopath or an insensitive a-hole! And there's even a pedofile father that's into his own daughter. Freaking disturbing. Oh, and there's a clown that's not really that scary. The moments that incorporate darkness and silence are well done though. Every character basically has a horrible life, and now a clown comes to ruin it even more. It was entertaining to watch, but i expected more depth to the killing clown. What's his origin, or how did he come into existence? Instead, it decides to copy every horror trope like 'It lives in the [insert creepy place]' or 'It happens every [insert a number] years.' Just like The Ring, Jeepers Creepers and more. Those are some good movies to take inspiration from ofcourse. I did keep watching it till the end, but after the initial 45 minutes it lost a lot of steam for me. The most intense moment remains the first meeting between Pennywise and the little brother, but after that It doesn't impress much. I give this movie a 6/10. It's an average horror movie.

A movie about a fool, a coward and a cheat. When a man makes a unrealistic promise, digging a hole for himself, he sets himself up for failure. And that's just the plot... I can't relate to a man that almost gambled his own business and house away, especially if his wife and children depend on it to live. Next to that, i think the movie actually intensifies his failure with questionable production and writing choices. Colin Firth has the same expression on his face during 90% of the movie, and it doesn't match events that happen right under his nose (seeing whales and a school of dolphins). Some very strange scenes in the final act confuse the viewer as to what is actually going on, and it leaves a very unsatisfying taste. This is the kind of story you show off in a documentary, and not a movie. No matter how fast the lie, the truth will always come out. It's a bad movie, and i give it a 4/10.

A movie about a bunch of entitled medical students that think they can take shortcuts to a successful career, instead of working for it and facing their own mistakes. Ironically, their bad decisions will force them to face their past. The idea of killing yourself to study what comes after it is... Well what do you think? It's so stupid, so irresponsible and so bizarre... These people are completely unfit to become medical doctors. They even think (and act) as if it makes them edgy and smart. Suddenly some characters even start talking like 5 year olds when some of the group don't agree, telling them to leave if they don't like it. Great writing... Then comes the horror part, which is even less convincing and lazy. The horror amounts to nothing more than jump scares, distorted voices and stares. As for the actors, someone should have told them how normal human beings behave because they all act like drugged, smug brats. It was dumb, it was not scary, it wasn't entertaining to watch and it hasn't got a grain of logic to it. I give this movie a 3/10 it is a bad movie.

So here's the plot. A united states diplomat had a perfect life in Beirut, which is a pool of death. He has adopted a kid that turns out to be the brother of a highly sought after terrorist. The brother takes the kid, and in the process the diplomat's wife gets shot and killed. Dandy right? The diplomat then moves back to the US, being traumatized i guess, and starts a career in drinking and being a negotiator. Then, 10 years later, the kid has become a terrorist too, and kidnaps a United States spy to trade for his super terrorist brother. And then the cat and mouse game begins. Though i initially thought the movie was going in a very cheesy direction, i was actually quite entertained. The location, background and situation is sufficienctly layed out, and the characters act human. Though the main character is not relatable, he does carry his weight and makes stuff happen. Without going in further detail, it's an okay movie. I feel like they could have taken it further with the ties to current events in Israel and Libanon at the time, but this will do. I give it a 7/10.

A story about a man that was too arrogant, and got himself into jail. From that point on, his story transforms into one about heroism and strength as he never gives up on his hope to escape the hellish prison in French Genua in 1931. . What strikes me the most from watching this movie, is the sheer strength in Papillon to survive 7 years of solitary prison, and yet not give up. By the time he does escape, and probably settles in Venezuela, the world is at the tipping point of going into World War II. For this man however, that must have weight much less considering what he has been through. Despite what some critics are saying with 'this movie offers little', i judge every story for what it is. And the story in this movie was very interesting and entertaining to watch. It's an excellent movie, and i give it an 8/10.

I am mother has potential! It's just never utilized! It could be a spiritual successor to Terminator, but thankfully it isn't. From the start, the idea of a robot raising a human being can be debunked by the fact that every organism learns trough imitation. Humans learn to express emotions and non-verbal communication by watching their parents and people around them. Without that influence, a person will always severely lack behind in social skills. As for the plot of the movie, clearly they had a basic concept and never decided to enrich it. Questions that appear from the start (for example the fact that the girl is barely 18, yet the bunker has been online for 13.857 days = 37,8 years) could be answered within 20 minutes, but the writer decided to stretch them out over the entire movie. The result is that the movie feels empty of much substance and meaning, and is too slow to be sufficiently entertaining. The two actresses both don't offer much in the way of a memorable appearance. Hilary Swank mostly looks like she's tormented by the smell of faeces, and the girl has barely any personality. Either through a dominant parent robot or just being a **** the girl makes questionable decisions and creates more problems than neccessary. Then there's the moment that answers are revealed. To be honest, i saw it coming after just 15 minutes into the movie. It's so predictable, and even dissapointing when it's finally revealed. It's another average movie that is just okay enough to watch, yet too boring and uninspired to be memorable. I give it a 6/10.

Dated, dumb and cliché. The movie was made in 1997, but it seems to be dated even compared to movies from the 80's. Characters are straight up clichés from older movies. You got captain cool that will safe everyone, the woman who will do something stupid and get herself killed. The young kid that is the first victim, the black dude that makes sexual innuendos and lame jokes, and ofcourse the doctor from the government with a god complex. Besides the defying of basic laws of physics, the movie thinks it is also capable of ripping off the horror movies that came ten years before it. Supposedly, the ship has gone to 'hell'... and now it's alive. Yup. There's a scene where a small explosion sends a crew member, stuck on some debry, flying out of the atmosphere from the gas planet they are on... and then he decides to just fly back in his space suit... Not at all being crushed by the immense gravity, as he softly glides to the window of the Event Horizon... This movie... Making this review longer would suggest there's anything in it worthy to be taking seriously. The best thing i can say about it, is that it is so bad that it almost becomes good. I would rather watch this again than Alien: Covenant and The Predator, and even The Hunger Games: Mockingjay part 2. But then again, that's like comparing having your teeth pulled out instead of braking a toe. It is a bad, dumb movie. I give it a 4/10.

Gruesome, brutal and shocking. A strong stomach is required as this movie will test how much missery you can take from watching a movie. In 1892, a Union captain with a track record of killing many indians and having a serious hate towards them, is tasked with bringing a dying chief to his sacred burial land. Even though the captain objects fiercely, he will bring the chief and his family to the Valley of the Bears in Montana. On the way there the group will suffer many obstacles and brutality, eventually culminating into a redemption arc for the captain. The story of the movie is interesting, and while being very gruesome it will keep you entertained. Watching the movie i got quite confused who was the biggest culprit of violence: The indians, or the colonists? The movie itself seems to lean towards the colonists. As for negatives, the slow pacing of the movie will test your patience. For some reason the movie is incredibely muted, forcing me to turn up the volume of my tv 3 fold. The acting is convincing, and so are the overgrown moustaches. Although the movie doesn't have a good ending, the redemption arc itself brings joy as you watch the movie. I give this movie a 7/10.

If you are done with predictable action movies, this is the movie for you. Mistakes, arrogance and greed are severly punished, and it's refreshing to see in a movie. Five ex-military guys that are spit out by the US army, and deal with their own issues as well as being disappointed with the little respect towards veterans. One of them devises a way to get rich by killing a druglord, while also stealing his money. And they succeed mostly up to the point of killing the druglord and taking the money. After this though, they get cocky. Now, in most action movies obstacles are beaten with extreme divine luck, making it quite exciting when a movie actually takes that luck and smacks it in the face of the protagonists. I've seen comments about these military guys being surprised by villagers and that it's not realistic, but that's the effect of years of dumb action movies. No matter how well you are trained, no one is psychic and has eyes in the back of their head. Go watch Lone Survivor, which is a far more realistic view of how military operations can go completely wrong. It's raw, viceral and refreshing. It's an excellent movie, and i give it an 8/10.

If you're expecting a well written, emotional an inspiring movie about saving refugees from crimes against humanity, then look elsewhere. Right from the start the movie takes no shame in turning this into a fan tribute to Chris Evans. Had he worn his Captain America suit, it would have been the exact same movie. Next to that, 60% of conversations in this movie are done through dumb stares. Either that, or Chris Evans doing out of place workouts. Then comes the cliché introduction of what can only be described as a heist movie recruitment montage. A woman i will call discount Jennifer Lawrence, who apparently is a trained ninja that manages to scan documents from a briefcase in 1979 while being on a plane... yup. There's also a playboy nudist who smack his **** against friends, and an assassin that kills someone at 'Station Centraal, Amsterdam' (Bad dutch, it's Centraal Station Amsterdam), yet kills NO ONE during the actual mission. Oh and there's a whiny guy that acts all grumpy. Well, that's the heist... i mean rescue crew. The movie does a poor job of flashing out the actual turmoils that refugees face. They show executions, yet not the ****, the cutting of limbs, burning of people and war children. Instead, the movie shows a heavily romanticised version of the refugees journey, focused on 5 people that get tanned while transporting people. Quite an insult to the actual turmoils. It's an underwhelming movie, with no interesting characters. Also, major plotholes! Somehow the Sudan military becomes telepathing and knows straight away that the refugees are at some abondoned airfield! It's freaking **** give this movie a 5/10.

I'm keeping it short. Very enjoyable movie with lots of humor, tying up the Avengers storyline started in 2008. Not as exciting as Infinity War, but definitely a worthy ending. The movie takes a slower pace compared to Infinity War, as this entry focusses more on the characters and their story arcs. Time travel is introduced (so prepare to suspend your sense of disbelief even more) to go back in time, get the Infinity Stones and bring back everyone who got snapped away! And this concludes in a last, EPIC fight scene. It's really all i have to say. It's a fantastic movie. I give it a 9/10.

In a surprise twist, the Live Action version of Aladdin Proofed to be an enjoying watch on its own terms. The genie, played by Will Smith, was very funny in it's own unique way. Songs are revised versions of the original ones, but are still enjoyable to listen to. Jasmine and Aladdin are well played by their respective actors, but the other characters have become extra's to their original versions. Jafar isn't nearly as terrifying and dangerous as the original 1992 version, and has a strange fetish with invading neighbouring countries for no other reason than territorial expansion. The realism of visuals suffer due to the sets being made out of CGI for the most part, looking worse than some of the original Ice Age movies. Whoever said that practical effects are unnecessary or pointless should get his head out of his/her ass, and this movie is the perfect example of why too much CGI will hurt your movie. The final act is unfortunately rather underwhelming. If you were looking forward to the scene where Jafar turns into a massive Snake, you'll be disappointed. Instead, Jago turns into a bigger bird... Great. What a missed oppertunity. Also, the movie leans strongly to Social Justice Warriors propoganda, as Jasmine becomes the next ruler of a Muslim ruled state... yes i'm not making this up. This comes through especially when Jasmine sings a song for a second time, braking the immersion of a particular scene. I don't mind woman empowerment in media, but implement it in a creative and believable way. All in all, this was a good movie. It was funny and amusing. I give this movie a 7/10.

The Lion King (2019) is in every sense of the word a carbon copy of The Lion King from 1994. Except, it misses all the things that made that movie good, and this movie is just the empty husk that remains. To be clear, The Lion King (2019) is NOT a bad movie! It just misses some very important elements that the original had. By going the direction of Live Action (which is basically just CGI) the expressiveness of characters is lost, as emotions don't come across through facial animations. Animals have the same empty stare on their faces (Which is more realistic ofcourse) but don't express the emotions that should go with their lines. The visuals on screen are very beautiful, but do little for the movie. The music sounded muted, and didn't match what was happening on screen. Which is surprising considering the original movie did this right, but in this version the music feels downgraded. Considering the voices are done by popular people rather than experienced voice actors, this feels cheap. That brings me to the next point: The voice actors. There are a few characters like Simba, Nala and Scar that have voice actors that don't seem to match very well. Especially when 'Can you feel the love tonight' starts playing, there's a lack of harmony between Donald Glover and Beyonce. One is just talking, and the other one tries way to hard. A shame. In this version, Scar actually has a backstory! He's the brother of Mufasa (a.k.a. Lion on steriods) and was beaten in a power struggle to lead. Thus he became the scarred lion that hates his brother. Other than this though, Scar is not at all impressive as a character. What's left to say? Disney clearly doesn't care about the quality of their rushed remasters, so why should we? My recommendation: Watch the original movie from 1994. You'll enjoy it way more than this movie. I give The Lion King (2019) a 6/10. It's an average movie.

From start to finish, the movie plays on your emotion. Rarely have i seen a depiction of the holocaust so true to the gruesome truth, and it made me incredibly sad. It shows how opportunism brings out the worst in people, and that comrades will turn into wolves to preserve what's left of their own power. It's for that reason that Ozcar Schindler's turnaround to help as many jews as he possible can is touching and redeeming. The hate, tiranny and monstrosity of the Gestapo and SS are on full display, as this is just one of the many camps where guards and camp leaders would gruesomely misuse their power. Heartbraking, that's the only word i can think of now. An incredibely astonishing and emotional movie still in 2019. I give this movie a 10/10.

If you are a 5 year old, you will think this movie is amazing. If you managed to age past 5 years however... Coming from Kong: Skull Island (Which i really liked and gave an 8/10), Godzilla: King of the Monsters goes back to Godzilla 2014, but decides to double down on stupidity in favor of a few more monsters. Don't be fooled, we really only got 4 monsters as the other ones have a combined screen time of less then 2 minutes. And 90% of this movie are scenes about the dumb-ass humans who all graduated from the 80's action movie intelligence school. Right from the start, the movie takes an incredibly slow and dumb approach to unveiling the monsters. Emma, who deserves to burn in the deepest and darkest pit of hell, is a psychopathic, mass murdering terrible mother with a god complex. Not only does she detonate bombs while her own husband and daughter are right in front of them, she even dares to pretend that she can shrug it off when it 'surprisingly' doesn't go according to plan. SHE is the Queen of the Monsters! She is responsible for every single human death after pushing the button! It's insulting to think that people defend this as a monster movie, when the writers of the movie themselves put so much screen time into the human characters. It should be renamed; Emma: Queen of Idiocy and Monsters. There are many moments in the movie that are so pointless and forgetable that i wonder why this movie is even around two hours long. There's a whole scene about a marine getting injured in the leg (which no one will even remember) that serves no purpose. The whole idea that an alien is somehow perfectly capable to communicate with Earth monsters doesn't even make sense in a monster movie. The jokes in this movie were so lame and boring that it irritated me. The daughter serves no purpose other than dragging the ORCA, and i really hope child services will remove her from her deranged and lunatic father. The only intelligent character in this whole movie is played by Charles Dance, who basically says: 'You opened pandora's box, yet are surprised when the results are not what you expected?' He actually makes sense there. Every single other character in this movie has the IQ of a Tiger with down syndrome (Google it, they exist). Are there good points? Yes there are: + Charles Dance was interesting and convincing + The moment Godzilla enters Boston was very impressive + The monster battles themselves are very awesome + Donald Trump wasn't President I was bored, and very disappointed in this lazy childish mess of a movie. Just because it's a monster movie doesn't mean you can't have well written characters, sensible plot points and good jokes. Just look at the MCU. I think Godzilla fans deserve better, and i definitely did considering i paid for this fan fiction. It is a bad movie. I give it a 4/10.
