I was looking forward to this, but it's a complete disapointment in any case. The graphics are PS3-like with highres-textures, everything actually feels flat 2D, even it's a "3D" walking simulator. Background is often 2D as well and doesn't even fit to the rest of the scenery. Also animation - animation?! This stiff mess is from 2005, as if a 12 year old discovered how to "animate" things for the first time. You have to "carefully" look around and observe this dull, uninteresting landscape, because you'll miss easily stuff you need to progress. It's a Tec-Demo of soemthing that could have been good at some point, but what's there is nothing but a flat grotesque walk through a surreal picture. If you like bizarre landscapes, I would recommend "Scorn" - this has at least great graphics, a story and a couple of more hours to play. Don't bother, seriously and sadly...

Mandragora: Whispers of the Witch Tree8
Jun 13, 2026
A very long and great DarkSouls 2D-Metroidvania with still some minor flaws in Design and Trophy-Bugs. So I played through made all side missions and it took me 43 hours altogether. I stopped playing and completing the Trophies as two bugs prevent to achieve 100%. First a ring blueprint can't be delivered as it doesn't appear in the list of "upgrades" and second discovering the map 100% as one tiny are (that changed at the endgame) is not reachable anymore... very sad. Beside those issues I never encountered any crashes or other game-breaking bugs at all. The great looking graphics and gameplay are perfect and the variety of how to customize the character also match it's big 3D brother. Also a bit sad is, that all the graphic and gameplay is nothing new and if you've played a few fantasy platformers you've seen it all before. It felt permanently like a DejaVu playing Mandragoria. World and bosses are fun to explore and fight, although some bosses are just frustrating a*h0l$ and of course the last boss is a pretty-hard-to-learn dude you'll spend an hour to achieve as its second incarnation doesn't leave you much time to learn how to avoid attacks and what to do, also will kill you pretty quick. Anyhow, a great game for 2D-DarkSouls Fans that keeps the player want to proceed. Allot of secrets and an accessible world-build makes this pretty fun to play. Of course it doesn't have any real vibes of DarkSouls as no "Myazaki" was involved. ;)

What a surprise! A multiplayer game that can be played perfectly solo with allot of time to explore, wait, look around and feel "the game". You'll meet other players, can team up, communicate, fight or just ignore with consequences. Allthough there is a 30 min limit, it never feels like I have to rush, because I always can return for a new run and keep my stuff that got extracted last time. I haven't progressed that much, still are at the first area and learn new things, but it's very interesting and feels somehow alive and well balanced. It's slow but intense, and of course you can hide if you want to and run to an exit point without complete your mission or collect any valuable items. It doesn't matter at all, just start a new raid! There's one major letDown and probably the reason why I'll stop playing this soon: whenever you die, you loose EVERYTHING you had in your session-inventory - EVERYTHING! Your newly crafted fully leveled weapons, modifiers, all healing stuff, buffs, everything you*ve collected during exploring, just everything in your inventory is gone. I h.a.t.e this! My dear developers, you seriously reward my play-time by trashing everything I've done in the last 30 minutes AND my stuff I made recently from valuable resources that I colledcted before? How do you think THIS is motivating and fun? I wanted to give it a 9 but now, THIS really **** badly and I can't give more than a 7.

Elden Ring Nightreign5
Dec 8, 2025
Well, I am kinda disapointed with this release of FromSoftware. It first looks and plays like Elden Ring but it's not Elden Ring at all! No magic, no soul, no "exploring", no time, just speed and running. This permanent time preassure leaves no room for exploring or breathing in the vibe of the place you're in. You basically run around like a madman, try to find and kill as much bosses as possible before entering the final boss(es). Always the same pattern, no change at all and if you're playing by yourself it's just frustratingly difficult and no fun at all. If you play with 2 more players, it get's messy quite fast, confused targets, lost and looking for the other two, wherever they are etc. The bosses are completely recycled from Elden Ring and other Dark Souls installments, only the few "Nightlords" are new, but pretty uninteresting and mostly fast moving and permanent attacking with high damage. It's still not balanced in a way it should be. I played ALL SoulsBorne games and of course Elden Ring including the DLC and I liked all of them, even Dark Souls 2 ;) but Elden Ring Nightrain is just a speedy rush with old bosses, no soul and couldn't keep me online more then 15 hours, sadly.

What a great game! THIS is how games should be in 2024/25 - great graphics, great combat, allot of content, allot of bosses, alive areas, unique level-design with surprises and the feeling as nothing looks the same. It's the only game so far I played a second time, right after finishing the first run. What a blast ... forget about Stellar Blade and the "sexy" protagonist, Wukong is the star in any aspect!I was actually surprised it was made with Unreal Engine 5 as I really doesn't like anything made with UE Version 4. So it seems there have been many progresses made with the 5ish Version or, the developers just knew how to make it feel good to play - cheers!

Hmmm, I don't get it how this game got so much positiv reviews!? I just came from BlackMyth:Wukong and was actually shocked how medicore, clonky and old-fashioned Stellar Blade is executed. Even the graphics are meh, standard level-design, seen, played, a hundred times before... But the WORST I find is the fighting, which has kinda lag in response, especially when it comes to dodge attacks. I mostly get hit and the gap between "perfect" dodge and normal dodge is as thin as a hair. I was looking forward playing this game as some dudes even wrote, that Stellar Blade is the game, Wukong should have been. ?!? I actually experience this the other way around: Wukong is EVERYTHING Stellar Blade wants to be but never will be. Can't believe that both games actually use the unreal engine and with Wukong it's kinda alive, physical, precise and responsive - while Stellar Blade is bold, edgey, static, grey and so generic allover. Well, I just read it Stellar Blade uses UE4 while Wukong UE5 ... that explains ALLOT as I in general do not like games made with Unreal Engine 4, as it just feels horribly static and dead while playing. And It certainly doesn't matter if you permanently have a good looking female infront of you when the game itself just **** and is no fun at all...

Oh it's still far from being perfect, but I don't mind at all, as the look & the atmosphere is some of the best I've experienced for some time. It somehow reminded me of my feelings I had when played the first time Dark Souls, Shadow of the Colossus or Scorn. This one is much more matured and "grounded" in a way not many games are! It's the world, how it looks and the music that works on me like magic. And it's kinda bold, rough and not polished, fighting is okay, could be better but it's also not bad. Things you find are mostly usefull and highly customizeable, it feels good to discover them. I like it allot, another beautiful strange universe with it's very own character - the omnistructure... ;)

I like(d) it allot! Yes, it could be Far Cry 7 an yes it gets repetitive at some point, but which game doesn't?! The world and exploration is fantastic and is so detailed, I often just sat down and observed what was going on! Light-FX, far views and not just a jungle to dive into. There are 3 major regions and one of them are giant planes with huge rocks and endless grass fields. This alone is worth playing the game! The main story is also very good and I was surprised of how I liked or disliked certain characters and even felt sad when some died. It also got a shocking moment closer to the end and the way of how humans treat this (and their) planet became pretty obvious. There are allot (!) of side activities, crafting of armor, weapons and food, enough extra missions to take care of and so many things to discover in this beautiful world. Earth must have looked like this BEFORE humans emerged and took a huge s*#t on this planet.Anyhow, I don't understand why someone dislikes this game with a score of 0. That's certainly not the case. If you like the Avatar movie (I actually didn't like the second part at all) and the world of Pandora, this is the simulation you have waited for.... ;)

I really enjoyed the visuals and the level-design. Fighting is kinda Idunno, not as precise as ith should be and quite often doesn't hit what it supposed to. But what really made my blood boil was, tadaa, the last boss fight. Of course it had to be way more difficult than ANYTHING else in this game, of course it needed to have TWO complete stages to f*kc around and of course NO bonfire around so the player has to run all the way through the caves, beeing annoyed by annoying enemies and so on.... Dear developers, WHY are you doing this? Do you think gamers "enjoy" it this way, so you have to spent almost three hours on this final idiot for NO REASON! I even had to cheese this ****, because if you even bothered to come close to it you'll get your ass kicked and die within a few seconds. The rest of the bosses where nearly a joke, as I could beat them mostly the first time. So what and why?! Also, the game runs on horrible 30 fps and the developers couldn't be bothered to just update the game on a ps5 running easily 60 fps with a little time of their precious company. But nobody cares and that's a shame, as the game itself is pretty well made and looks gorgeous on many (!) locations. So, I'm glad I'm through and I certainly won't torture myself with a new "Children of Sissna" Option, where you have half health and half stamina but the same game otherwise. Why are people doing this and what's the point?I recommend it ONLY on PC, as it runs on at least 60 fps and you don't get eye-cancer from stuttering images on this 30 fps PS4 Downgrade. I still can't understand why developer do not patch their years-in-development games to run smooth on actual Consoles as it takes only a few little tweaks and it makes the game so much better. Anyhow, that's how it is, sadly an average game, at least on Console....

Unfortunately and even a maybe good attempt, this game is constantly annoying up to a degree, I just couldn't handle it anymore! It's basically a mixed up copy of Sekiro, Bloodborne and DarkSouls in ANY aspect. You get reminded in ANY location and ANY aspect of the game about something you've allready seen or encountered in the original games. Millions of confusing buffs, items, mechanics to improve your "performance" but actually do s*#t to make you really better. If you can't defeat the boss by learning it's moves and parry them, all of those extras will NOT help you in any way. Most enemies will take 1/2 of your health away with one hit and quite often, they are "unstopable" and hit you a couple of times.... oh man! I can't recommend it, as it's just not enjoyable and when I did put down a big boss, I couldn't really be happy as I was still totally frustrated from all those failed attempts before. It's just too much of everything around the combat but not enough about the core mechanics. Enemies in the field are nothing but a joke, but the mini-bosses and the big bosses on the other hand are too hard and frustrating! Oh and of course those even more frustrating bosses you have to fight TWICE, of course without a chance of refreshing your lifesupport in any way. No, you will and need to be f#*ked, so it's a soulslike game, right!? And let me tell you: if you don't master how to parry perfectly, you will have no chance later in the game. The enemies are just pain in the ass and bother you permanently and somehow it's not fun at all. Level-Design is bold, uninspired and the world looks and is build like a "Videogame-Level" and makes mostly no sense at all. It feels artifical, like an AI made this game and some developer added a few extras. Well, I finally crashed my controler out of rage (hasn't happen in a long time) and that's enough for me, I'm done with this game, I rather stick to FromSoftware!

Unfortunately another Dark Souls Clone without having any spirit of the original Game. And it doesn't matter if you like Anime or not. We've got 1:1 all the mechanics of the DS Series, like Bonfires, Leveling-System, Weapon-Upgrades, etc. which is not a bad thing at all. Actually everything that was copied from the Master works good and without flaws... BUT the levels itself are truly AWFUL to look at AND to play. It's always an extremely narrow lane, tiny areas, Graphics from PS3-Area and the way they are build are just nonsense! It all fells like a big surreal picture without any references to how a world actually would exist. Beside those non-existing worlds, we've got stupid cities, deserts and a government building that's just so artificial nonsense, it reminds me of the games in the 90s, where Level-Design just had nothing to do with any sort of real worlds. How would anybody design and build a building like this?! Anyway, the mechanics and combat is okay, nothing special though and it saves the Game from beeing a total disaster. But still, it's so average in every way that I was just relieved when the final Boss hit the ground. And don't bother with buying the Add-On! It's basically recycled Bosses, tiny areas and a complete waste of time.

Fantastic Game - but needs time to unfold! I loved the first game and played everything including all DLCs. The 2nd game isn't actually the same as before and it took me a while to adjust to the new engine and the way it felt while running and climbing around. But after one or two hours, I got into the flow and man, now, after one year of releasing the game, it's almost perfect in my opinion! There's so much to do, side missions, collectibles and a long story I actually was interested in. Even after 15 hours in the game, there is still new stuff showing up to use, new elements and even two kinda "side stories" where you go and hunt stuff and get nice gear in exchange. The map itself could be larger, but I never had the feeling being limited by its size, on the other side EVERY district looks different and especially when you've reached the center of the city and climb those giant sky ****, THIS is absolutely great! I don't know why some people dislike or even hate this game. It's like DL1 but much better, IF you just take the time to get used to the 'new' way of gameplay. And Techland really takes care of their games and like the first part, DL2 runs perfectly, no crashes at all or hickups, it never gets boring, always something to do, encounters, day/night cycle and so on. If there are complaints, it would be the sky, somehow, feels complete static, there are clouds, but not moving at all, which somehow kills the atmosphere when you pay attention (think of GTA or Red Dead Redemption 2 and the fantastic weather/sky). It does change though, but it doesn't feel natural at all WHEN you pay attention, because most of the time you're busy doing all kind of things and not watching the sky... ;) So, if you liked the first game OR you are in 1st person climbing games like Mirrors Edge, love to hack on Zombies, this is definitely for you. Just give it time to unfold and get used to the gameplay!

Too bad, oh no... what happened?! Even after a year of launch, it still is in kinda Beta-State, so sorry! This should have NOT been released in such a poor state, not on any platform. The idea, art-style, exploration and gameplay are superb, considering this still is an independent game of a very small studio. However, even the graphics are super-simple, the CONSTANT changing, stuttering and sometimes too low framerate is horrible. Clipping errors, popup-textures and a complete broken fishing-minigame that should be removed as it's not working properly at all. Sometimes and it works, to 'repair' the stuttering framerate, just quit and reload the game. It will run smoother for some time... Seriously, this shouldn't be up for sale and Sony should remove it from the store! Again, I'm realy sorry for the people who made it, I can see the effort taken to make something very special and unique. What it would be if all the technical flaws wouldn't be there. I hope, but don't think it will ever happen, that one day this could be the game it should be...

As usual, check on a review of WHAT a game actually is, THEN buy it. If you don't, don't complain about something that's not tailored to your pesonal taste or matches your 'excpectations' of what exactly?! Scorn is a marvelous art-game, perfectly executed and exactly what it wanted to be! For me, as a H.R. Giger enthusiast, I couldn't get enough of this dark, horrible and fantastic world. It's like the world of this artist came to life, an endless picture to walk through and be astonished by all these eerie things I see. Allot of gamers are just way too mainstream, with no sense of art in any way. Fifa X, CoD X, Ubisoft X, ShootLootLevel, RunGun No. X all the same, all the time. And then there are Indi-Diamonds like Scorn, yes. Don't waste your time if you don't understand those kind of things - nobody's sad about it, play XY No. X forever. A new peak in greed and disgrace - Sony, you are a real c*nt! Straight after release, you completely change the way of how you earn credits, prices of cars and of course 'introduce' micro-transactions that are everything but micro! You seriously **** your customers right up their **ses doing so, while still enjoying all the good ratings from those testers, who had no clue about what you actually had in mind AFTER you released the game and cheated on them too. Not even mentioned this game is not playable offline - and of course your servers are down since days, probably some hackers who had enough of you spiting people in their faces... So, the game at full priced 69€ or even 79€ comes with gear, that's almost impossible to get because of explicitly adjusted enormous grinding time! You should join with EA, those **** are just the same **** you've become right now. Ths is for me the end Sony - I'll get rid of my PS and switch to PC - enough is enough! Ignore those bad ratings, it's all the same whimpering mob it's always been... they can't take challenges, can't take failure, disappointments, being lost or other "unjoyments" and mock around about everything they can find, just to ignore the most important part: THEY ****! ;) This is the greatest adventure with REAL emotions I've ever played so far. It's gigantic and you will find the best of Dark Souls, Demon Souls, Bloodborne AND an living open world combined. If you seek out a true adventure, with all it's ups and downs you'll love it. If you wanna indulge your lack of perseverance or just be a constant loosing winner, go play Assassin's Creed, Far Cry or anything alike. You will NOT earn a place at the table of Soul-Seekers.....

If anyone writes "this is the best rpg ever" and so on, it probably was their first rpg or even worse, their first game ever... it certainly is NOT the best! Maybe average and considering the studio and manpower behind it, clearly understandable. Since I've played Technomancer on PS4 from the same developer and even played the "enhanced" Greedfall on a PS5 with the upgraded Version, I stopped playing this game around 10 hours as EVERYTHING felt like Technomancer, but within a different setting. I am sorry to say that everything just feels like 50% of what an Dragon Age or "bigger" productions deliver. Graphics, Gameplay, RPG-Elements, feeling of the world, etc. It's not a bad game, it's unfortunately just a boring game as everything becomes so fast repetitive that it's just not interesting or fun in any aspect - it wants to be somehow a great game and tries to resemble the big players allot, but it doesn't reach. It's clunky, feels like an early PC-RPG and this island is fractured in thousands of tiny areas that of course have loading screens and everywhere traveling points you have to use if you want to leave that area. I'm not a fan of Greedfall and I won't continue playing - maybe if I hadn't finished Technomancer till the end. Sorry spiders, I was really looking forward to this title as Indi-Developer usually do things different then the mainstreamers - unfortunately, you tried to be mainstream and lost all the charm Greedfall might have gotten.

Metro always feels (and felt) like 10 years behind the actual state of play when it comes to FPS. Both, in how the story is told and in technical ways. It's so old-fashioned in any way, I just couldn't continue playing, as I didn't enjoy any of this retro-style attempt to entertain the player. Now, in this Metro, basically nothing is Metro any more and you hang out in some kind of separate mini-open world ares, where you can 'enjoy' bad graphics, idiot enemies and the same stupid-boring collect this/that, side-story activities Ubisoft delights us more then once a year. Everything executed with an old-bulky rusted engine - meh! I can't see how people enjoy this - maybe it's the same way people also enjoy trash-movies or love to waste their time with hours and hours of stupid TV-Shows that never reach any point of anything...

As a person from the 80s and having played allot of games, starting with C64 and Amiga, I certainly enjoyed this journey back in time. It reminded me allot of those pixel side-scroller kinda bulky games, not perfect but very charming. Development is not a couple of 100 people but a handful of talented geeks ... perfect! So, Dex is VERY charming, has a good story, customization of character and playstyle and a wonderful atmosphere while playing. Of course it's an Indi-Game and the size ain't big with tons of explosions, but who cares. I'm sure not everybody likes it, but this happens with all things that have a special personal touch to it and the game itself runs flawless, without any crashes...! So, go and watch some Videos about Dex and decide by yourself - what you see is what you get, with all the retro-magic in modern times. I hope I will see Dex again in a second journey. ;)

Remnant: From the Ashes - Swamps of Corsus6
Sep 4, 2020
Remnant is a good game ... on PC ... unfortunately not so good on a PS4 (Pro). The idea of how it's constructed reminds me of a crazed mixture of Diablo and Dark Souls with any sort of 3rd person shooter. It's interesting, especially the way of coop playing and the random generation of the worlds. I enjoyed discovering HOW the game works from a technical point of view but wouldn't recommend it to any casual PS4-Player who'd like to have a fluent and sparkling game experience. Too bad, it's bulky, heavy, stubborn and most of my challenges resulted through horrible framerates and ignored inputs while battling the bosses. Loading times are extremely and be aware it will stutter many times when encountering new boss phases, areas or something alike. The PS4 (Pro) just always feels way to small to make this bold engine work smooth and enjoyable. I felt pretty "relieved" when the credit rolled and even there are other game options to try out, like Survive- or Adventure-Mode, i'm somehow done with it, enough. The permanent changing framerate (mostly below 30 fps) gave me more then once headaches. So, if you're interested in this game and you've got a good performing pc, use this as the platform and not the PS4. Can't imagine how it will run on a normal PS4, probably almost unplayable. By the way, all the screenshots you'll see at the PSN-Store are from the PC! It never ever looked like those pictures, probably 4K-Quality SuperHigh-Setting.

Valfaris10
Jun 21, 2020
Hail to the King! Yes, it is difficult, yes it is frustrating and yes some people just can't beat it and therefore want to punish it with bad ratings - i fully understand! But in the end it is Valfaris, a beautiful straight forward 2D-Pixel Art Game with tons of bosses, levels and very great style. I don't even like Metal Music but i did in this weird 'little' game. Of course it could have been easier and allot of levels can only be mastered by repeating them a bit too often. On the other hand, if you can memorize everything the first time, especially Boss movements, you'd probably get through much easier. I didn't, i died allot, i was yelling and crashed parts of my sofa (poor thing) and wished all of the people involved in this game to hell for all eternity! Yeah, i'm pretty wasted by this game and suffered somehow but went through till the end and then: HEAVY METAL Mode, from the beginning - even harder! Thought i would get through faster, as I know things now, but not really. Everything is a bit more harder, few more enemies and bosses have some extra pain i-t-a things to offer you. So i had to study them way better and exploit their bloody weaknesses in the end - every victory felt GREAT! After finishing the second run (especially the last a-hole boss) the developer compliments the gamer and congratulates him/her for mastering this second run through in hard-mode. The game runs perfectly, no crashes, absolute accurate fights and superb designed levels with allot of different graphics to show. Did i mention, there are ALLOT of bosses? And not all of them are difficult by the way. Music is always full on and supports the shooting and slashing perfectly. Allot of weapons (i basically used only the same) to level up and hey, nothing to loose if you die. So, be warned, Valfaris is not a casual Jump & Runer with fast progression and a constant flow. There is allot of repeating but you will get better and finally win! Hilarious story within a twisted heavy metal space opera, that makes no sense at all but banging your head to the god of metal. I hope there will be another one, as the ending is an ending, but would just continue to the next adventure in this universe...

The most astonishing fact about this game, is that it was made by one person (beside the music). And the most disappointing fact are the graphics, which could be from the midst 90s. If not played in VR-Mode, I couldn't recommend it at all, as on a flat 2D-Screen there is actually no reason to play this. Even in VR-Mode, the immersion lacks quite often as the absence of details and bold, blurry visuals ruin everything. Unfortunately, really, what the maker tries to build up is awesome, sound/music is great, but it's just like a raw version of what this should have become and in the end I really had to force myself to finish it. I can only recommend to wait when it's on sale - as a tryout, it's certainly overpriced for what it delivers at the moment.

One of those modern classics I still love to play! It reminded me instantly back to times where i was sitting on my C64 or Amiga, looking into a monochrome display, jumping and running around space stations to find a way out. Gameplay is awesome and (almost ;) flawless and I was actually surprised by the story and how it was presented. Everything else you can see on YouTube - I can recommend this title and hope for Ghost 2.0 coming!

I do love those well crafted 'tiny' games with simple mechanics and well working upgrade structures up to the very end! And I've had more fun and entertainment with this little shooter compared to those newest Tomb Raider or other AAA-Games installments polished for a wide (dumb) audience. It runs flawless, perfectly tuned over and over again. If you like classic plane arcade shooter - you love this! ;)

The gameplay itself is absolute great and highly addictive but does not compensate the massive lack of variety itself. There are only 4 bosses to fight and even you've got tons of weapons and stuff to slowly unlock, it just doesn't evaluate the time you'll spend playing. My strongest complain is the final boss, as it's way to hard to beat compared to the levels you run through before the final fight. And I personally HATE it, when I manage to complete all stages and finally having an A-Hole 5 times harder then the rest of the game! So, you play around one or two hours, just enter this final idiot and get kicked back to the beginning within a few seconds. Dear developer! Do you really expect your players to invest at least one hour of doing all those levels again and again, just to get fckd up by a boss within seconds, not even able to learn all the moves this thing does?! I finally ended up killing the game just after I died, so I could enter this boss fight right after starting the game again. And it took me many many attempts to kick his ass - if I would add an extra hour to every attempt, dudes, you certainly should consider changing something in your design! This unbalanced boss-fight(s) and also some random encounters who will kill you in just a few seconds are totally frustrating and imagine a dark souls, where you have to start allover at the FIRST bonfire.... Maybe they'll add more content, and tweak some of the mechanics as well. For me, I'm done with the game as there's nothing left but browsing through the levels and being totally frustrated by the last boss - to complete the run! I did beat him twice, but it's just way too much time being wasted...

This game is a desaster! Don't bother to waste ANY of your money or time on it. Everything is in a state of Beta or even worse. It stutters regularly from time to time, the entire engine feels so bold and clonky, it's a nightmare to just look around. For the super-simple grafics, it doesn't even bother to run on 60 fps, no, you have to be bothered with 30 fps. The "combat" is a joke, even so the way you dash. If anyone mentioned this to be a dark souls kinda, it is not! Absolutely not! No wonder those days are rarely trial-versions availalbe... you'd exactly know what kinda crap you'd get! What in gods name was this supposed to be?! It's an unfinished, broken piece of s$%&!

Let Them Come7

And another flupsy port from PC which makes allot of fun, but again, as many other releases nowadays, has allot of bugfixing to do as well. It's a simple shooter and you'll get exactly that for what you paid. The game would be a nine but it's still not finished yet! If you haven't your PS4 online, the game bothers you EVERYTIME you die (and you die allot!) that some DNS-Server can't be found, appx. every 2 minutes. Next is a SO TYPICAL for a PC-Port, as when you have to press which button is quite often pretty inconsistent. In some menues, you press X to confirm, while in others you have to press SQUARE, actually before pressing X to confirm something else. It crashed on me at least one time and I had it at least once, that my configuration of special-ammo just was ignored and instead used basic ammo. I had to remove it and replace it again, than it works... So, all in all, the game is awesome in it's tiny special mad way, but poorely executed in terms of portation to the PS4. If it would be a product, bought from any supermarket, I just would return it as UNFINISHED! This is pretty sad so to say...

Sundered7

Sundered is a pretty and nice to look at game, but even in Version 1.08, it still suffers from stupid technical issues that really can kill the fun... So I won't tell you what others did before, but certainly point out what the developers should have fixed BEFORE releasing the game. There are bothering micro freezes in every minute I played and if you've got a PS4 PRO, you have to untick the Boost-Mode! Having the Boost-Mode activated, results in micro-freezes every 5 to 10 seconds and makes it unplayable - what a joke! Several crashes and more than once stuck while loading gave me a sour feeling about the entire state of the game. If there are too many objects on screen, the framerate also drops badly and once, I had some strange super-stutter going on and I had to kill the game by myself. For a 2D Platformer and considering a PS4 machine, loading times are also way too long and appear too often as well. WHY is this game in such a horrible technical state?! And why giving it a 7? It actually deserved an 8 if it would be finished and playable without technical flaws. The style and mechanics are perfect, grinding, dying, leveling up, very motivating and satisfying. I didn't like the ending, as it basically does not exist. And, sorry to moan again, beside some Mini-Bosses, there are only 4 (!) big Bosses and 2 eventually get missed (different ending), depending on how you play. And I certainly didn't want to play it 3 times, even I liked it allot...

I played more then 10 hours and couldn't finish the game once! This bothers me pretty much and I feel frustrated as I really hate the unfairness of the game play. Almost everything is randomly generated and depends on your luck on the dice. The dice, however seem to have their own rules of 'randomness' and so many times, it's just ONE number missing to repair a module, which then, of course, ends your journey again. I don't understand how the developers made it so difficult and frustrating to get through. Even you are a good strategic and know how everything works, if you got the wrong numbers, you've got no chance at all! So, all this leaves a biter taste in my experience and if there's one thing I realy hate: Spending time in something, that gives you in return constant frustration! And I couldn't finish the game once... thank you very much!

Nice attempt to randomly generated levels, but unfortunately gets boring pretty fast as you ALWAYS speed through (more or less) the same level with great lack of variety. Upgrading is done well, gameplay without any flaws, but ... just gets way too boring way to fast. Then, almost ALWAYS with randomly (or procedurally) created stuff, it always gets unbalanced to an annoying state of frustration. The other ting is the difficulty. I personally HATE games, that presents bosses with almost three times higher difficulty as the actual level is. So, I got stuck on a boss, which just **** me up, just because his random attacks are so stupid and unfair at times, I can't dodge them and die, die, die. This is pretty frustrating and I'm certainly don't indulge this little game as I did with Dark Souls, as it just doesn't pay off the time I put into it. In the end, pretty disappointing!

The Final Station6
Jan 27, 2017
The Final Station is a typical first PC, then Console-Port and did not get much attention from it's developers afterwards. It lacks horrible microscopic writings/letters in general and the mini-crafting of health packages or amo always drove me made, as the highlighting of positions where you actually are in the menue is so idiotic minimalistic, that I often ended up choosing the wrong option! Minimalistic is the word for the game, as the gameplay pretty soon gets very repetitive and even I really liked the pixel art style, it is just not enough flesh to keep it interesting - the music as well. Rarely there is some sound or background music, although when it comes in, it's pretty good! So I went through way too many 'stations', doing always the same while the story tries to unfold. Unfortunately your passengers on the train talk allot regarding story, but you won't be able to follow as you have to do mini-games, craft stuff or read other messages simultaneously. So, in the end and as much as I Iike the game in general, it is not worth 15 $/€ but should be around 5 $/€. The developers should have pimped at least all text-related things to a readable size, but of course there are allot more of 'shoulds' not done and left this somehow nice game close to a train wreck on console in my opinion! If you get it discounted at 1/3 price, it's certainly worth a try or even playthrough.

Enter the Gungeon7

Great Game, but unfortunately very hard and even more unfortunate: VERY unbalanced procedural settings. I felt quite often, the game punishes me!? In the need of hearts, I got tons of keys for chests. Played perfectly, no damage at all, now I got hearts and couldn't even use one of them. Some rooms are so crazy filled with enemies, that avoiding getting hit is impossible, while others are just a joke in terms of challenge. The effort and frustration of repeating levels from the scratch, just to get deeper is tremendous, even so the unlocking of shortcuts! I found this unbalanced as well, all to hard and unfair sometimes in my opinion. I do love the gameplay, the need graphics and style and the entire setting, but couldn't even finishing the game because of the difficulty level and/or issues mentioned above. So, 1 point less for bad random generation, 1 less for extremely high difficulty and another 1 less, because I just couldn't finish the game. And of course last is a bit unfair, but it's my personal opinion, so indulge, because I'm frustrated, getting my ass kicked by a game... ;)

Awesome old school shooter, that kept me playing and motivating way longer then most of those AAA-Titles nowadays. Everything is very simple and effective and to levelUp your ship is just fun. Whatever you do, if you make the level or die somewhere, you'll get your collected stars anyway and flushes away the frustration of failing (again ;). I love it! When I was in my young ages, I spent hours in bars in front of machines with games like "Sky Force", so I have my blast again. If you like simple shooters, slow and controlled actions... go for it!!!
