Love the 2 leads, rest of the cast are forgettable. Interesting twist with them both trying to win their exes back. Worth a watch.

Charlie Day is funny but lacked his no holds barred approach to comedy and the chemistry was a bit off.

I Want You Back is an underrated romantic comedy with humorous aspects that may make people chuckle and a love representation that can be absorbing.

I really like Charlie Day, but the movie plot was very basic and the comedy was not that funny written mostly.

I Want You Back is just a pleasant surprise, the movie is entertaining, the movie is funny, the movie was romantic, the movie was emotional, and the movie is even a musical, they have all of that and it works perfectly for me, I Want You Back is also fills with a very good entertaining performance by all the cast especially Jenny Slate and Charlie Day, their chemistry was just great, a few thing that makes I Want You Back not perfect is there is some particular character that i don't find neccessary, like Jenny's couples roomate, i really did not like them at all, and probably a couple or three scene and that's about it, what happen mostly in the film was just good, overall I Want You Back is surprisingly a very good movie and it's simply one of the most entertaining films of the year.

A fun rom com that doesn't drag and features likable leads, definite watch if a fan of the genre. Some plot points needed some better resolutions but it seems they wanted to keep the story and scope very tight.

(Mauro Lanari)
"Do not overestimate us adults, since as one gets older does not become more mature nor does increase the ability to understand oneself, others, in short, existence, which remains an unpredictable unknown": a concept expressed several times in the dialogues and transformed into the specific audiovisual code of cinema exclusively in the last scene. Opportunity thrown to the wind that condemns the film to oblivion.

I want you back A romantic movie that on the surface has a very predictable ending, but it takes a meandering, entertaining and fulfilling path to reach the end. The writing is sharp and finely portrayed by the cast. An Outstanding Reinvention for the romcom genre!

Almost as soon as the movie starts, Charlie Day and Jenny Slate both lose their relationships. After they meet in misery, they make a pact to get help each other win back their sweethearts by undermining their new relationships. An interesting angle that follows the typical path. Since it's pretty predictable, the actors and script need to add anything new. Some wacky supporting characters would have added some spice, but there aren't any (Manny Jacinto is growing into his sensitive hunk presence). The writing isn't ever clever, just lots of talk without any much **** actors do just fine. It's sufficiently sweet, but doesn't rise above genre typical.

Way better than its actual 6/10 !
Didn't had such a good time watching a romcom since When Harry met Sally.
Not a masterpiece, but deserves a 9/10 in my opinion.

I really wanted this to work to get some genuine laughs, but from the start, as is usually the case with pretty much 99% of all films in this genre, the plot trajectory is already established, so one is left to hope that at least the concept will be funny, and with Charlie Day and Jenny Slate at the helm I really expected this to be more humorous. However, I Want You Back fails to shake up the formula and everything fizzles out, step by step, when nothing changes the pace of the plot, so it obviously goes nowhere, which I really didn't expect to be any different from that beginning.
