Heart of stone feels like it's got a lot of potential but didn't justify it's worth overall. The movie feels like a half blooming flower waiting to reveal it's full potential. I have kind of liked the acting of Gal Gatod. Alia bhatt feels natural but a soft hearted character. The story, direction, screenplay & dialogues are above average. If you like spy thriller movies you can give it a try.

Heart of Stone is predictably Netflix and a little trite, but, surprisingly, full of heart. Helmed by the surprising and capable fit of Gal Gadot as Rachel Stone, viewers are treated to an incredibly fun spy thriller. Admittedly, everything is just above average and the runtime could use some trimming. Still, I can't deny that as the film came to a close with a satisfying and bombastic finale, I found myself smiling having enjoyed the soaring soundtrack and unexpected twists. If you have time to kill, some nummy snacks, and are looking for a kickass couple of hours, you could do much worse than Heart of Stone.

Heart of Stone is a spy thriller that tries to emulate the success of franchises like Mission Impossible or Fast and Furious, but falls short in every aspect. The story is dull and predictable, the characters are bland and forgettable, and the dialogue is clichéd and uninspired. The action scenes are decent, but nothing we haven't seen before in better movies. Heart of Stone is a film that you can easily skip, or watch once and forget about it.

For me the action was quite good so I am rating more based on that as it is action movie, but the story could have been more interesting instead of this one quite predictable.

(Mauro Lanari) After "Wonder Woman", Miss Israel 2004 intends to carve out a place between 007 and Ethan Hunt, the role of heroine in action movies, the female and feminist super secret agent. Probably her career as a model forces her to use stunt doubles, otherwise she would have the athletic and military training to imitate Cruise, while so she resorts to Reeves' tricks in the "John Wick" saga: long hair or helmet to hide her face. To me, it didn't seem like a better or worse product than the other male franchises: it conforms to their average standard. PS: the "Eye of God" has already been used as a planetary bogeyman in "Fast & Furious 7" (Wan 2015), the comparison between AI and the human quid was already at the center of "I, Robot" (Proyas 2004), and the graphic rendering of "The Heart" recovers the imaginary Precrime/precog device of "Minority Report" (Spielberg 2002), where the protagonist was Cruise again. The world of Hollywood screenwriters is quite small.

Watching Gal Gadot was beautiful, yet the story wasn't that beautiful. Firstly, the story is very complicated. The infiltration story is way out of proportion. Everyone fools everyone. Save the world, okay, but please make it simpler.

While some big studios try to genderbend and race swapalready existing popular IPs and characters like JamesBond into a black women, there are some who are actually brave enough to create their own fresh new characters in a female lead This movie was a pleasant surprise. I don't have any good or bad opinions about Gal Gadot, but she did a good job in this movie, and while this isn't some kind of mindblowing spy movie with a surprising as hell plot, it is action packed and entertaining as hell. And what other do we need from an action movie? My time was well spent.

IN A NUTSHELL: The story is about an intelligence operative for a shadowy global peacekeeping agency who races to stop a hacker from stealing its most valuable and dangerous weapon. The film was directed by Tom Harper who is a BAFTA-nominated British film and TV director, writer, and producer. Writing credits go to Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder. THINGS I LIKED: Gal Gadot. Am I right? She’s gorgeous, talented, and fierce in this role. It’s hard not to see her as Wonder Woman though. Glenn Close! Fun reveal! No spoilers. Everyone in the cast did a fantastic job and includes Jamie Dornan, Alia Bhatt, Sophie Okonedo, Matthias Schweighofer, Jing Lusi, and Paul Ready. The tech shown in the film is ridiculously cool. It makes that Tom Cruise movie look like child’s play. Great opening song and rolling credits introduction. We get to travel around the gorgeous world. I always love that. The beautiful cinematography is by George Steel. Twists and more twists. I love twists. Poppin soundtrack. I love movie titles with multiple meanings. Gal Gadot’s character’s last name is Stone and we definitely see her heart in this film. Heart is also the name of an AI system that several groups are trying to take possession of because it will give them the greatest power in the world. If you enjoy this, you’ll be happy to know that the ending absolutely leaves an opening for a sequel. THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE: Like all movies these days, all of the heroes are women. The men are either the villains or not as cool or competent as the women. There are a lot of exciting action sequences, but they’re pretty formulaic. So many film critics are hating on this movie, but I thought it was a fun diversion. They’re so hard to please sometimes. While the simplistic set designs aren’t particularly memorable, they do set the tone in each scene. TIPS FOR PARENTS: Extremely high dead body count. Various weapons Tons of violence and fighting

If this is what human writers can concoct we might be better off with a.i. generated scripts.

Heart of Stone This Gal Gadot-led thriller is styled as a James Bond-type action as it cascades from location to location. Gal Gadot isn't one of the best dramatic actresses, but this is one of her best on-screen acting (her character and acting improve as the movie proceeds). The supporting cast also delivers standard performances. Heart of Stone is cliché and filled with tropes, but it's entertaining. The storyline isn't grand or fresh, but it is easy to follow, it also avoids being drab by how the action sequences, piling locations, plot twists and callbacks are expertly brought in. It's quite possible that Gal Gadot has found herself a new franchise to spearhead. 7.5/10

Great movie. Lots of twists. Gal gadot is as always a pleasure and this I k vue has the makings of a new franchise.

Gal Gadot plays an intelligence operative who's tasked with saving the world from yet another hi-tech weapon. She's working hard to make a stand in the action arena. As she seems to runs continuously, there are some dazzling stunts and narrow escapes. The plot and dialogue are average, so it's up to the characters and action to give it umph. Gadot has the swagger to pull this off and Jamie Dornan adds his appeal to the mix. While this attempt at a new spy franchise makes an adequate impression, it lacks sufficient originality or dazzle to make it stand out.

It's a low-budget mission impossible that's it. The action is not that bad, but not good either, the effects are bad, the plot is all over the place, there are some bad actors and acting, etc. I don't know why it's Gadot here.

Heart of Stone is allegedly a starter of a new spy thriller franchise, although opinions about this movie vary I personally enjoyed it and would very much like to see the next part.

Bland and every aspect of the 'hacking' is poorly done. The acting is shotty and i can only blame the poor script and random uninspired love interests

This is a C-tier film, which is probably what you get for Netflix, but it's actually okay considering all the cliches, and has a good moral to the story even if the opening is hypocritical. One huge mistake, there are no rear sights on the M4 platform weapons, making it impossible to actually provide accurate fire with them. You would expect Gal Gadot to provide input in these scenes because that is unacceptable.

This one surprised me. If you go into it not expecting much, you get a great experience. If you like movies like Mission impossible, bourne identity etc, these give the feels of what this movie is. Movies in the late 90s - early 2000s had a more realistic vibe and tech to them which made them more believable but as of late, alot of movies, action especially have scenes that are hokey in parts. This is definitely one of them in certain action scenes but overall, I thought there was a great plot. Political and philosophical thoughts are prevalent after viewing, and the filming locations/setting, which were probably my favorite here, are spot on. Plot was also really good for a weekend action flick. I was truly suprised. Gado is a beauty and as a man who takes a huge liking to her, my 8.5 gets bumped to a 9. Definitely a worth while watch if you like elements of revenge, adventute, coverups and political interpretations.

Bad poker game Well, we've got big explosions, double agents, Gal Gadot as the rookie one with hidden capabilities and a tech nerd behind her, the villain with the accent and a couple of evil pawns within his hands, a highly dangerous weapon in the middle of it all, and yeah, it's starting to feel familiar, right? It seems like the recipe for an action-packed flick with a repetitive, superficial **** production, big places, but the same empty story with a hint of rough action. exaggerated ass-kicking from Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) accompanied by good chemistry between her and Jamie DornanIt takes us to a plot we already know is going to be honest. Mid-action cheesy lines and laughter weren't at their best, with the dialogue being straight-forward and simple, and a good soundtrack blowing up most of the movie to hype everything up. It seems like Netflix won't drop this formula for now, and if you aren't full of it yet,Go for the watch that you'll enjoy for the cast and good camerawork, but not anything else, I think.

Absolutely atrocious. Laughably juvenile script, vapid and disposable characters, convoluted direction and egregious acting. Your-run-of-the-mill Netflix original.

In the painful reality in which we are waking up, Heart of Stone emerges as a film that embodies the essence and structure reminiscent of content meticulously crafted by an algorithm, seemingly designed to pave the way for a franchise. But why do I say this was written by an algorithm? Because the film overall looks and feels like a methodically orchestrated combination of superior films and, as a result, the ensuing work is completely lacking in both originality and true emotion and tension. It is replete with stereotypical characters and the ensemble sails along in a style and tone that is completely locked in, very uninspired and passionless. This certainly isn't Mission Impossible and Gal Gadot as sure as hell it ain't Tom Cruise. Another action dud from Netflix being sold as a big blockbuster and for streaming parameters that's enough.

You know that movie where you know what's going to happen from the beginning? This is that movie. It's a good movie that goes well in the first half with a big plot twist, but in the second half it goes downhill turning into a typical netflix generic movie, a good potential, but that doesn't go into depth at all. It had great potential but it doesn't take advantage of it, it's average, watch it if you want to spend some time.

this movie is ludicrously boring. the story is meaningless, the visuals are lame, the action sequences are boring too. they even made AI do one of the visuals because they couldn't spare an iota of effort into making this movie interesting

Just to get this out of the way. I review films on the media that it was made for. So a theatrical film may be rated differently as a streaming movie. We can see that Neflix has been at this big scale, straight to to DVD action film for ages and somehow has perfected its formula. It's essentially like going to a restaurant that sells a cheeseburger, the most 'generic' type of food out there but doing it so well that they literally made it better than everyone else in the business. This is what Netflix does. Bigger companies such as Disney that followed this formula end up losing so much money that they will probably lease their content back to Netflix in the future. Getting that out of the way, Heart of Stone is literally a movie that was made by an algorithm, which churned out a mix between Bond, MI, Fast and Furious and all other spy movies as of late, mixed in with Gal Gadot, who is literally a 'female Arnold Schwarzenegger', a charismatic 'performer' who are very adept physically. What you get is this movie and the thing is..I dig it. There is a 'twist' to the whole concept that I liked (where the heroine has a 'dual identity'). The action set pieces are well made and choreographed, and obviously, this is meant as a franchise starter for the streaming giant.

Truly lit and framed like ass. Gadot is just not capable of the role here, lacking the necessary charisma. I don't want to pin too much on her though because this was unsalvageable trash.
