Mostly everyone casts this movie aside until I force them to watch it and than they love it. Jerry Bruckheimer tried to recapture flashdance success and besides making a much better film it also was a hit at the box office. The story is familiar as a small town girl from Sayreville, NJ heads to the big apple in hopes of selling her music. Unsuccessful she picks up at a wild bar called Coyote Ugly where the girls are rough, dance on bars and are master bartenders. She also meets a hunky Australian beau. The movie isn't complex but it is emotionally resonant and overly entertaining. So if you're feeling down it's definitely a pick me up. A young Piper Perabo (Covert Affairs), Bridget Moynahan (The Recruit), Maria Bello (Assault on precinct 13), Adam Garcia (Riding in Cars with boys), John Goodman (10 Cloverfield Lane), Izabella Miko (Step up all in), Melanie Lynskey (Heavenly Creatures) and Tyra Banks (Higher Learning) star. Yes, the film is cheesy, yes, the film is predictable and finally, yes, the movie is ****, it was still an honest entertainment and the acting was surprisingly **** was not a good movie ,but it was not a bad one either.

O filme é interessante... e cliché, mas, ainda assim, algumas lições podem ser retiradas. Vale a pena perder uma horinha e um pouco mais a ver este filme, mas não comprem o filme, porque "Coyote Ugly" não é o melhor filme de 2000.

It's an odd **** try to be 2 movie in one, so it fails at both. When It tries to be a romantic comedy for "**** does It using every outdated stereotype of that genre and bad writings (Young singer that try to live in a big city but end up working a modest job, some crazy but honest besties and an handsome-and-a-little-mischief-but-honest-guy). When It tries to be a movie for boys it also use oversimplified image and **** it fill the screen with beautiful girl that dance, act "wild" and drinks lots of booze.
It is not sexy, it is not funny, it is not romantic, it is not **** just tries to capitalize on an old article from a fashion magazine.. Avoid It like plague.

This movie's only redeemable quality was a theme song by Leann Rimes that has since become a guilty pleasure of mine. Otherwise, this movie is a steaming pile of dog **** and a terrible romantic comedy.
