Take a couple of dumb episodes and string them into a movie and this is what you get.

Even when the series was brand new, when I was just an impressionable young teenager with raging hormones and an affinity for toilet humor (in other words, precisely the show’s target audience), I never cared all that much for the animated portions of Beavis and Butt-Head. To my eye, those were the filler and the sardonic music video takedowns were the main attraction. It was a pleasant surprise when their first feature, the all-animated Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, proved to be a thoroughly consistent swan song as the series transitioned into syndication and I entered adulthood. Now, a quarter-century later, the titular duo is back to try it again, claiming their seats on the couch and reprising their old roles as self-amused spokesmen of the ADD generation. To be concise, this is an utterly idiotic premise, and I’d expect no less. The boys are somehow shipped off to Space Camp, somehow fall into a black hole, somehow materialize in the year 2022 and immediately spit a sarcastic commentary on all the things that have changed in society since Bill Clinton was still in his first term. There’s some ripe comedy to be had, barbs for everything from Siri to white privilege, but the underlying story feels too loose and single-note. Condensed to thirty or forty minutes, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe would be a laugh riot, but it’s excessive and drawn-out at twice the length. Their original adventure earned that extra time, loyally weaving the simple pleasures of the small screen into a greater narrative, and this reboot is awfully scant by comparison. Which is a shame, because the good bits are dynamite. I especially loved the futuristic “smart” B&B, who grow increasingly desperate as their time-displaced counterparts show absolutely no interest in righting the wrongs of the multiverse. Their appearances are few and far between, however, and the genuinely hilarious (or even amusing) bits are equally scarce. Where the first feature felt like an organic step forward, a natural progression that both characters and creator were ready to embrace, the chuckling chuckleheads’ oft-delayed sequel is more like an egg that needed more time in the pot: shallow, undercooked and runny.

The fate of the Universe depends on two rockers, hedonists, who together barely make up 25% of a brain. Could there be something worse? I only know the nineties characters by hearsay but what is certain is that the recipe is the usual one, enough to satisfy the unconditional.

Really funny movie, a great Sequel to "Do America" take old school humour and mixes it into modern situations for a great time!

I was never a big fan of 'Beavis and Butt-Head;' nevertheless, this new adventure is hilarious and on point. The framing device is simple but effective, putting our heroes in the funniest situations when they get suddenly transported to our time. Also, Mike Judge, the creator, manages to insert smart commentary about white privilege, the incarceration system in the U.S., and the government's cluelessness in so many areas. What I appreciate the most about this film is the fact that you don't have to be a Beavis and Butthead hardcore fan to appreciate it. Looking forward now to the new series!

Movie is great, I only wish there was more good metal music in movie because Beavis and Butt-head are metal-heads. Anyway I laughed through the whole movie, I just love Beavis and Butt-Head, the might be morons and stupid, but they are still better persons than all other "smart" characters... And finally: "I am cornholio!!! I need TP for my bunghole!!!!

The first movie was funny, this one is not. Why not make it absolutely filthy now that it is on Paramount+ instead it is the same joke about scoring over, and over again. None of the old characters make appearances (Daria, Hippy Teacher, Old Principal, Old Neighbor Guy, Blonde Kid With Winger shirt). The movie just seemed really half hearted, and it will be the only time I ever watch it.

In today's overly woke and sensitive world, we need a movie like this. For all its stupidity, it reminds us that its important and **** to have a good laugh. This film is simply hilarious and surprisingly witty in its social commentary.

Literally the greatest movie I have seen in the past 2 years. Beavis and Butt-head (Mike Judge) have(has) a way of calling out current culture trends in the most idiotic yet intellectual way(s). It's almost a free pass to laugh in the faces of those who take life so seriously. Those who are so quick to make assumptions, those who judge based on appearance. Those who assume that the majority of people think on the same intellectual level as them. Beavis and Butt-head take everything literally, not politically, and that's the freshest breath of air anyone could breathe in 2022.

This is just a hilarious throwback to a simpler time. I laughed nonstop throughout this movie, definitely a must see if you enjoyed the shows, the 96 movie, and king of the hill.

I have always loved Beavis and Butt-Head. There's something about their complete lack of situational awareness that just brings out the funniest happenings in the situations they end up taking part in. And of course, as always, the main quest is to "do it". The sexual innuendo is so mindbogglingly funny! It's so well done it even somehow plays a part in the plot this time around. Not just for B&B, but also for the surrounding characters who are oblivious to what is going on. It's almost as if two stories are being told at the same time. I love it! I also feel like B&B, despite their simple minds, have always been deeper characters than one might think. I really care for them. This movie is awesome!

The single one thing that a i needed from this movie was: still be the old and known Beavis & Butt-head, not some "modern audience" bllsht. And in that respect i'm pleased. The actual movie i think was ok, the first third being the best of the movie, and then loose traction to the end. So, it's just ok.

One of the funniest films I've seen in literal years. It's almost a shame this didn't come out in theaters. Nobody does it quite like Mike Judge. Heheh. I said "does it". Heheheheh.

Considering that Beavis and Butt-Head have never really changed their formula since they appeared in '92, you have to applaud that they still manage to keep their frankly hilarious idiocy intact. Even if over time their impact has degraded, but they are what they are, and unapologetically so. Take it or leave it. If you're a fan I'd find it hard to understand not liking this movie. I wasn't too excited about the new seasons, but this gave me hope.

It was okay. A lot of the lines felt forced towards the beginning but it got a lot better towards the end. The joking about white privilege as if it’s not a real thing was a turn off.

Not sure what I expected, but Mike Judge delivered. This was pure B&B fun I forgot I missed. The movie jumps right back into the world for a quick refresher; guess what, these two have never changed an iota. Then we're off on an adventure worthy of the universe. Good fun! Side Note: San Francisco Chronicle is no fun. They hate almost every movie (unless it's full of woke). Chronicle, fire your movie reviewers. They ****.

If you're a fan of Mike Judge (who also did the excellent King of the Hill) then you'll love this film. Ignore the critics, they are too far up their own behinds to enjoy good ol' fun of Bevis and Butt-Head.

Every so often a movie comes out that changes the paradigm of how we view the art form (i.e., godfather, schindler's list, felini's 8 1/2, etc). This is such a movie. Give the best picture oscar to Mike Judge now, the competition is over.

For all the beavis and butthead fans, you will laugh your bungholes off watching this movie! Solid story and goofy one-liners from our favorite role models. In this movie, Beavis and butthead do things that could get people arrested, expelled, or posibly deported. Dont try these things at home. Do yourself a favor and watch this gem!
