Very good. Really brings the Batman universe into a new light. I love how this sets up the 2nd movie, almost like one movie in itself. Back story foundation but still a Batman episode of fighting the bad guys. It’s really well made. Good acting. Believable. Oh and the score is perfect. So fun to listen to. I mean, Batman’s motif is just 2 notes but uses the expression of the brass to create this powerful effect. You know it’s Batman.

Batman Begins is my personal favorite of the Christopher Nolan Batman films, yes even over the Dark Knight. The film changed everything about Batman, DC, and superhero movies as a whole, but the Dark Knight usually gets that light. If you haven't seen this one already, please do!

Of course, a Batman movie is nothing without a Bruce Wayne, and, by a mile, Bale is the best of a lot that has ranged from the square-jawed slapstick of Adam West to the more dedbonair stylings of Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney.

Substituting the cartoony campness of its predecessors with gritty realism and a glossy (if souless) Gotham, Batman Begins gives us an incredibly convincing insight into the origins of one of the world’s greatest superheroes, complete with the moral contradictions that make Batman so fascinating.

Batman begins is not the superhero movie at all. Quite anomalous and deviated from the original Tim Burton 'Batman' style, Batman in Batman begins is the person, not a hero anymore.
