It's hard to over sell a movie that is so supremely confident in writing and direction. Despite an almost audience-annihilating run time of nearly two and a half-hours, it is consistently absorbing.

La claque Même si j'avais vu quelques bouts de scène et les mêmes du film, je ne savais pas à quoi m'attendre. Le film a mis des bases d'un film de gangster assez classique pour encore mieux nous prendre à contrepied. Le film se savoure pendant 2h30 sans nous laisser un moment de répit pour faire ce qu'il fait de mieux. La musique du film, c'est tellement des classiques que ça m'a fait plaisir de les entendre comme si j'étais nostalgique. Cela aide aussi à me faire aimer cette esthétique digne des années 90 qui est assez particulière. Le découpage assez particulier du film le rend encore plus particulier et c'est cette chose qui me fait regretter de ne pas avoir pu le voir en 94 au cinéma (ça et le fait que je n'étais pas né).

É ok. Não entendi o porquê esse filme é tão amado. Vi reviews que "explicaram", mas apenas foi uma prova que o filme é coerente, oque deveria ser o mínimo. Devo não ter entendido o filme, mas se o objetivo foi me fazer pensar sobre ele ou me marcar, falhou bastante. Me entreteu, mas não tenho motivos para ver de novo.

The most overrated flick i've seen so far. just a random movie with a boring and pointless plot and cheesy dialogue.
