It’s great gameplay made me feel like this is a complete version of 17 and 18 and it’s career mode is finally entertaining compared to before it and-commentators finally for the most part understand what they are saying in matches.

If 2K23 is an 82, then 19 deserves a rescoring. It's by no means groundbreaking and the lack of additions of things that were lost in these games years and years ago when the development changed hands is certainly a pitfall. Universe was good in concept but needed tweaking, variety and customization that 19 just doesn't provide. It lacks a few significant features compared to the aforementioned more modern and at this time current WWE game such as GM mode. But maintains a semi-familiar control scheme and gameplay style that kept it true to the series as well as keeping to WWE's (more specifically their games franchise) title as leader in a niche market. I mention controls and gameplay because it's the very core of what is wrong with 23. Though on base settings the counters can be horribly difficult at times it also has no shortage of sliders to fine tune the experience so you don't feel the obvious trend chase to turn 2k19 into Dark Souls. The counters really seemed imprecise, clumsy, sometimes never showing prompt, Timing was very difficult to attune oneself to with the sheer amount of different moves and each one having the counter at different times during the animation. In at least one case, I had a wrestler with a lower overall rating counter special and finisher at least 3 times each in a single match with barely any stamina or "HP" left. Though in real life it would have made a great spectacle of a match to watch Not Ideal, especially for a game where I wanted to Vince McMahon my entire Universe and control every aspect, and Easy difficulty is still ridiculously unforgiving. (yes I know I don't play on high difficulty especially in wrestling games, but ones ability to play a difficult game shouldn't alienate them from a product they've already purchased, and why I stand by my opinions that Dark Souls is horribly overrated purely because people think hard = good, which is only ever true when two consenting adults are naked together, I further assert that that opinion is entirely objective) Luckily 2K at least had the foresight to offer players an INSANE amount of difficulty and match setting sliders from momentum rate (the resource used for finishers etc.), though this may feel a bit lazy, adding balance sliders rather than balancing the game, it's nice to be able to use them. As far as I remember you could get very granular adjusting how often the AI will counter strikes, diving moves, grapples and even specials/finishers.

Bought it recently after the last one I played was WWE2k16 I guess. I really hated the submission mechanics and the poor graphics. I guess that is it for me with this series. Sad if I rethink my amazing times with the 2009 game.

Difficulty in a custom character campaign is ridiculous sometimes and the plot is boring. No way of importing music for entrance and lack of create custom finisher option still hurts, but at least other tools for custom creations are well done.

Overall I do really like this game, but the lack of depth in Universe Mode and the inconsistency in quality of player models keeps me from rating the game higher. Though I do agree that this is one of the best, if not THE best entry the series has ever seen, 2K has a lot of work to do with regards to adding depth to the game to give it a higher replay factor.

WWE 2K19 is without a doubt the best WWE game I've ever played! It's a complete package, and for the first time ever the presentation and superstar behaviour is as close to the WWE TV experience as possible. In my opinion, WWE 2K19 is the peak point for WWE games, this is the last WWE game that was developed by Yuke's. They made sure that they leave by making the best WWE game possible, and they really did it. Topping this one seems impossible..

WWE 2K19 is the best installment in the main WWE series to date! This game features an extremely large, high quality Creation Suite allowing you to create Superstars, Arenas, Championships, Money in the Bank briefcases and more better than ever. The Creation Suite works flawlessly which is important to note as the next game in the series unfortunately has many problems in it's Creation Suite. The Gameplay is also better than ever, having a lot of Match Types & Options/Sliders to edit, the best controls and mini-games, the smartest and most entertaining A.I we've seen to date in the series and introducing the Payback mechanic. The speed of the game isn't slow, and it's not comically fast either, it's the perfect pace (the framerate is also great, a big step up from 2K18). The Gameplay department is another area in which 2K20 failed to improve on and is filled with bugs/bad A.I, further making 2K19 the greatest to date. Despite the room for error in a game as complex as a Wrestling video game, this game barely had any major glitches, and most of them were ironed out and fixed during the patch period. (Once again something that can't be said for 2K20). The biggest glitch left in the game is the fact interference seemingly no longer works in Steel Cage matches. Other notable features present are the robust large Roster, the revamped story-driven MyCareer mode, added customization features in Universe Mode such as the new MITB system and the Match Table editor, and the return of 2K Showcase Mode featuring Daniel Bryan's greatest matches.

With the largest roster, most mechanics and modes of any Wrestling game, 2k19 is certainly quite packed with things to do. And the improved sim-like gameplay makes playing it tactical and rewarding. The game is held back by some underdeveloped modes and some presentation issues, but as a whole it's a step forward for the franchise

I really enjoy this game and I have been having quite a bit of fun with it. The roster, championship customization, wrestler customization, entrance customization, arena customization, the amount of match types, and the overall gameplay are all good. The best thing about this game in my opinion, is without a doubt how much customization there is. The amount of customization in this game is insane, it can be a little overwhelming at times (Which I don't mean as a bad thing). However, I do have a few issues and nitpicks with this game. First off, I wish there was a way to turn off or adjust the "overall" (Without an accelerator pack I have to pay extra for) and payback mechanics to make 2 Player Mode more balanced and make wrestlers like Kalisto or Adam Cole actually stand a chance against other wrestlers like Brock Lesnar, Stone Cold, or The Rock. Second, I wish you earned more V-Coins because it seems like you barely earn any, even if your matches are 5 stars and it makes trying to get every wrestler, championship, and arena take FOREVER, it is insane. Third, there are a considerable amount of glitches and bugs while playing like the wacky hair physics, the ring ropes, and sometimes your character just keeps glitching while they are setting up their finisher, the graphics look a bit outdated at times, and the gameplay while good, isn't perfect. It seems like a few times when I try to do a reversal, it doesn't register and like I said before, it can get glitchy while playing. Another thing which isn't necessarily a problem within the game, but I think were missed opportunities. I wish they included more arenas like more Wrestlemania, SummerSlam, and past Raw & Smackdown arenas like the ones from 2002 to 2016, etc. I understand that you can just customize that but not only does that take a long time for each one you create, they don't always come out accurate, the effects on the screen and presentation aren't the same and the announcers don't announce which Pay-Per View it is. One other thing is that I wish the announcers didn't always repeat the same things, it can get repetitive and wish sometimes, they said nothing at all. Overall, this game has its flaws but I still think it is a good wrestling game and a pretty good game in general. I rated this a 10 because I don't think it deserves a 5.7 user score, my real score would be an 7.9/10.

The game is a big step forward towards the rebuilding of the series, and other than universe mode, replay abilities and bugs, thus game is overall really good! Better than any 2K game!(except 2k14)

Compared to the previous 2K installments it was slightly better. Still glitchy and buggy in most ways and I couldn't get myself hooked to the main storyline since the voice acting was cringey to me. Also when it came to gameplay I found my character flying through the ring whenever he was grappled or thrown. Mainly bland overall though. Not worth a full price game and would only pick it up if it was on a huge sale. Hopefully the later years will be better

Best 2k wrestling game to date. Still missing create a finisher though. Story mode is actually really fun, and the addition of specialist abilities is okay. Played story mode and won really no issues. It is kind of grindy though. Also really miss the old thq create systems with sliders and more **** realism is lacking on the lifting etc. Never saw any of the glitches mentioned previously. But like all sports games, wwe doesn't need a yearly release.. just a roster update yearly. Unless something drastic changes won't be buying 2k20

MyCareer is full of personality and engaging storylines. Showcase mode offers an endearing history lesson. 2K Towers are a fun distraction with some comical modifiers. 2K Towers are a fun distraction with some comical modifiers. BUT The in-ring action is still too reliant on rigid reversals. Loot boxes in MyCareer are needlessly limiting.Character progression is too slow. Some notable absentees from the roster.

Though there is a lot of improvements here, the AI is still silly. That's all I can say... They reverse literally everything possible making this game not being fun at all. You barely get an advantage and as soon as you do, they will instantly reverse you. They really need to balance the AI in this game out.

The game succeeds in making you want to come back for more. Unfortunately, there is not much more to come back to. The MyCareer mode was my most anticipated mode, as it is each year. They took one step forward and two steps backward. The storyline was fun but rather short. The Epilogue is utterly disappointing. Just a series of random matches is not how I want to continue MyCareer. MyCareer should be a Career not a few months. Not saying I need it to be ten years long but allowing fueds, create tag teams/stables and retire should be apart of it. Like NBA 2K, if you meet the criteria, you make the Hall. The are hundreds of cutscenes in the game already, their is not reason they can't be used for MyCareer. To add insult to injury, mindless grinding for hours and hours and capping at 91 is ridiculous. The Prestige Levels are cool but the gear is not sufficient reward. I really enjoyed previous editions where you could inport a friend's CAS and the ability to export your own CAS for play in other modes. I recommend XP or VC should be used for attributes and style points be used for moves and attire. I look forward to next year's game and hope it brings more to this mode. Also, give us a WOMEN story mode!

Where to start, this another game in the franchise another copy to place current superstars on a thin circular disc, but is it really worth it. A year in year out release my sound good but you only have to look at Assassins Creed to see that the formula doesn’t work all too well. I get the landscape of WWE changes quicker than the 1 2 3 but a game needs to provide a concrete sustainable function of gameplay to provide a way for players to enjoy it. Now WWE 2k19 is not bad in fact it is probably the best since 2k took over the franchise, obviously props to 2k14 for story mode but we’ll move on. 2k19 basks in good gameplay, lovely graphics and an expansive way to create your own shows and wrestlers. The return of showcase was a nice addition and the towers was another way to last your time with the game. But underneath the layers of content poured out by the new release lies the same old concept of glitches (though I must say not as much), A few persistent errors with the creation suite and overall a carbon copy of last years with a few decorative modes. I will say I enjoy this game as I have for many in the franchise, but since skipping out on 2k18 I doubted the success on this one. While it has improved since 2k18 it still feels as if these games are struggling with giving its players that full creative freedom we hoped for. I will keep to the franchises as I love wrestling but let’s hope that 2k can pull out a big one for 2k20.

Sick of the glitches!!! I thought that they would fix them in this game, but no, same old s***, like the last five games. I will no longer be buying WWE games, as long as 2K is producing them. I urge others to follow suit and not buy the next game, so that they can learn from their mistakes, and get all glitches fixed. The glitches are always happening in important parts of the game. Example, I spent almost 20 minutes playing a ladder match, and then the game glitches when I'm on top of the ladder, and I cannot move my character, and had to restart. Also major glitch in the royal rumble, almost through the match, and then no one enters, and I couldn't even pause the game, had to close it fully and go back on it again. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!! If anything happens to my console because of these glitches, they will be held liable. Also, the gameplay is quite agonising when you cannot reverse the opponents moves, and they get a few hits in and finish the match.

If you are looking just to wrestle, I'm not sure it's worth the price. Most people seem to want a better universe mode and the match rating just rewards you for wrestling longer and using all your moves. Even the tacky story mode isn't that good. I get the moves are locked, but the cost of them all is a bit much.

The WWE 2K games have been games I have stopped getting into after 2K15. The reason mainly was that I personally didn’t like the whole trying to be as realistic to what you see live on TV. I loved games like WWF No Mercy, Smackdown Here Comes the Pain, WWE Day of Reckoning, ect. The reason I loved those games was because it was pretty easy to get into and it wouldn’t take long for people to get use to the controls. So when I finally got my copy of WWE 2K19 I was excited because I can play as wrestlers from the current WWE/NXT roster, but I was also worried that the controls would be something would keep me from enjoying the game. Thankfully I grew to really enjoy this game, even though there are some things keeping it from being great. In past WWE games there were story modes that either were original stories made by the developers or the story mode would be a simulation of past wrestling moments like the Attitude Era. This time around the game's story mode revolves around current WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan. The story mode shows a lot of moments of his career like one of his first matches in WWE, when he went by the name Bryan Danielson. To his big main event matches with John Cena at Summerslam for the WWE Championship and the Triple Threat Match between him, Randy Orton, and Batista at Wrestlemania 30. I really got into this story mode mainly because I am a fan of Daniel Bryan, plus it was really cool to see all of his big matches replicated in video game form and a lot of the scripted moments during those matches were great. It felt like I was really rewatching the matches it was simulating. I really don't have an issue with the story format 2K is taking with these games but, the story mode was pretty short. I think it would have been better if there were 2 more wrestlers getting to same treatment. Someone that comes to mind is the coverboy himself AJ Styles could have gotten the same treatment. As for the gameplay which was my biggest concern walking into this game, is pretty much a more technical game, but it still is pretty easy to get into if you have played some of the WWE Smackdown vs Raw games. The only added feature is the payback abilities which is something you can trigger during a match, that can either give you a finisher stock or if there is a moment you know it will be hard to break a pin or submission you can use the resiliency ability and you automatically kick out of a pin/submission. There are a lot of abilities in this game and each superstar has something that fits their character. The way you can use payback abilities is by filling up a bar which can only be filled if you are fighting. And when the time is right payback abilities can help save you in a lot of situations. Other added features to this game include match types like 5 Man Match types, more match types for 6 Man matches, and now 8 Man matches. Looking at 8 Man matches specifically, it ran pretty well, I didn’t feel like the game was running slow because of all the wrestlers on the screen at the same time. There were a lot of times when the game would glitch in during matches like the Elimination Chamber where sometimes characters would stretch as if they were Mr. Fantastic or one of Bailey’s wacky waving inflatable tube man and while it was funny to see sometimes it did happen a couple of times and I hope things like that get patched. Overall WWE 2K19 was a game I really enjoyed playing and I’m glad I don't need to rely on past wrestling games as my only way to play wrestling games. I wanted to play a really good wrestling game with wrestlers that I watch on TV or with the help of WWE Creation in 2K19, people can make wrestlers from other companies like New Japan, TNA, ROH, ect and later upload the characters they made online and people can download them so they can be added to their games. And a lot of the created wrestlers people have made are fantastic and could have easily have passed as playable from the get go. WWE 2K19 is a really good time and while there are some improvements that can be made to it like adding more stories to go through, it was great to play a solid wrestling game.

I bought this game for my **** both me and my son (8 yrs old) can't find the **** example how do you pin? what do you need to press on the cnotroller so that you pin the player? what does it mean to payback? if you play in tag teams how do you give the hand to your partner to enter the ring? I mean the moves we cannot get at **** anyone help please? Also does the game have levels? for example amateur, beginner, legend, professional, I mean like fifa for example? if yes where do I have to enter in menu?

I've played this after 3 days after buying it and I'm mentally drained and find it hard to launch the game from lack of motivation. No surprise critics are given it an overall mediocre score. Royal Rumble should be fun but its tedious and unfair, esp. on legend. Showcase on Legend was so frustrating with the fun **** out of it, 2k tower mode, good idea but poor execution, its too stressful and pointless when you get to the final match, eg as roussy you must win by submission then meet steph mac in cage match where she has a finisher at the start, used it, then climbs cage and wins in under 2 mins. and the game expects you to grind back to the start and win 4 matches to try it again, eg 2 C. Flair must submit Paige where Paige will use payback about 7 times to escape your submissions, which I eventually won after 25 mins eg 3 beat Undertaker in 5 mins by pin or submission no foreign weapons (DQ) but he was counted out and I progressed?. Payback benefits the AI more than it does you especially in Legend. Elimination Chamber use to be my favourite match type, but now its too stressful with Payback and even when I play without. Warning!!!!! This game is not improving enough to be an entertaining simulation, especially non-children and non-wrestling fanatics and gamers who don't have someone competitive on their level of skill to play with. After 3 weeks, had to trade it in. The franchise seems dead to me and don't think if I would buy another for a long while.

Wwe2k19 is a perfect example that wwe doesn't really need a yearly game release, the game is already boring to play in just a couple of days, it's pretty much wwe2k18 with some minor tweaks and additions here and there. Game is still buggy as hell and some matches are still broken like the hell in the cell.

One step forward, two steps back. Voice acting and showcase a plus but the gameplay just keeps getting worse. When the core part of your game **** the overall game will **** and that's exactly what is happening. It is so buggy and glitchy it's not even funny, not to mention the difficulty of countering moves off the ground and also what's with the ridiculous debuffing this year???? Needs to be removed, happens 3 or 4 times a match where you can't reverse for 20 seconds. Gameplay is way to slow, frustrating, messy and honestly boring. They need to bring in an option where you can either play in arcade or sim mode because honestly this gameplay is trash and broken.

Been playing WWE games since HCTP on PS2. 2k has ruined these games but this year it is a step in the right direction. Gameplay has quickened and the AI actually try to beat you this year. Universe Mode, while not incredibly different, is an upgrade for sure. Major downside is the Showcase Mode. While replaying Daniel Bryan's story is great and all, the game is heavily rigged and you will not beat it. It is literally impossible to beat this mode because the game gives AI free reversals and won't let you complete objectives. The game literally will turn you in the opposite direction of your opponent for no reason, give them a finisher, and you will lose every time. I'm not sure why this is a thing in the game but it is. So if you looked for ward to Showcase Mode, don't bother buying. Haven't touched Career or Online so can't speak for that. I'd love the game more if it wasn't rigged. Edit: Career Mode is rigged too lmao

Iron Shiek: "WWE 2K F'n BullS*** (then spits) hark toooo" Vast majority get bored of this game within a month, I'm burnt out after playing this in only a week, its shocking on how horrendous it is too play against the AI. Stomp, Stomp, Stomp, Stomp that's how you beat the Ai in Legend or Hard, YouTubers cheese the game to be the best, FUN isn't it! , commentator responds "Oh Man!, Oh Man!, Oh Man!, Oh Man!, Oh Man!" every time you stomp. When you attack, you constantly miss or fail to grab the other wrestler, and PayBack is a **** I dominated a match with most of my health, then I wasn't able to reverse as the game glitched AGAIN!!! as Lesner with about max damage massacred me as I couldn't reverse for 3 mins so I quit knowing it glitched. 2K Towers is a pointless exercise, as Mysterio after the 1st match, the games animation goes into fast forward for some reason? if you find this mode fun, then you need a woman, loser! same with Career, Universe..

Though the game isn't perfect, I am giving it a 10 anyways due to 2K finally giving us a good amount of actual effort in the first time in years (probably the most effort since 2K took over the WWE gaming franchise). Everything is improved here, from the flow of the match and variety of match types to the return of Showcase mode and a mycareer mode with an actual story! Unlike past entries, this mycareer mode ditches the nightmare that is playing random meaningless matches non stop with barely any story lines, and introduces us to a fully voiced and original story about your created "MyPlayer" character going from a living in a van indies star to the top of the WWE ladder. Showcase mode is finally back as well, and focuses this time on the career of Daniel Bryan, filled with introductions by the man himself. Towers mode is an interested addition too and can really put your skills to the test. Although the game is not perfect (commentary still has its issues and there are still bugs that needs to be fixed), I think it is enough of an improvement to take notice of and makes things seem much more brighter for the WWE 2k series going forward.

I am beginning to believe that no matter what 2K does, they will be overly critical of WWE wrestling games. Now this game is far from perfect but if you have played this franchise for years, you will notice the number of strides it has made. The main improvement is the gameplay. Its just so much more fast paced and fluid. It is now a fun game on top of being more simulation. The graphics have improved as well. Although they could be better, I feel like each wrestler is definitely more detailed and now resemble their real life counterparts. If you are a fan of WWE and you liked previous installments of this series, you will love WWE 2k19 because its the best one to date.
