After an impressive showing with WWE 2K19, WWE 2K20 should've been everything that game was and more. Unfortunately, Visual Concepts really dropped the ball. WWE 2K20 is an extremely broken game. One of the most essential and popular modes in Create A Superstar has a lot of glitches such as face morphing being deformed in Gameplay. A lot of Body Adjustment options are warped and don't display as intended. Gameplay suffers due to bad A.I and changes to a large portion of the animations and their speed. Many old animations are made unnecessarily slower, and many new animations to the series seem unnecessarily fast; thus messing up the flow of the match. Bugs and glitches are frequent during matches as well. The Accelerator DLC has always historically had an option to unlock everything in the game, this entry in the series however forces you to unlock most aspects of the DLC, leaving only the base items in the game unlocked upon activating. Crashes/Freezes are frequent in most areas of the game. Long load times in certain menus as well. Cursors constantly not defaulting to the first selection in a list. Overall, WWE 2K20 is a huge disappointment. It is one of (if not THE) worst in the series; down at the bottom with Smackdown vs RAW 2008 or WWE 2K15. Hopefully the next game in the main WWE 2K series picks up where 2K19 left off and isn't a repeat of 2K20.

WWE 2K19 is the best installment in the main WWE series to date! This game features an extremely large, high quality Creation Suite allowing you to create Superstars, Arenas, Championships, Money in the Bank briefcases and more better than ever. The Creation Suite works flawlessly which is important to note as the next game in the series unfortunately has many problems in it's Creation Suite. The Gameplay is also better than ever, having a lot of Match Types & Options/Sliders to edit, the best controls and mini-games, the smartest and most entertaining A.I we've seen to date in the series and introducing the Payback mechanic. The speed of the game isn't slow, and it's not comically fast either, it's the perfect pace (the framerate is also great, a big step up from 2K18). The Gameplay department is another area in which 2K20 failed to improve on and is filled with bugs/bad A.I, further making 2K19 the greatest to date. Despite the room for error in a game as complex as a Wrestling video game, this game barely had any major glitches, and most of them were ironed out and fixed during the patch period. (Once again something that can't be said for 2K20). The biggest glitch left in the game is the fact interference seemingly no longer works in Steel Cage matches. Other notable features present are the robust large Roster, the revamped story-driven MyCareer mode, added customization features in Universe Mode such as the new MITB system and the Match Table editor, and the return of 2K Showcase Mode featuring Daniel Bryan's greatest matches.
