An intense, brutal and gorgeous ARPG. If you've got withdrawal symptoms from Diablo 3, look no further. [Aug 2017, p.96]

If you add in the Motorhead or Fractured Worlds expansions, and the ability to play all of the content alone or co-op and in any sequence, Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is an extremely generous package that will take dozens of entertaining hours to complete. With each mission having multiple objectives, there are plenty of reasons to revisit areas several times. Not everything about Victor Vran is new and different, of course, but its solid mechanics and strong personality go a long way towards creating a satisfying play experience.

We've seen better stories come to live virtually, but Victor Vran makes up for this flaw with enjoyable gameplay, that pretty much guarantees a good time, especially when you've got a friend to play the game with.

I like this kind of game, it's worth having in your collection, especially the 'Victor Vran Black Label #01 ' is a trylly master piece for collectors!

A nice diablo-clone with more action-packed combat and uncomplicated pumping in gothic scenery with a stylish hat

8.5/10. This is a pretty fun game. The combat isn't too complex and strategic, but it's still pretty good and offers both melee and gun combat, which makes for a fun mix. It has great atmosphere, some narration at times that's pretty well done and often humorous. I'm typically drawn to 3D games and 2D side-scrollers, so this isometric game was a welcome change. I'd recommend this game, and it was recently added to PlayStation Now.

One of the most polished dungeon crawlers in years, Victor Vran is an easy recommendation to anyone with even the slightest fondness for the genre.

Taking its inspiration from some of the best dungeon crawlers out there, Victor Vran is an immensely fun action-RPG that will keep you playing for hours and hours.

Despite its obvious presentation issues, Victor Vran: Overkill Edition is good fun.

The high-energy fun of Victor Vran means it really is a romp, if one that occasionally stutters. While the slightly repetitive nature grates, you can easily see a few hours dissolving into Victor Vran before your very eyes. Like a vampire in sunlight.

While I can't flaunt the game for anything bar a broken inventory system, I struggle to find anything outstanding to say about it as well.

Victor Vran is a fantastic game that can get a bit repetitive but, with gameplay this enjoyable, that's fine with me tbqh. Similat to Diablo, yet really not a 'clone,' which is a highly overused label that gets applied to just about every isometric fantasy game. There are quite a few unique features to VV though I won't go into detail because going into this game with open expectations, and no spoilers, will leave you pleasantly surprised. The controls are tight, and while not customizable, most will find the layout as close to perfect as you can get. The graphics and story are good, not great. The game mechanics have quite a bit of depth; this is one of the things that left me pleasantly surprised. You'll find that many hours can be put into this game, and the Overkill Edition increases those hours of enjoyment by way of two expansion/dlc packs that are not featured in the vanilla version of the game. For those of you that prefer scores more than explanations: Story- 6 Graphics- 7 Sound/Music- 7 Controls- 9 Depth/Features- 8 Enjoyment Factor- 9 Replayability- 9 Price- 10 Overall- 9 Well, that's all I got, lol. Give this game a try, you won't regret it, and have fun. :-)

Really nice dungeon crawler, I enjoyed it. It becomes a little repetitive but it manages to stay fresh most of the time.

It starts well, and you think it will be a good substitute for Diablo 3. But the ratio of "I really enjoyed that" to "I turned it off because it got tedious" is not good. Fights are long drawn out non-strategic bullet-sponge affairs, usually ending with some ridiculous insta-death fight that requires shuffling different weapons until one works. Tedious in the extreme and not a patch on Diablo.

I played Torchlight 1 and 2 to the conclusion and yeah they was ok-ish, but nothing I would return to. This game seems of a similar vain and that is the problem really. Played it for a fair few hours all in co-op. So even with the "everything is better with friends" argument? Well it still got repetitive and boring fairly quick. We was out by level 19 after the Queens major plot reveal. Not a fan of this genre, but at least Torchlight 1/2 was fun and I only ever SP those ones.
SummaryBecome Victor, hunter of demons. Forge your own hero on a quest to liberate the cursed city of Zagoravia. Explore ‘Motörhead: Through the Ages’ - a wild tour through the mythos of the loudest band in the world, and enter the Fractured Worlds, a dimension formed from the fragments of broken realms.
