For the RPG, story telling elements alone I’d recommend it… for being set in space it gets bonus points… for being just a well fleshed out world that is quite striking to look at and to inhabit it gets a hearty recommendation. If you like RPG’s then this is definitely worth checking out!

Is this a bad DLC? Fortunately, no. You'll definitely enjoy it, but a feeling of disappointment will constantly keep you company during this adventure, as it could be something a lot better than simply "more of a good thing" kind of deal. In other words, Peril on Gorgon is just one more quest line to complete - one that's fun, but not any different than what came before it.

As a big fan of The Outer Worlds, I found Peril on Gorgon to be another fulfilling dive into this fascinating universe, giving me more of what I loved about the original game. It doesn’t break any new ground, aside from the addition of some audio logs and some new weapons. But that’s okay. Great DLC isn’t a sequel, it’s a 10-hour expansion on what made the original game so good. In other words, if you loved The Outer Worlds and want to encounter more tough moral choices, crazy science weapons, and engaging characters, you should check out Peril on Gorgon. I certainly had a blast roleplaying a hard-boiled interstellar detective/starship captain, and it only made me excited for more DLC in the future!

Good fx and good action, random story and controls are not the best. Not a bad game for free with gamepass ultimate on xbox pc.

Although battling endless hordes of hyped-up marauders can grow tiresome, Peril on Gorgon adds a welcome depth to the narrative with plenty of humor wrapped in a sci-fi film-noir mystery.

A great expansion! Easily equal to the best parts of the base game, and really lifts the game up. I really enjoyed playing this, and highly recommend getting this expansion if you are a fan of the base game.

It is sad that Obsidian didn’t take the chance to shake things up but at the same time, anyone that enjoyed The Outer Worlds is going to get a kick out of this 5ish hour adventure that is chock full of great characters and snappy writing.

Peril on Gorgon is simply more Outer Worlds. It feels like a natural addition and fits right in with the rest of the game, while offering a slightly different tone in terms of story. The main quest is lengthy and replayable, but there’s not much in terms of side quests or gear.

The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon is a good DLC, which adds a few hours of gameplay to the base game, without rev the formula or having much new to say.

If you really enjoyed The Outer Worlds and need a reason to play again, or have been hankering for more, then Peril on Gorgon is worth checking out.

Players who are looking for more The Outer Worlds will likely be happy with Peril on Gorgon, but people who were hoping for something as dramatic and deadly as Fallout: New Vegas' DLC offerings like Dead Money or Lonesome Road may be left wanting. It's a great addition to a quality title, but it's not different enough to justify the separation from the main game's story, and overall Peril on Gorgon feels more like a side quest which could have been easily included in the original version of The Outer Worlds rather than costing players an extra $14.99 USD.

I'm actually just wanting to rate the base game although I do own the DLCs. Another 'meh' title that simply doesn't rival games like Mass Effect or Witcher 3 or even the buggy Fallout 4 (I actually love Fallout 4 despite the bugs) and Cyberpunk (that's right against the lack lustre Cyberpunk, this game is poor). List of poor effort and game thinness: - Very little customisable equipment in comparison to other games. - Very limited character development options. Go back to the 1980's and 90's and hit games like Baldur's Gate, Lands of Lore etc and this game is blown to pieces by comparison). - Very boring, long winded conversations with only a handful of NPCs (the world is very thinly filled and if there is a conversation at all, it's a dead end). - Very dull and 'rinse cycle repeat' RPG 'choices' e.g. first choice, save town a or town b. Turns out both sides are **** (who would have seen that cliche coming) with no option for a 'good guy' solution because despite everything you have to do, the conversations are dead end and you can't use negotiation skills to say things like 'hey, I just picked your side because you came across as the compassionate ones, therefore, don't be a **** and help to save everybody or I'll go back and shut everything down'. - To reaffirm the above- I AM SERIOUSLY TIRED OF GAMES THAT MAKE EVERY DECISION A DARK CHOICE OF CRAP, CRAP OR A TINY BIT LESS CRAP DEPENDING ON OPINION. It's boring, unrealistic and it isn't 'dark, clever and mysterious' its god awful stupidity. Computer games SHOULD NOT DEPRESS PEOPLE! - The colour palette is interesting and they have clearly gone for their own look here. It's a personal preference thing but why does my dude need bluish highlights in his blonde hair?!?!? - Fighting is pretty monotonous and quite dull. All in all, it's hard to think of a more 'high calibre' poverty stricken game. Maybe Fallout 76?

To quote Cohh Carnage's review "Hmm. That was a DLC." Agreed with him that the story was bland and underwhelming and easily predicted. Hopefully next DLC is better, but not sure I'm going to play it.
SummaryThe Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon takes place on the Gorgon asteroid, which was the site of one of the most ambitious scientific undertakings in Halcyon: the development and synthesis of Adrena-Time, a drug intended to improve the productivity of workers across the Halcyon colony.
