While Echoes Of Sekigahara doesn’t quite reach the same narrative heights of the core title, it is nonetheless a wonderful addition, and Most Wanted gives players a refreshing change of pace. Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition is just that.

Despite the few structural issues regarding the open areas, I really enjoyed it. The story was tight, the new mechanics felt great, and I really feel like there were some smart additions to what is a pretty old formula. Throw all that in with the absolutely eye-wateringly good graphics, and that is a recipe for a good time. Most importantly, for me at least, E-Day feels like the perfect balance between innovation, evolution, and keeping fans happy. That is a difficult balance for developers to maintain, but The Coalition seems to have achieved it here. [Review in Progress]

If you’re hungry for more Dynasty Warriors, this will satisfy you. Just know it’s tough as nails and is unashamedly an old title, for better and worse.

It’s a frenetic, challenging and emotional experience, and if you’re on board (or find yourself on board) with its displays of aerial ballet amongst the chaos, you will find yourself feeling the responsibility of Wings and becoming the hero you need to be.

Some minor presentational blemishes and slight imbalance to the Overblaze system are about the only drawbacks present in an otherwise exceptional new entry of Fire Emblem which marries the traditional and the modern together to a level of success not reached in other recent franchise entries.

Marvel’s Wolverine has a great, engaging plot, and some visceral gameplay, but a lack of combat diversity makes even the game’s reasonable 16-18 hour long duration sometimes feel a bit excessive.

Taking Hot Wheels into an open world seems so obvious that it is surprising it hasn’t happened sooner. Some issues with tech and variety are present, but otherwise Infinite Rush is a wonderful racer for gamers of any age.

Some writing and delivery issues are about the only flaws present in an otherwise incredible Onimusha experience. Capcom’s rich vein of form continues.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is one of those games that gives me pause as I try to sum up my thoughts and find a way to give it a score. The way it explores themes of humanity, hopelessness, desperation and family responsibility is unparalleled in recent times, particularly in a game of this type. But inconsistent systems and repetitive combat detract from the experience in a way that frustrates me. It’s clear that this game wants you to replay it to explore different outcomes in its conclusion – and part of me is compelled to do so. But then I go right back to being frustrated that it couldn’t give me a neat, holistic experience of the story in the way I felt I was promised, so I’m torn. If you can take your time with this game and space out the repetitive encounters, I believe you’ll find one of the most complex and raw explorations of what it means to be human, especially in times of desperation, that I’ve seen in a game in quite some time. Or you could just pump up those vampire abilities, and maybe you won’t run into the problems I did – only you can decide if it’s worth the risk.

Star Wars: Zero Company, despite some rough edges, manages to open up the turn-based tactics genre to new players, while at the same time giving fans of the genre exactly what they crave. A cracking tactical adventure in a galaxy far, far away.
