Darksiders: Warmastered Edition6
May 2, 2026
This is what I would call a mediocre game. The story is okay and the difficulty level is acceptable, but there are several things that could have been done much better. I find the combat becomes boring over time, and I sometimes find it hard to remember all the different buttons you need to press to fight, use, or activate various things throughout the game.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond8
Apr 10, 2026
Overall, it’s a good game. It has a solid story, the graphics are beautiful, it’s easy to control, and if you get a bit stuck, you’re given help to find the next location. However, there are a few things that can make the game feel a bit drawn out. First of all, you still have to spend a lot of time traveling back and forth. Why not add some kind of “stations” on the map that you can quickly teleport to? Secondly, you need to spend quite a bit of time collecting lots of green crystals, and thirdly, I find it extremely annoying that you constantly have to fight the same monsters every time you return to the different rooms and areas.

Hades II9

I bought Hades 1 and Hades 2 together. I never really got hooked on Hades 1, so I was a bit skeptical when I started playing Hades 2, but I ended up feeling much more positive about it. I think it’s a better game overall. There are more progression options, and the pacing is faster, so you rarely feel like you’re getting stuck. That said, I still think it sometimes can become a bit boring and drawn out to go through the same levels over and over again.

Overall, it’s an okay game, but I also think it’s overrated. You get the opportunity to upgrade after every time you die, but even so, I feel that it progresses far too slowly and that the game’s development happens at too slow a pace. In my opinion, that makes it a bit too drawn-out. I’ve tried turning on “God Mode,” but I don’t think that helps all that much either.

An entertaining game that is relatively easy to get into. It took just under 30 hours to complete, but there is the option to continue playing afterward. Overall, I would say it is one of the better entries in the series. The only thing I miss in the game is the character Link.

You can decide for yourself whether you want to complete the missions aggressively or defensively. There are several different solutions, but in general it takes a lot of time and patience to complete the missions. I’m almost inclined to say that the levels are too large, because it really takes a lot of time to investigate the different areas and find the things you need.

I bought the game for only about $6, and I have to say you get a lot for the price. It took me a little while to figure out how the concept worked, but it’s actually quite straightforward. During the day, you sell goods, earn money, and upgrade your stuff, and at night, you go through dungeons to gather more items. The only downside I’d mention is that the fairly simple concept can make the game feel a bit drawn out at times. However, not to the point where it’s made me stop playing. It reminds me a bit of Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos, so if you liked that game, you’ll probably enjoy this one too.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker9
Jul 26, 2025
I finally got around to trying the original Wind Waker game. It’s a really good game and definitely ranks among the better entries in the series. However, I don’t agree with those who say it’s the best game in the series—but that’s another discussion. The only thing I’d say that brings it down a bit is that, even though you have the option to fast travel to many different destinations, you still end up spending a lot of dull time sailing. Also, I feel like the game is missing one or two more dungeons. I’d say the dungeons that are in the game are fine, but not particularly more memorable than the ones in the other games in the series.

I’ve played the first one, and I have to say, the two games are very similar, so I’ll pretty much say the same things this time. It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s easy to find out and control. The difficulty level is very low, maybe too low, so anyone can play it. It’s clear they’ve tried to copy the Zelda games, but the quality just isn’t on the same level. All in all, a decent little game.

Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos9
Apr 14, 2025
A pretty entertaining game that took me just over 17 hours to complete 100%. You quickly learn how to control it. It’s reminiscent of the good old 2D games. If you enjoy games like Zelda: A Link to the Past, there’s a very good chance you’ll enjoy this one as well. However, there are a few minor bugs that keep me from giving it a top rating. I experienced a few instances where the character would freeze for a few seconds, allowing me to turn but not move, and there were moments where enemies moved inside walls or other inaccessible areas. That said, the game is relatively inexpensive, so I’d say you get a lot of value for your money.

A really great game—one of the better ones I’ve played. The music is good, and the graphics are reminiscent of classic 2D games. There are quite a few similarities to the Zelda games. You’re constantly getting upgrades, finding chests, solving puzzles, completing dungeons with a final boss at the end, and running around with a fairy. All the characters in the game have a limited number of hours left to live, so along the way, you have to decide whether to focus solely on yourself or try to save some of the others. However, you have the option to disable this feature, allowing you to take as much time as you want to complete the game without worrying about it.

I think the game is best and most fun when you play it with others. When playing alone, I feel like you don’t really want to play for several hours at a time. I grew up with the NES myself, so it was nice to see the old games again. I think the game is a bit more enjoyable for those who have played the old NES games before. But overall, I miss having more features and options, such as for example tournaments or other game modes.

I was a bit unsure whether it deserved a 7 or an 8, but I’ll give it a small 8. It’s a game I finished in about 25 hours. The music is nice, the controls are fairly simple, and there aren’t a ton of things you constantly have to keep track of along the way. However, I found the story a bit strange. I think it’s pretty obvious throughout that they were inspired by the older Zelda games. Normally, I don’t mind some dialogue in a game, but one of the most negative aspects of this game is that there is an overwhelming amount of it. Even for me, it was way too much. Luckily, there’s a fast-forward button, so you can get through all these pauses more quickly.

Ori: The Collection9

Two games in one. Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition gets a score of 8, while Ori and the Will of the Wisps gets a score of 10. Both games feature beautiful music, graphics, and storytelling, and they are relatively easy to control. There are a few minor flaws in the first game, such as the combat system not being very good, which is why it “only” gets a score of 8. I think the difficulty level is fair, but there is an option to adjust it along the way if needed. Overall, I would definitely say you get a lot of value for your money here.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom9

A really good game. It feels very much like a mix between Tears of the Kingdom and A Link Between Worlds. Unfortunately, the difficulty level is low, so it doesn’t provide much of a challenge. I like the idea that you can copy things and create them yourself later. However, you end up making so many copies that you never use again, which can make it quite difficult to keep track of them. It would have been nice if you could organize and move them around yourself.
But there are many hours of entertainment here, so it’s a game I would recommend.

I haven’t played the original game, so I can’t compare the two. Overall, it’s a really good game. It has beautiful graphics, it’s easy to control, and the music is okay. I really liked the lock-on system when fighting the monsters. However, I can’t give it a top score because I think it has some flaws and shortcomings. You spend an incredible amount of time walking back and forth. I could probably live with that if it wasn’t for the monsters respawning in the different rooms all the time. It wasn’t always possible to just quickly pass through. Sometimes you had to fight the battles over and over again. I REALLY missed having some 'transport stations' that would allow you to quickly travel to and from places. I also didn’t find the map easy to navigate. Here, I missed the option to make markings on the map so you could remember what you needed to return to later. It was completely impossible to remember the places you needed to revisit later in the game.

Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot: The First Cases6
Jul 25, 2024
A calm game that is quite simply put together. Basically, you only need to do three things: 1) Search for clues, 2) Interrogate different characters, and 3) Connect the various clues. Once these three tasks are completed, the answers and solutions will gradually reveal themselves. You don’t need to worry about the difficulty level, as you can’t really go wrong. If you ask the wrong question or connect the wrong clues, you simply get another chance to try again. The graphics aren’t fantastic, but they are acceptable. The stories are well-conceived, but there doesn’t seem to be anything particularly challenging about the game. Even though I am a big fan of Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot, this game didn’t blow me away. However, it is a decent and mediocre experience. If you enjoy crime games, it’s worth a try.

A cozy game that likely appeals most to a younger audience. Personally, I think they could have ‘modernized’ it a bit more, as it still has an old-fashioned look. However, it is well put together and fairly simple and easy to approach. It’s a good option if you want to try one of the older games.

May 23, 2024
I think it’s an overrated game. The music and story are fine, but the graphics are dull. I feel like it constantly shifts from being fun to really annoying and frustrating, which detracts from the overall experience. Even though there are 8 chapters with different appearances and characters, it mostly revolves around the same concept: finding a way out and collecting as many cherries as possible along the way, along with the videotape if you want to increase the challenge. I also find the controls to be a bit ‘loose.’ I often feel that Celeste doesn’t move the way I want her to. While there are good moments throughout the game, I don’t think it deserves the high rating it has received.

The difficulty level is well-balanced, but you have the option to lower it if you find it too challenging. If you enjoy the Metroid games, you will really love this game, as you need to travel to many places and constantly upgrade your abilities and items. A cozy little game where you don’t need to think too much and can just play when you’re bored. If you’re familiar with the original old games, this is clearly an upgrade, incorporating only the best elements. It’s undoubtedly most fun to play with friends and acquaintances, but you can still enjoy playing alone against the computer or others online. The only thing I wish for is a few extra levels and perhaps an additional game for solo players.

It’s an entertaining game where you don’t need to think too much. So, if you’re looking for action, it might not be the right game for you. It has a fantastic storyline, and after the prologue, you can choose the order in which you want to experience it. A fine little game that can be completed in 10 hours, if you want to complete 100%. It is not a masterpeace but it's easy to figure out and control. I’m actually unsure of how to grade it, so I have reached a kind of compromise. Because on the one hand it's a fantastic game with a great graphic and a tons of hours of entertainment. There are so many things to do and have fun with, but on the other hand it just feels a bit like a new and bigger version of BOTW with more areas to investigate and some more options. In addition, I think that the underground is a waste of time. What you find down there is very limited. Besides that, I miss the “old days” when there were far more dungeons with keys, compass, map and a new item. Personally I liked the earlier games better with more dungeons and less side quest. Therefore “Zelda: Ocarina of Time” will still be my favorite game.

The controls are easy to master, the music is fantastic, and the story is great. However, there is one thing I really don’t understand: why isn’t there a map available? After 50 hours, I completed the game, and I feel the need to lower the initial rating I gave it. I think the first part of the game is really good, but after that, the entertainment value and quality declined. I actually came close to quitting a few times along the way. Most of the side quests became too monotonous and boring. The dungeons were confusing and not exciting, and I often just wanted to get them over with. As others have mentioned, there’s a really annoying issue with the platforms. You stand on a platform thinking you can jump to another, but after you jump, you realize it’s far too high to reach. In my opinion, they should have removed many of the side quests, shortened the game, and improved the dungeons. I got the sense that the developers lost focus as the game progressed. That said, the game does have a good story and is easy to control. It’s also a budget-friendly game, and if you’re a big fan of RPGs, it might be worth a try. But I can say for certain that I won’t be playing it again.
