Team Sonic Racing

Team Sonic Racing refines and advances the genre in creative ways that make it a must play for both kart racing and Sonic fans alike, which is easy to do thanks to its budget price.

There’s a ton to like about Team Sonic Racing. The racing itself is as tight and high octane as ever while remaining accessible. Some of the challenge might be a bit much for the wee ones in single player, but otherwise, the solo content is extremely engaging and well balanced. Online works like a dream and local play with friends will still serve up some classic rivalries turning into fist fights. By design, there’s some stuff that was in the previous game whose absence feels missed here, but Team Sonic Racing is still a no brainer for Sonic fans and kart racing fans alike. The concept might still not make sense, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t fantastic.

Team Sonic Racing is one of Sonic's best spin-off games to date. Even with the handful of problems I had with the game, I found I was easily able to overlook them because of the pure fun I was having. Team Sonic Racing is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for your next kart racing craze.

A small roster, somewhat bland presentation, and performance issues during local play do hold the game back from its full potential. I absolutely recommend giving Team Sonic Racing a whirl for its new kind of kart racing play, but if you want to play locally with your friends, you’ll have to put up with some potholes.

Team Sonic Racing is a decent kart racing game, however plagued by too much similarities with Mario Kart.

Team Sonic Racing offers a hopeful glimpse at how compelling a team-based kart racer can be. However, inadequate AI, limited loot box progression, and a poorly-polished multiplayer suite make this seem more like a stepping stone that'll hopefully lead to something more well-realized.

Team Sonic Racing, despite carrying a tidbit of fun, doesn't stand up to other kart racers today.

Very OVERRATED, Sure the last game was better but this isn't garbage.........

As a budget title this might be ok but SEGA missed the mark here. Good concept idea of team work but SEGA need to build on there games not take away mechanics that worked so well for the last game. If you have an Xbox one I would recommend getting the last title Sonic Racing Transformed over this

The game is fun but where is the content? Only 15 characters and like 24 tracks that most of them look very similar, no battle mod and not even a dlc characters and tracks , this game has so much potential But it will only take you about 20 hours until you get tired of it

It exists and it works. It’s quite boring, but it at least functions. That’s about it. Go play CTR or Mario Kart instead.
