Burnout 3: Takedown

With amazingly addictive gameplay, fabulous graphics, astonishing speed and enjoyable online gameplay (when EA's servers are cooperating) one cannot help but not want to play this title all the time.

Even if driving games aren't normally your thing, Burnout 3 is still right for you. It's <I>that</I> good. It ranks among the best racing games ever made...An amazing achievement that anyone with a pulse will probably love.

This is my first 10/10 on Metacritic, and I reviewed Ocarina of Time. This game is literal perfection in arcade racer form. The soundtrack is perfect, the graphics are perfect, the events are perfect, the feeling of smashing an opponent into a semi truck at 160mph, oh you better believe that's perfect. This game is what all other arcade racers must measure up against. It is the gold standard of the genre. It doesn't matter if you get it on PS2 or XBOX, (or on something else if you catch my drift) just get this game. It's one of the only two games I have 100%'d.

I like Burnout 3, but I kind of prefer Burnout Revenge more. Burnout 3 is considered the best in the series, but I guess I might feel the same way if I had grown up with it. Don't get me wrong on all this, I still like the game. it's one of the best Burnout games, but even though Revenge was just an expansion of this game, I still like it just a bit more.
