Mario Kart DS

Mario Kart DS takes the best of all of the Mario Kart games and puts them together in a game people will still be playing when the next generation of Gameboy comes out.

In an age of increasing style over substance and companies trying to extract cash from gamers left, right and centre for new "services", it’s truly heartening to see a game done absolutely right, and the setup around it also done absolutely right. Great stuff, Nintendo.

Reason alone to own the DS platform. All of the fun that has been intrinsic to the series is intact, and the much-anticipated online component simply seals the deal. This is best game in the series by far, and perhaps the best kart-style racing game ever to come along.

Get Wii and 8 Deluxe outta here! We have the true best Mario Kart right here (imo ofc). The tracks are well-designed, especially Waluigi Pinball, Airship Fortress and Delfino Square. You can drive on a tank or an excavator which is really funny. Sure, the character roster is very small compared to future entries like 8 Deluxe and World, but that’s ok! I like the fact that you can create your own custom emblem, it **** that it never came back. The soundtrack is a banger, one of the best in the series! And the best part of DS is the Mission Mode, especially the missions at the end of each level where you can face against bosses, something that World didn’t do with the P-Switches in Free Roam. I honestly think it’d be cool if we can fight bosses and unlock them for our roster instead of just getting a pointless sticker. But enough said, Mario Kart DS is the best Mario Kart game of all time!

It's a good game, although a little overrated today. I personally enjoy it as a perfectly fine Mario Kart game, with a good roster, decent tracks, and goofy mechanics.

It has not aged well with its graphics, but what do I expect, its a Nintendo DS game. The tracks are not the best but there are some good ones. The character roster is excellent. The battle mode is amazing. And they should have kept mission mode in future games because it was so good. A good mario kart game but I don't see myself playing it again.

i would give this a 28% the graphics were terrible the previous Mario kart game had great graphic and then they give use this with horrible graphic the story is plain. The challenge mode is boring just a boring game in general

Every Mario Kart game is biased. I was playing multiplayer with my friend and I noticed whenever she was first there was absolutely no blue shells. When I was first I got absolutely annihilated. Plus it's all the same and little skill is needed.
