Tales of Xillia Remastered

If you are new to the series like i am then you gonna love this game. The voice acting is great and the story develops very quickly and you dont get the feeling of filler in the storyplot. The music is aight I guess, not kingdom hearts like but good enough to hear it while in gameplay. You barely skip any dialogues, they are all and feel important. Funny ones, serious ones, sad ones, happy ones... isnt that what theater is all about? The combats mechanics are kinda like ff13 and ff7 remake type but not as dynamic, yet good enough to play. The skills system and links between characters is great but i gotta say the use of the right stick to use commands is lacking, sometimes it doesnt respond. The left stick does respond well however, for that i remove 1 point from my score because gameplay is really important. I would give it a 9.5 cause well is $40 dollars, so some imperfections are acceptable. If you like kingdom hearts, you gonna love to jump into the tales of series. I heard some are better, and i am looking forward for more remasters.

Technically, this remaster shouldn't really have to exist; PS4 & 5 shoulda been backcompatible with PS3/2/1 games. But it wasn't. This remaster does a tremendous job with its QOL updates, esp. autosave - which saves you on unknown at too many junctures. As to Xillia itself - it does really well improving on Vesperia's aerial artes, given Milla vs. Judith. Makes sense given that Xillia is more a successor to Vesperia than Graces was. Jude's fighting is smooth and easy to control. Milla is more for the experienced. The character's social background is done rather well, as it what drives them. Jude's battle music is much better than Milla's, take note. If you're a Tales vet or a new fan, a good place to start! It's similar enough to older Tales games to not feel like as much a drop from Arise to Vesperia or before, but close enough that going to Berseria and Arise after would be easy.
