Jamboree's achievements will keep players very motivated to explore the entire game and its lifespan is surprisingly long, all adding up to an unforgettable experience and evidence that the Mario Party series has plenty of life to go on for many years more.

Jamboree tones down the overall quality of its minigames but shifts up the gear when it comes to charm. Maps and the overall spirit of the world now score most of the points, with a few enjoyable new mechanics and strategies. If in doubt, you can be sure that this is one of the better titles the entire franchise has to offer.

Will the Switch catch the GameCube for the number of Mario Party entries on a single system? Probably not. But if Jamboree is the last on the hybrid, it’s a great game to go out on. It’s a celebration of boards, and “Pro Rules” go a long way in making previous series’ complaints no longer valid. While there are a few minor issues, let’s face it: this game will sell millions, and deservedly so. Imposter Bowser and his boss minions don’t stand a chance, whether you’re a party of one, a group of local friends, or an online crew. Collecting stars hasn’t been this much fun in years.

I rate this a 9/10 its a great Mario party, but there are a few problems though. some of the minigames are bad, the graphics of the last game, Mario Party Superstars. was better, like it felt like you were on the board. and the Jamboree Buddy system is just unfair. like when you pass somebody with a buddy, you STEAL the buddy. and when you pass by the star, you can buy 2 stars for 40 coins, steal 2 stars for 100 coins, buy 2 items at once, that means you can buy 2 gold pipes for 50 coins, and yeah overall it is great, its a bit better than Superstars.

I feel that the vast majority of peoples negative reviews are highly impacted by the fact that this is just a "terrible" mario party. It is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade from Super Mario Party 8. The buddy system is beautiful. The point of having a 10-round mini game to decide who gets the buddy if a player can steal the buddy immediately by simply passing you is great. They have team play, customized dice blocks, and the mini games are complex and imaginative compared to how Nintendo showcased the switch with Super Mario Party 8. You will be extremely satisfied if you buy this game.

Stupid games, the effort to potential spoils ratio doesn't align meaning your wasting your time for most of it. Would rather watch food rot then spend 15 minutes trying to save Luigi for no reason.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is the biggest and most complete title in the series. It's a must-have for fans of the franchise, and a synthesis for everything a game needs for someone who wants to have fun with friends.

Very rock solid Mario Party game that is a much needed improvement from the first Super Mario Party. It’s nice to see Nintendo Cube (formerly NDCube) finally understand what made Mario Party so special.

Some might say that this is "another Mario Party game" but for me this is one of the best games I've played in recent years. The excellent gaming experience that Super Mario Party Jamboree provides is simply amazing, and if you like this style of games even a little, you are in for a simply wonderful experience.

One of the best and most complete party games in the entire history of Super Mario, hitting the mark with a great selection of minigames, options, and game modes.

Super Mario Party Jamboree is up there for the best in the series. It boasts the most amount of content from high-quality boards to characters to minigames. The variety is enough to carry this game on its own, but the quality of the core experience is exceptional as well with how each board works and the many different types of minigames. Though the additional modes, with the exception of Bowser Kaboom Squad, are all pretty much misses, they do nothing to take away from the top-tier solo and multiplayer party experience Super Mario Party Jamboree has.

Super Mario Party Jamboree combines nostalgia and innovation with five new boards, 110 minigames, and a competitive ruleset that rewards skill over luck. While the partner system can add extra strategy, you are quite dependent on where this partner is placed on the board. The CPU doesn't always behave optimally and sometimes makes frustrating choices. The additional modes feel a bit unnecessary, with the unbeatable Party mode standing out as the clear favorite. Despite the lack of major innovations, the game remains perfect for fun evenings with friends and offers enough enjoyment to justify the purchase.

It's the biggest Mario Party game yet, but fails to find the fun at almost every step.

It's mario party. The minigames are fun. The boards are solid. Even the the story mode was fun. I didn't even think it would have a story mode after the last game didn't have one. But yeah it's mario party. It's hard to do this game wrong unless you're 2012-2018 nintendo.

It's polished. But can we please get something new and exciting from Nintendo franchises, for once?

I would buy the game if Nintendo removed the forced Joy-Con usage. Yes, you can play the game with the Pro Controller and it's much better in that point as the previous Super Mario Party. But some games are just locked if you don't want to play with Joy-Cons. It makes no sense, because the Pro Controller has the same abilities like the Joy-Cons. Motion controls should be optional and only support the player like fine aiming in Zelda BotW. But it seems that the mini games with motion controls, could be also played with regular inputs too. I also don't like luck-based mini games where someone random wins. I am a human being and not bread. I hope the next Mario Party will be better.

All games should be playable with the Pro Controller! It also has a gyro. And all motion games could also be played with regular inputs. Being forced to use the Joy-Cons is brazen and pointless.
SummaryGet ready for the biggest party yet in Super Mario Party Jamboree for Nintendo Switch. From running through merry-go-rounds to motion-control minigolf, this jamboree is jam-packed with over 110 minigames – the most of any Mario Party game to date! With seven boards in all, you can go with the flow in Goomba Lagoon, search for stars in Ra... Read More
