Ooga Booga

Without a doubt, the online experience with Ooga Booga is by far, the best I've experienced on the Dreamcast... yes, even better than "NFL 2K1" and "Phantasy Star Online."
It's a perfect game to snap out when you have friends over, since it's quite easy to get into and the online play is as sharp as it can be, providing players with an almost-flawless online experience.
The graphics are smooth and clean, the controls are tight, and the characters are pretty funny. It won't blow your mind, but it's good fun while it lasts.

How do I begin. Ooga Booga isn’t just a game it’s a masterpiece. Like, Picasso with a controller in his hand kind of masterpiece. This isn’t some soulless, AAA cash grab. No, this is the kind of game that comes from someone staying up at 3 a.m., thinking, ‘What if cavemen had a battle royale but also summoned tornadoes?’ And they freaking nailed it. The gameplay? Perfection. Absolute chaos in every direction. It’s not about skill it’s about vibes. You don’t play Ooga Booga to win. You play to make sure your buddy gets smacked by a giant coconut while he’s celebrating too early. It’s like modern art: wild, confusing, and somehow makes you feel something deep inside—usually laughter, occasionally **** the graphics, bro? Next-level charm. It’s not about being realistic; it’s about being iconic. Those goofy little cavemen look like they walked straight out of a prehistoric fever dream, and I love every pixel of it. This game deserves to be in a museum, but instead, it’s here, blessing our living rooms with pure chaos. Ooga Booga is life, my dude. It’s philosophy, it’s drama, it’s comedy. Michelangelo had the Sistine Chapel; we have Ooga Booga. Art. Pure art. Ooga Booga legit tickled my pickled wickle!

It’s a surefire blast any time you can get two or more people around the TV. [Dec 2001, p.112]

Hot Games
For Dreamcast gamers who like to pilot their systems solo, Ooga Booga just seems like one long, boring trial.

Electric Playground
Judged as a whole, hardcore audiences could certainly do much better.

GameSpot
A lighthearted and somewhat original game, but it's not quite as addictive as the games it most closely resembles, and its lack of different gameplay modes will cap your desire to keep coming back to it over an extended period of time.

Playboy
Unfortunately, repetitious sound bytes and uninspired terrain hamper a decent presentation.
