It's a great 3D Mario with fun exploration and gameplay. It can feel overwhelming at times, but otherwise it's pretty great.

Super Mario Odyssey is pure fun from beginning to end. Mario controls perfectly, every kingdom is full of creative ideas, and Cappy adds much more variety than I expected. Some moons are too easy or repetitive, and the main story is fairly short, but exploring and mastering the movement stayed enjoyable long after the credits. One of the best 3D platformers ever made.

Oyun 2kişi oynarken çok daha eğlenceli ama oyun süresi biraz kısa ve fps bana 40-50 fps arasında gidiyor gibi hissettim. Oyundaki kostüm seçenekleri fena fazla. Bana göre en değişik mario oyunu ama oyunun fiyatı kadarda iyi değil.

Jogo fantástico! Achei democrático, pois permite que pessoas que não possuem tempo para dedicação ao hobbie, como eu, consigam avançar no jogo e explorar tudo que ele tem a oferecer. Muito divertido poder se transformar em outros personagens a cada fase, descobrir luas escondidas, colecionar trajes, vencer chefões, revisitar a estética e desafios em 2d. Enfim, o videogame em seu estado mais genuíno e criativo. Sem firulas, apenas gameplay imersiva e intuitiva. O mesmo Mário que nos conquistou há 40 anos atrás, nos reconquista em Super Mário Odyssey. Nota 10.

Everything you could hope for in a Mario game turned up to 11. Easily the best feeling Mario game ever

Just so good its freedom in the game is so good and i love the story and boss fights are kinda hard but easy which makes then fun and i also like other kingdoms are alot different from eachother and overall just a very chill game to play

This is honestly my personal favourite game of all time. The controls are the most versatile of any Mario Game, there's hundreds and hundreds of moons to collect, and lots of mini games with a high score system, and Cappy is such a creative gimmick

Can't believe I bought this game in 2024, wish I got it earlier, one of my all time favorites and easily the best Mario game ever as of 2026.

Easily the best 3D platformer ever made. There's seemingly endless content densely packed across a wide variety of locations, with new mechanics constantly being introduced.

From the vibrant colours, to the whimsical characters and the sheer amount of secrets to find; it gets me excited and hooked the same way Super Mario World did way back when. This game packs so much charm (as every mario game does) and like the greatest Mario games hides a decently challenging game under it's cutsey exterior. Playing this game with my son feels like im sharing a snapshot of my childhood with him. Why did I come to the Switch so late?

A lot of fun I enjoyed most of the different worlds but I hated metro world felt so out of place to me.

It is very creative level designs and fun theme’s but kind of too easy i finished the game in 10 hours could be a bit longer but good game and good first 3D Mario game

This game makes all other 3d platformers cry in its awesomeness. This game is the best 3d platformers ever made in terms of controls. The only problems with it is the kingdoms. Most of them are kinda lame and the ones that are cool feel like a fever dream to how isolated they are. New Donk City is a cube pillared 200 feet high with a city on it, Luncheon kingdom feels as lost as Lost Kingdom in its sea of soup. If this game wasn't so dang good it would ****.

Adding cappy is genius. The exploration is awesome. And they really laid into the post-game for this one.

This game is great. While the story is relatively simple, this is normal for Mario games, and this game actually has the best story out of any Mario game I can think of. Outside of story content, this game has so much to do. Even 2 years after getting this game, I’m still not really finding myself bored when I play this game. And the mechanics are so intuitive, even I’ve started learning some speedrunning tricks. Overall, this game deserves its title as one of the best games of all time.

For me, Super Mario Odyssey is generally a good game, but, for me, there's a little problem: the excessive amount of collectibles. In my opinion, 883 moons and the purple coins is too many for a casual player (and even to the experts) to collect. It turns boring to collect every moon after a certain time. Because is to many! At least, the other parts of the game are almost perfect to me.

When judged by modern gaming standards outside the Nintendo bubble, Super Mario Odyssey is a highly overrated title that falls short in many areas. The game suffers from a practically nonexistent story, dreadful camera controls, and empty, boring sections within otherwise quite nice-looking worlds. The biggest flaw, however, is the mind-numbing repetition: hunting for hundreds of Power Moons quickly becomes tedious due to repetitive placement formulas, and the constantly recycled bosses represent the absolute pinnacle of developer laziness. The only major saving grace is the brilliant and fun cap-throwing mechanic, which allows you to possess enemies and utilize their specific abilities, but this alone isn't enough to rescue the overall experience.

Awsome game, not too hard but also not too easy, lots of content, finishing the game is fairly simple, but 100%ing it is the true hard goal to accomplish, which is pretty much a perfect game design

What a rebound from the Wii U era! Such vibrant worlds, such unique capture abilities, such beautiful graphics, such great everything! This game has it all. No Mario game is like this. Jumping around this game is just a blast. Who knew collecting moons would be so fun? The Cappy mechanic is also very great. Possessing objects or animals to solve puzzles, explore, or just to fight other enemies is such a excellent premise. I'm surprised it's never been done before. You can just tell the amount of love and care that went into this game. Wish more AAA games were like it.

Actually this is my first mario game not including mario kart games . I had enjoy but mario odyssey is overrated . There are many game i had enjoy when i playing more than mario odyssey . However , this game is awesome . This game has one of the best level design . Developers are genuis how they can find the ideas , still i don't get it . You can do everything what you imagine . Also graphics still unmatched maybe pixel density not sufficient but color palette is gorgeous and so cute . The story mediocre , at least you aren't watching 10 minutes cutscene . A solid 8.3/10

Absolute masterpiece, if there's any must play game for the Nintendo switch, this is it. This is the culmination of the greatest minds in Nintendo, there is no game quite like this one, and there is no game as magical as it.

Bought this game when it came out back in 2017, along with the Nintendo Switch. The experience of playing this game for the first time is unforgettable. Don't know what to say, this is one of those games that is just perfect in every aspect. All the worlds, even though appeared in the other games in similar form already, are still so interesting. The soundtrack is another highlight, with many great and now nostalgic tunes. The bosses are fun as hell, every single one is so entertaining. Great game, **** amazing, 10/10.

Just about everything. The new ability to throw his cap works very well and is not gimmicky. It's nice to see a return to the 3D sandbox style Mario game after a 15-year hiatus. As someone who likes video game soundtracks, I thought this one was lacking compared to previous Mario games. This game has an astounding 999 moons (equivalent to stars or shines) to collect and I got them all. It was generally fun, not tedious, because the variety of activities or missions is amazing and they are all unique. The bonus stages are very fun and creative. Now, I don't think Odyssey will be as memorable for me personally as SM64 or the two Galaxy games, but it is still absolutely worth the time. It will be interesting to see how Nintendo can possibly make a superior Mario game in the future, since Odyssey has a very perfected quality to it. I really don't see how it can get better, but I'm willing to be surprised.

This is my first open world mario game. I think its the only open world mario game. Actually it is a collection of mario levels clubbed in the open world, but you have a choice to play them in any order. Or you can just chill, there is no time counter. The music playlist is awesome. The story is awesome. There is even more to play even after you complete the game and I have even heard there is another true ending.

Super Mario Odyssey is a great platformer with creative worlds, smooth movement, and one of the best control schemes in the series. The capture mechanic adds a lot of variety, and there is always something new to discover in each kingdom. However, compared to Galaxy, Odyssey feels like it lacks some of the magic that made that game so special. The two games share a similar sense of adventure, but Galaxy's atmosphere, soundtrack, and overall vibe feel much more memorable. Odyssey leans into a brighter, more playful style that can come across as a little more childish, while Galaxy had a unique sense of wonder that gave it more personality and soul. Odyssey is still one of the best Mario games ever made, but it doesn't leave the same lasting impression as Galaxy.

Mario Odyssey est un jeu totalement nouveau qui révolutionne à la fois sa licence, mais le platformer en général. Mario Odyysey s'est écarté des platformers traditionnels comme je les appelle dans lesquelles l'aventure est extrêmement linéaire. Il propose semi-openworld dans lequel un ordre est obligatoire dans l'histoire mais où chaque mondes sont ouverts ce qui laisse une grande liberté au joueur. Cela nous donne une expérience unique. De plus, le personnage de Kapi nous apporte une diversité de gameplay très large, très agréable et totalement nouvelle. Les transformations permettent de créer un nombre de mécaniques absolument immense. Ce jeu est donc totalement nouveau et est pourtant génial. Un 10 est pour moi totalement mérité.

I first got this game on Christmas 2017, along with the Nintendo Switch itself and many other games. But this one stood out to me alot, and has even grown on me more and more over the years since i've grown up. The graphics, the music, the unique battles and everything about this game is amazing to me.

This is a really fun and a amazingly smooth with movement game. It is a great return to open 3D Mario after SM64 and SMS doing them a service, although still giving a lot of creative spins and ideas. Other things i like about SMO is; The music, the characters, and the references. But for some reason I don't know fully why, but it feels hard to come back to this game sometimes. Also some parts of the game feels like it is trying too many different art styles that don't land, and that it should maybe just stick to one theme.

One of the greatest platformers ever. Fantastic world design and Mario has never felt better to control. Only minor complaints is that the game isn't very replay-able, and most moons don't require much thought to collect.

Playing this game was a great experience. It has interesting gameplay, many different locations, and good graphics for the Nintendo Switch. I'd definitely recommend this as the first game you should play on this console!

Honestly, I'm really confused about this game, because it's the only one that makes me feel this way. When I first discovered Super Mario Odyssey, I loved finding all those Moons, experiencing the story, and so on... Honestly, if someone told me, "You can rediscover one game exactly as if you were playing it for the first time again because I'll erase all your memories of it. Which one would you choose?", I would answer without hesitation, "Super Mario Odyssey!". And yet, this game is far from being my favorite Mario. For example, nowadays, I much prefer replaying 3D World. So why is that? In reality, I don't really know myself, but I'll try to explain it as best as I can. Yes, this game is objectively exceptional and has a massive amount of content, but maybe that's ultimately what I dislike about it. I really don't like the extremely high number of Moons, but not because it makes rewards feel less meaningful, no, it's for another reason. When I first heard this criticism of the game and then played it, I thought to myself: "How can anyone complain that there's too much content?", but it was only when I replayed the game after finishing it that I understood. First of all, you should know that I'm not a huge fan of open-world games, and, to me, most of SMO's kingdoms are semi-open worlds. When I replay the game and enter a kingdom, I think back to all the Moons I collected the first time around, and I end up feeling completely overwhelmed, to the point where the sheer number of Moons makes my head spin. After finishing it once, the game no longer has the same flavor because, in my opinion, it's like finding yourself in front of a mountain of homework and not knowing where to start, unlike a first playthrough where you simply explore by instinct (okay, I'm exaggerating a bit, it's still more enjoyable than homework). A lot of things bother me about this game beyond that: why is the co-op mode so bad? Seriously, is it really that difficult to simply add another player on the screen? Most of the bosses are bad. The Broodals are a chore to fight because their battles are bland and uninteresting. The few other bosses are more interesting, but they're not exceptional either. The final boss (which you fight twice) receives almost no improvements between the two encounters, which makes it really boring. The truly interesting ending is what happens afterward (which I won't spoil here). The story is very bland, just like in almost every Mario game, but when you look at the rest of the game, it really stands out in a bad way. On the other hand, I think this game has a genuine aura (just like the Galaxy games before it) thanks to its jazzy and catchy soundtrack. I still listen to its music today. Getting 100% completion is very tedious, with some Moons being genuinely awful. Mario's movement options are incredible, and probably the game's greatest strength. Objectively, this game is very good, but I don't love it as much as most people do, to be honest. Huge amount of content, many different levels to explore and have lots of fun in. Had been my first Nintendo Switch game and I am glad it was. If you enjoyed DK Bananza, play this for sure.

The best controlling video game of all time. The best graphics this series has ever seen. The most creative game mechanics ever. No game will ever top Super Mario Odyssey.
