Unlike other 3D Mario games, this one I found to be way too overrated. The controls are the worst any game is, and that's always the most important factor, or at least one of them, this also means you can't skip cuisines, making this far too tedious to replay for absolutely no good reason; the level structure is also very boring as it takes a weird middle ground between the Exploration games like SM64, SM Sunshine, SM Odyssey, and Bowser's Fury; and the linear games like SM 3D Land and SM 3D World, I love both artstyles quite a bit, but not this weird middle ground; most of the power-ups are also not that fun to use, the spin attack is not as interesting as Mario Sunshine's FLUDD, or Mario Odyssey's Cappy. The only redeemable but not major enough part is the atmosphere and music

This is honestly my personal favourite game of all time. The controls are the most versatile of any Mario Game, there's hundreds and hundreds of moons to collect, and lots of mini games with a high score system, and Cappy is such a creative gimmick
