The best worst game I’ve ever played. The mechanics and some of the animations aren’t the best, but no Star Wars game has given me that feeling of being in a galaxy far, far away quite like walking into a cantina in this game.

I played Star Wars Outlaws through my PS Plus subscription. I didn’t have high expectations, so I was all the more pleasantly surprised. The gameplay loop—riding speeders, exploring the area, climbing, hacking, shooting, sneaking, giving orders to the Nix, and flying the Trailblazers—was incredibly entertaining and a ton of fun. The open world is beautifully designed and isn’t cluttered with question marks on the map. Some missions arise dynamically as you listen in or pick up on information. Both story DLCs further enhance the experience. I highly recommend it. I’d be thrilled to see a sequel.

I feel it's a very solid game, the graphics are top tier, as we're used to from Ubi, and the gameplay and quests are pretty decent for this studio.
I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, but the atmosphere is perfect, the fights are like 6/10, but otherwise a good Ubisoft game for me.

To all the toxic haters review-bombing this game: you're destroying the industry. The gaming community really doesn't need people who trash great titles with pure negativity. This is hands down one of the best games of the last decade, standing shoulder to shoulder with masterpieces like The Witcher 3 and Mass Effect. I usually dislike Ubisoft, but the creators behind this project did a phenomenal job.Star Wars Outlaws is easily the most underrated game in history. People have gotten so used to generic trash that when something genuinely fresh comes along, they just can't process it.Massive Entertainment, thank you for creating such a gem!

"Star Wars Outlaws has a lot going for it. The core gameplay is fun, the story is engaging, and several of the side quests are surprisingly good. However, the overall enjoyment is heavily ruined by the character design. Most of the character models—especially the female characters—look remarkably poor. Even the main protagonist looks terrible in-game, which is baffling considering the actual actress used for the face model is very attractive. It could have been a much better experience, but these visual and character rendering choices really pull it down."

The game is boring, the dialogues are terrible, the main character is tedious, the stealth mechanics are clunky. The Star Wars atmosphere is nice, but otherwise, we have a mediocre game here.

They ruined such a cool concept.
Reputation you get for each crime syndicate eventually does nothing. The reputation system could have had so much cool outcomes.
The crew you gather actually does nothing outside of cutscenes. No shred of being helpful in gameplay. The droid in the main poster of the game (ND-5) could have added so much to gameplay but NO, god forbid this game have an ounce of fun in it.
So basically they ruined such a good and fun concept.

The environments in this game nailed the Star Wars atmosphere. Plus, it's just a fun game. The poor reviews this game received are a bit mystifying. I hear they patched in many improvements to boot. I really enjoyed my time getting lost in the Star Wars universe, filled with familiar aliens and tech.

Outlaws has a lot of positive traits, but some aspects that hold it back from being a great game. I like the reputation system with different crime syndicates, that give your main character positive or negative benefits with them, depending on your relationship with these syndicates. It does boast decent gunplay, cover mechanics, stealth, and a fun narrative. It does have some issues, including some idiotic guards who give up a bit too quickly, annoying lockpicking, and being bloated with side activities, but it's nowhere near as bad as I initially thought, nor is it as bad as people make it out to be.

It is so close to greatness it's actually painful. Exploration is fun, but overall disappointing when at the end the reward is a trinket or a paintjob, not useful materials or credits, which is frustrating when you're trying to unlock a better weapon for the ship. The ship, jesus, they could have added some character to that hunk of metal - how did BioWare come up with the Ebon Hawk and Ubisoft came up with this glorified bar of soap? The inside is awesome (especially the living room next to the cockpit, and it being a reasonably scaled ship) but from the outside? Mehhh.... The world design is gorgeus, but it's so easy to get lost or overlook the next opening or ledge, that I am regularly getting frustrated. The latest example is the spaceport exit (on foot) on Akiva, I was searching for the stairs on the minimap for 2 whole minutes... The mechanics are so janky, jumping from the grappling hook and either catching the ledge or not, failing a contract you're working on cause you get locked into a story quest during delivering the contract item, the freaking lockpicking minigame, the feel good food grabbing scenes polluted with horrible quicktime events... It feels like a series of bad design choices. When I was talking on the radio to ND5 and I arrived in the cockpit and the characters kept talking on the radio instead of switching over.... how hard would that have been to implement? FFS, RDR2 has the horse's balls shrinking in cold. The living world and the random encounters are awesome, except they turn into generic fetch quests most of the time. It's hard not to compare it to the Witcher 3, where even these had fun little stories written for them. Also, when I see a chest behind a door that I cannot unlock cause I haven't found the intel on a datapad lying around somewhere on the other end of the city... So Kay doesn't recognize a hidden button unless reading about it in a book? So unreal. Combat and stealth is actually fun, especially multiple the way approach every time I encounter someone, it almost feels like Dishonored - but the above mentioned mechanical issues constantly kick me out of the flow. I love Star Wars and I mostly enjoy this game, but it actually makes me sad how close it was to greatness. Just a bit more testing, a few better decisions and a layer of polish and it would have been actually great. Even today, the minor frustrating bits ruin the experience.

This game is a disgrace for the whole star wars series. Never seen something so bugged and brainless. I don't even understand how can someone in the critics score it a 100...

SW Outlaws was my first story game. And to be
honest I had fun. Shooting was kinda fun the same with stealth and fighting but all of that felt little bit too easy and mid. Open world give you Star Wars experience but is actually boring for no star wars fans the same with story. Mid game but because I’m SW it’s kinda cool

The best realized & crafted videogame Ubisoft have released in the past decade & the most meaningful Star Wars experience since the late 70's. Do keep in mind, the part of the gaslighting videogame community does always represent the absolute minority screaming the loudest out of mom's basement generating the widest sprectrum of attention with toxic negativity, because that's how we operate as a society on social media. This game is the perfect definition of an alternative Star Wars experience & one of the five games of this generation I had an absolute BLAST enjoying it.

After finishing the game in 42 hours, I have mixed feelings.
Pros:
- Gameplay is stealth heavy, but overall it's fun - you can go in all guns blazing if you wish
- Spaceship combat was good
- Wide variety of places to explore, Tatoonie in particular was great
Overall the shoot outs, exploration & spaceship/speeder access saved the game and did make the 40 hours fun for the most part
Cons:
- The story is absolute trash & all the characters are awful. Not a single one has anything interesting to say, no character development at all
- The snow planet was just a city, it would have been dope to speeder around glaciers so massive miss here
- No exp from killing enemies, the abilities/achievements section was alright but no depth to customize character
- Food minigame was so pointless, truly a microcosm of how vapid both the game and wider society is
- All the cantinas/cities were identical. Why make them all grungy and ugly, could they not have added some real "diversity" of affluent to poor city sections?
- Speaking of diversity, part of what made Star Wars great was the galaxy was human heavy (so it felt familiar) but had a wide range of aliens (adding to the exoticness). Here it felt like there were 100s of Rodians, Quarrens, Sulustan so all of these aliens lost their exotic tinge and felt annoying af. Another wider society reflection I suppose Having recently replayed KOTOR I & II, it's incredibly how awful the story and characters in Star Wars have become, the instigators of destroying this great franchise should be swinging from lampshades. In conclusion, play the game for some Star Wars themed fun while covering your eyes/ears to how truly awful the story & characters are.

Absolute dog **** game. Too much stealth. Basically an Assassin’s Creed copied and pasted into a Star Wars universe. Absolute bollocks. So glad I did not buy this game and that it was on PSN. So glad, especially the price they were asking for it on release. Total pile of ****.

In 35 years of gaming I have never given up on a game before finishing, until this one. I was stuck in a single room for over an hour.
Small room, simple objective to collect an object.
...but if you're seen, infinite enemies spawn.
and the mechanic to do takedowns only works half the time.
When you are spotted, the alert level never drops again (due to bug).
I tried to brute force it, but then found nothing at the objective marker. I watched a video after. The solution was:
1 - find an invisible button that opens the path.
2 - this takes you somewhere far away from the objective marker. What I conclude from this game is that it is extremely poorly designed, does nothing to help you find the objectives, and if you do anything even slightly off from the invisible path they've set out, you will be stuck... but you won't even know you're stuck because it doesn't reset, or tell you, or anything. You are supposed to let yourself die to force the reset, counter to everything every other game has taught... but it isn't even obvious because you can stay there fighting off guys for an hour or more no problem. Worst. Game. Ever.
I uninstalled after that section.

It's a pretty lackluster game. The controls are awkward, and the story is a bit confusing with all this faction stuff. The graphics are nice, but they're nothing to write home about.

Having started the game a week or so ago, a long time post launch and many a patches later. I LOVED this game, I hate that I’ve just finished it. The overall story is OK, nothing crazy, but the open worlds are fun with loads to do and see, oh and the game perfectly captures that ‘Star Wars’ universe feeling in my opinion. I like the relationship dynamics with the syndicates, combat feels good, and ship mechanics were also great. Like any game, there will be things to pick at so it would be pedantic at this point. The only thing to mention is there is still the odd glitch, and thing that needs patching. I’d love there to be a follow up, but can’t see it happening unfortunately, but play this game!

Let me start by saying that I got this game the other day (May 18th, 2026) while the Gold edition was 75% off on PlayStation. I just finished the "Upgrade your speedster" mission so I'm still very early game still but so far my only real issue is the wonky climbing/ jumping mechanics. There are a few graphics issues even while in quality mode(playing on base PS5 with disk drive) but that won't kill me or stop me from playing the game, the mechanics will.

Honestly a really fun game. I went ij with low expectations cause of ubisoft these days but i had a great time. The only thing i didnt not care for was the main protagonist. Her choices pissed me off and she was so inconsistent if she wanted to be charismatic or a screw up through the whole game. The supporting charactera were fantastic though.

I don’t understand the hate this game received at launch, I put off buying the game due to poor reception but have finally picked it up on psn+ All my expectations are blown, yes it’s held back by a few bugs and glitches and I suppose it falls under the genre of generic uncharted like games, but to anyone that considers themselves a hardcore star wars fan, you’ll find this game is full of love to the IP, rich with tiny references, Easter eggs and open world stages that look and feel like Star Wars.

Star Wars Outlaws is a hidden gem, and it’s painful to say that because it deserves far more attention and love. At launch, it was hurt by performance issues, along with the Disney and Star Wars reputation being at an all-time low—not to mention Ubisoft hasn’t had the strongest track record in recent years. All of that contributed to weak word of mouth, and I’ll be honest—it affected me **** now that I’ve finally sat down and properly played it, I’m genuinely ecstatic. This might be my favourite Star Wars game—and that’s coming from someone who’s a massive aficionado of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Those games lean heavily into combat; I’ve always been more of a stealth player, and this game fully embraces that. It lets you outsmart enemies rather than overpower **** best way I can describe Star Wars Outlaws is that it’s Cyberpunk 2077 in the Star Wars universe—same sense of freedom, adventure, and constant discovery. Everywhere I turn, there’s something new: an encounter, an opportunity, a detail. There’s so much care put into this game, and it deserves far more recognition than it got.I had a small moment where I came across someone cooking a meal, and I was feeding Nix—my little companion—through an interactive sequence. That didn’t need to be anything more than a simple cutscene, but instead it became a full interaction. That level of care keeps showing up again and **** of my biggest issues with Hogwarts Legacy—despite loving that IP—was how empty it could feel. You’d enter a cave, open a chest, and that was it. Here, a cave becomes a sequence: climbing, swinging, slicing, decoding—until you finally reach something meaningful. It feels earned. The game genuinely rewards exploration.I should say, I’m still early on—I’m only on Toshara—and I’m taking my time, building reputation with the syndicates like the Pyke Syndicate, Hutt Cartel, and Crimson Dawn. That system is fantastic, and honestly, it’s something even Cyberpunk 2077 didn’t fully deliver on. Here, your choices feel like they matter—and that feeling is what really counts.I haven’t even properly explored space yet or travelled to other planets, though I’ve had a taste of it in the demo—so I know there’s still a lot ahead. And credit where it’s due: offering a demo was a smart move. More games need to bring that back. It clearly worked, because it won them a player—and someone who’s now fully behind this game.I highly recommend Star Wars Outlaws if you enjoy adventure and exploration, or if you’re a Star Wars fan. If you’re both, you’ll absolutely get lost in **** one last thing—I really appreciate that this is a story about outlaws. Not Jedi. Not the Empire. It’s smaller-scale, more grounded—very reminiscent of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which is my favourite piece of Star Wars media. This game captures that tone perfectly: scoundrels, cantinas, getting lost in the ****’re Han Solo—not Luke Skywalker—and that’s a very refreshing feeling.

I heard only bad reviews about this game. But i wanted to try for myself because inlive star wars. I don’t understand the hate. The animations may be weird sometimes, but the concept of different criminal factions and your alliances with them was really cool to me. I liked it very much.

A great story and characters. Underrated and overhated. Story is short but the bugs and crashes hold this game back a bit. Even after all the patches. Worth playing but lower graphics settings to avoid regular crashes and playstation overheating.

Let me start by saying I put this game off for so long due to bad press at release, but I must say star wars outlaws has broken all expectations, I'm completely hooked, it's reminiscent of games like Uncharted, massive effect, hell it even reminded me of playing phantom menace back in the day, if you know you know. This game is solid, beautiful to look at, and most of all fun to play, I really struggled to find a problem with it, if I was to really reach I'd say the dialogue between Kay and some NPC's is a bit off putting, If you were the same as me and put this game off because of the bad press on release id push you to go and play it, it's relatively low priced now and if you're a star wars fan you definitely won't regret it

This game is incredible, and deserves much more praise than it received initially. While not perfect, this game delivers Star Wars atmosphere unlike any other, rivaling even that of the new Jedi series. The stealth is decent, and the combat is okay, but for fans of Star Wars, this is a must play.

Star Wars Outlaws is a game that deserves a more balanced reception than the one it got at launch.First of all, the Star Wars universe is clearly respected. The atmosphere, locations, and overall presentation really capture the spirit of the franchise, which makes the experience especially enjoyable for longtime fans. On top of that, the game looks gorgeous. Graphically, it is impressive and helps bring its world to **** its core, this is mainly a stealth-focused game, and I think that is important to understand before playing. The combat system is not bad, but it is definitely one of the areas that could be improved. The same can be said for the space battles: they are enjoyable enough and work well in an arcade-style way, but they remain fairly simple and could have offered more **** of the most interesting aspects of the game is its progression system. Instead of relying on a traditional skill tree, it uses specialist quests to unlock new abilities and upgrades. That choice feels smart and more immersive, because it encourages exploration and makes progression feel more natural. Another strong point is Nix, who is extremely well integrated into the gameplay and adds a lot of charm and personality to the **** story itself is fairly conventional and not particularly memorable, but it still works well enough to keep the player engaged. It may not be the game’s strongest element, but it does its job.Overall, I really do not think Star Wars Outlaws deserved all the negative criticism it received when it launched. It is not a perfect game, but it has many qualities, and its flaws are often exaggerated. If you are a Star Wars fan, this is absolutely a game you should play. I finished it in about 40 hours while doing a lot of side quests, and I had a genuinely good time with it.

It was cool to see the Star Wars iconography and hear the Star Wars type sounds and music score. The open world part was basic compared to recent games I had played like Horizon and Avatar. Which both have amazing local and a-life. While the heavy stealth orientated gameplay of Outlaws made for slow pacing versus those action heavy games. Outlaws just lack oomph visually and gameplay wise. So used to wiping out massive hordes in Horizon/Avatar that having to be way more cautious in Outlaws as Kay is a less durable type of character was frustrating pacing, DNF. Will keep the game for another try as some point. Have to be in the real mood to play stealth games these days (kind of done with that genre since MGS5).

One of the very best Star Wars games ever. I'm enjoying every minute. Immersive, dynamic, with vast exploration, fantastic main quest line, and great mini quests and faction system. I'm enjoying this much more than Jedi:Survivor for example.

It’s a fun game in the Star Wars universe. While I liked Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor, it’s a nice change to play a character that is just a scoundrel and not a powerful Jedi in that universe. The visuals are very good to breathtaking at times, story is a bit drawn out but the clear winner here is the environment (faithful to the Star Wars spirit) and atmosphere: the fights in space are amazing (but hard).

I have to say, it’s a great game. Fun gameplay, lively worlds that are very faithful to the essence of Star Wars, and cool characters.
I was honestly very surprised, because I didn’t expect it at all. Ubisoft has created a solid Star Wars game, and I wouldn’t mind playing a sequel at all. That said, I would have liked a bit more depth in the ship handling and exploration aspects.

Bought PC version and played end of 2025 / beginning of 2026. Not for people who look for a very difficult game to play, but Heaven for those who have been longing for a game with true StarWars feel, characters with ... well ...Character, awesome people graphics, great, emotionally gripping main storyline, overall great conversations. The Star Wars environments are simply awesome, immersive and visually fantastic, whether well known locations as Mos Eisley or places we never got to see in movies.
Makes it easy to look past the fact that at some point NPC dialogues and side-missions become repetitive. Definitely one of my favorite games in the StarWars Games Universe! P.S.: yes it does seem that the recent reviews have a very clear positive trend, so roll-out bugs may have bogged down reception.
I only came across a single bug on PC where I got stuck in a door-opening slice of a door that I had opened previously. The door auto-opened the moment I put the slice in again and I had to load an earlier save to continue.

I started playing Star Wars: Outlaws in January 2026, after many updates and fixes had already been released — and honestly, I was surprised by how much I loved it. As a Star Wars fan since early childhood, no other game has ever made me feel like I was truly living inside a living, breathing Star Wars universe the way this one did. I can understand some of the criticism the game received, but personally, I had an absolute blast from start to finish. The space travel feels fantastic, the speeder bike is incredibly fun to ride, and the stealth mechanics are accessible without being frustrating or overly punishing. I found myself genuinely invested in Kay and Nix as characters, and their journey kept pulling me forward. Visually, the game looks great, and Wilbert Roget II’s soundtrack is a standout — beautifully capturing the spirit of John Williams while modernizing the sound in a way that feels fresh and fitting. Don’t get me wrong: I deeply love and appreciate large, ambitious games like Elden Ring, Bloodborne, God of War (2018), Red Dead Redemption II, The Witcher III, and many more. But not every game has to be massive, genre-defining, or a “once-in-a-generation” masterpiece. Sometimes, all I want is a fun, immersive adventure set in the Star Wars universe — and Outlaws delivers exactly that. It may not be perfect, but it nails something incredibly important: the feeling of being part of Star Wars. For me, that alone makes it a genuinely enjoyable and memorable experience.

While it's true this could've been the Mandalorian game we actually wanted, the game that's here is actually pretty good. I mean much better than I expected it to be. Kay Vess is a pretty cool character as well, with choices you make in game really fleshing her out as a formidable character. The star of this game has to be the world though. So atmospherically rich you'd be forgiven for thinking you are playing a Mandalorian game. Speeder bikes and blasters all sound as you'd think they should, shady merchants make back door deals like some of the best Andor scenes, and brawls have that over the top feel from the OG trilogy.
Ignore some false criticisms that have been spread about this game and give it a go yourself. It may surprise you.

Much better than all the reviews suggest (as of early 2026). It has its weaknesses and flaws, but all in all, it's a very atmospheric Star Wars action adventure and the best Star Wars game in a long time. I just didn't like the sections that started from the beginning when mistakes were made, but they could be counted on one hand.
