Sonic 3 & Knuckles

This game amazes the more I replay it. Some of the most robust level design I´ve seen and easily one of the greatest platformers of all time and a fantastic ending for one of the most revolutionary trilogies on the media, even crazier how well this has aged.

This game is perfect 10/10 if you want an endlessly repayable game with amazing 16 but graphics and a soundtrack so good Micheal jackson himself worked on it this game is for you. It may be a little bit hard to learn at first but the more you play the better the experience you get. That's all I will say give it a try

I have played this game a dozens times. I beat it on phone, PC, sega with that crappy plastic gamepad, several times. I used fanmade port Sonic 3 A.I.R to play this on modern platforms and this game is just top-tier classic. The gameplay is awesome. Running through these open and beautiful levels feels awesome. Pixel art is magnificent, sprites are big and detailed, nicely blending with each other. My personal favorite part of this game is the storytelling and narrative. This is the most awesome part of this game. I really love how the plot is going in the background and love how levels are connected with each other. The story itself is awesome and as epic as sonic adventures games plots. If you want to start playing sonic games and don't know what to start with - this game is your choise.

This take always pisses people off but I just don't think the old Sonic games are that good. The whole point of these games is that it's fun to go fast right? But if you actually try to do that on your first playthrough you're just gonna die a lot by throwing yourself off of cliffs or into spikes or whatever. So I always end up being careful and moving slowly, which throws most of the mechanics that make the game fun right out the window, plus in this specific game there are a bunch of traversal gimmicks that don't seem to work as intended. Sonic just doesn't seem to be built for people who only want to beat a game once.

Oh boy, this game ended up being worse than I thought. Sonic 3 & Knuckles is glazed by everybody, and for a while I never saw that. I played the game for the first time, and I came out with the exact same thoughts. However I replayed it recently, and I gotta say, this game has went from "overrated" to "actually bad". Overall, 3/10, E Tier, would never recommend
