Best game ever made. Gunfire Games hit a homerun with this game. I hope they make many more sequels.

Aucun jeu ne lui ressemble et procure autant de plaisir, le best. Je l'aime comme on aime sa seule femme, car elle est unique et procure un bien-etre et un plaisir. C'est remnant 2, c'est le 1 en 4 fois mieux. PERFECT. Je veux un 3 je m'en fous.

It's good game! They kept the amazing formula of the first game, which I love!
But I think it's not memorable like the first one. It's also way easier and kinda repetitive.
They focused too much on replayability that they forgot to make it interesting, like the first game.
Too much variations of the same quest. If you don't do it in the expected way, you get out of the quest without any reward, which is also kinda frustrating.

To me, the game is way inferior to the first chapter. The plot is weak, and i basically finished the game with the same weapons. You won't find armors / weapons through the gameplay. You will just see drop rings and **** that's it, the rest is just material to craft. What the heck is this ? This ruins a big part of the fun, finding things by yourself. And even with secret areas, most of them drops a ridiculous amount of items anyway. No secondary missions too. The character walks way too slow like he is waling costantly into the mud, forcing you to press L3 to run every 10 second....obnoxious (this L3 to run trend must be STOPPED is unconfortable and lead the gamepads to drifting problems ).

It‘s an absolut blast. This game is a perfect soulslike shooter. It is intense, hard in most parts and extremly hard sometimes. The graphics and art style are stunning and the constant progress gives drive. The worlds are looking and feeling varied and each playthough is diffent because the order of these worlds is randomized.

If destiny and souls-like had a third person shooter with abilities and classes. super fun, great story, good endgame grind. Similar to Once-Human, I never felt this game strike home with its aesthetic. The time period and abilities, the world seems cluttered. Many ideas that don't mesh well together.

good story, good graphics, great gameplay. became repetitive after some hours, killing and running a lot of same enemies again and again. if i have to choose a genre for this game, i say Action 3rd person shooter.
very well optimized for me, i dont get the angry people have with this. 4070 super here and solid 200+fps with DLSS + FG.

Remnant 2 is a great souls-like game that feels good even after playing masterpieces like Elden Ring. It blends Destiny gunplay with familiar mob killing alongside difficult bosses to defeat. Gameplay: 9/10
Story: 6.5/10
Graphics: 8.5/10
Enjoyment: 8.5/10
Music: 8.5/10
Overall: 8/10 The multiplayer aspect is something I wish was added to more Souls-Like games, but unfortunately for me, my Remnant 2 partner **** at the game...Without getting into spoilers, the boss battles do remind me of Elden Ring both in their difficulty and unique character designs. They have some of the most distinctive and well-designed bosses I've played. When you get to [REDACTED] I loved the goofy character design for the mobs in that area, they were unpredictable and very well done. The bosses you fight are some of the most uniquely designed bosses I've seen in a game. This one boss, of which I will not name, is practically an IQ test of skill which was frustrating but also exhilarating to play and finally beat. The music for the boss fights is good, but the main issue with the game is its mediocre story, it fails to be interesting, especially at the start. It's not bad, it's just not anything groundbreaking. The narrative, especially in the beginning, feels somewhat lackluster and uninspired. The Final Boss fight... is probably the best and most unique one I've ever played and well done to the programmers who put that together. Overall, Remnant 2 carves out its own place in the genre, offering a Souls-like experience that stands tall with its innovative gunplay, fantastic boss designs, and cooperative story multiplayer. It's an engaging and rewarding adventure for fans of challenging games, even if the story might not hit the same high notes as the combat and visual design.

Remnant is a game created with exceptional care. Its atmosphere is meticulously crafted to immerse players in a constant state of danger. The sound design enhances this feeling, with unsettling noises coming from every direction. Enemies can spawn unpredictably, even behind you, requiring players to remain ever vigilant. The game offers a variety of outstanding encounters and hidden lodges that reward curious adventurers with valuable treasures. There are many beautifully expansive locations to explore, but it's easy to get lost in the labyrinthine environments. Remnant also boasts a wide variety of enemies, bosses, weapons, and tools, adding diversity to combat. However, these items are often difficult to acquire, requiring significant grinding, which is one of the game's biggest drawbacks. Another notable issue is the design of certain bosses. Many feature unreactable attacks, deal massive damage, and have overwhelming endurance. When compared to the slow and fragile protagonist, these encounters can feel frustrating and unbalanced. In my opinion, enjoying the game without mods can be quite challenging due to these factors.

It's not a bad game, just not perfect. The gunplay was good, but i felt a little repetitive in some point. I felt the world a little empty and a story was very confused. The campaign took 40 hours for me, I will try the adventure mode. I played solo, its a little bit boring at the end, i think this game was made for coop. If you can play in coop mode.

Realy solid Souls Like shoooter.
Somethings confusing in traversal to the maps since its using procedal generation but all in all they did a pretty good job.
Definetely one of the better Souls Likes out there!

It runs well now in its current state but the impressively unfun enemy design ruins an otherwise great presentation. While this game is a much less frustrating experience on Veteran or lower difficulty, swapping to Apocalypse difficulty highlights the confusingly poor design decisions littered through the game.

Combining shooting with soulslike dodging was a brilliant idea, and they certainly executed on it a lot better in Remnant 2 than in Remnant 1. Just like in Remnant 1: the writing is still lackluster, the visuals are still lackluster and often in a dreary gray scale, and the bosses are wildly unbalanced in difficulty (in particular the final boss is several times as powerful as any other boss in the game, and you would need to lower the difficulty when fighting the final boss by multiple difficulties in order to even it out). That aside, the core gameplay is good enough for it to still be a good game.

Rating: 10/10"Remnant 2 is a masterpiece that sets a new benchmark in the action-adventure genre. Its replayability and build-crafting options are unlike anything I've played before, keeping the game fresh and endlessly engaging. The game's dynamic environments and compelling storylines pull you into a richly detailed world that is both challenging and rewarding. While the main story isn't something to write home about, it doesn't detract from the overall score because the world stories more than make up for it. They are fun to slowly discover as you go through and read the flavor text.
Despite being overwhelmingly underrated, this game should have won all the game awards just like the big triple-A titles. It's hard to play other games now because nothing compares. I can't wait to see what the studio cooks up next!
Overall, Remnant 2 delivers a near-perfect gaming experience, pushing the boundaries of what a sequel can achieve. A must-play for fans and newcomers alike!

So much fun. So many jobs to unlock, builds you can do, weapons to find and upgrade. The bosses are good. Tight gameplay. Ran well on my computer. I have to knock off some points because one of the worlds has a large empty wasteland approach to it and it leads to some boring long stretches. It hurts the farming when you have to got back to this world. The DLC is ALMOST all good. The final one that came out in 2024 was based on the boring world and they do try to fix it a bit but it still fell flat so you end up bored trying to traverse this dead world. I finished it but didn't want to farm and continue playing with builds and gear because of it.

I got stuck trying to find seeker keys. Normally on games I get stuck like bdg 3 or Elden ring I just u tube and figure out what I’m doing really fast. This game not the case left me confused never finding any boss fights needs better mapping structure with objectives accessible to look at. Can’t zoom in on map, which after 4 hours gave me a headache this game is smooth but disappointing because I never even tapped the surface. Wish it wasn’t so confusing the beginning two thumbs down.

The poor reviews for this game are undeserved, and seem to follow a theme: people who never played with friends, that rushed through the game treating it like a looter shooter and never figured out the puzzles, hidden items or classes, and rudimentary scratched only the thinnest surface of what this game is. This comment alone compelled me to leave my first review here ever because of the secondhand embarrassment I’ve felt reading these ‘Simpson’s comic shop owner’ cringeworthy reviews. “ What is not on a high level is the structure of the game. You literally have four different worlds, and one of them is like the sum of all the others (in terms of size and time to complete).” This comment is ludicrous, disingenuous, and exceedingly narrow. After over 150 hours in this game, and having only unlocked 6 of the 11 classes, there is IMMENSE depth and replay ability. EACH of the games worlds, and DLC worlds, can be replayed 2 to 4 times over, with each”reroll” of the world completely changing the landscape, stories, available items, boss encounters, puzzles. EVERYTHING. The attention to detail and dedication to reward players that think outside the box and truly have the creativity and intelligence to solve puzzles is a unique experience I have never encountered, at least to this magnitude. The worlds are each very distinct, enemy designs are engaging, and most of the bosses have a flavor all their own. The PLETHORA of weapons, special abilities, and unique classes lead to near endless combinations of play styles, with rich third person shooter AND melee elements. The fact that not only can you run two FULL classes at a time, with access to ALL of their abilities and passives, you can change them on the fly. You don’t needto make multiple characters to unlock everything, or do everything, you can get each and every thing in this game with ONE character. Playing solo versus co op also changes the game, as some secrets require multiple people to have access to, and they make drop in and out co op incredibly seem less to where you can go between the hub area and each of the worlds without ever disbanding your party. Playing on PS5, on a C8 model LG OLED, the game is beautiful, never dripping below a rock solid 60fps on balanced settings, and I haven’t had any technical issues to crashes to date. This is the first time I have ever left a review here, or anywhere for that matter, because I’ve never felt so compelled to share my experience with a game I’ve been amazed to have never heard ANY buzz from, or met anyone that plays it. Grab your friends, fly solo when you feel like it, and dive in. This game has something for everyone

Rushed through this game on the simpliest difficulty, but to be honest, I think I saw everything that developers are proud of or want you to 100% see. There are two reasons why I think so. First of all, hardest difficulty doesn't add extra movesets to bosses or exetera; it just increases boss HP and damage, so it's pointless to pick the hardest difficulty (if you want difficulty, complete it without leveling or weapons or play it on a dance mat). The second statement is that if you need to solve extra puzzles or find extra paths just to be revorded with gear or for the ability to see an extra boss or location, that means that developers do not think that it is important for players (or just are not proud of it). I say this because after completing the game, I only had the initial armor and one additional armor that was hidden behind a puzzle, with weapons situation is kinda better. But now let's talk deeper about the game. First of all, it plays probably in the same way as it did in the first game. You have the ability to use different classes with their own abilities and start weapons (you can also use two classes at the same time). Visual and sound quality are also high. What is not on a high level is the structure of the game. You literally have four different worlds, and one of them is like the sum of all the others (in terms of size and time to complete). The plot is a generic world-savior guy do his job with a happy ending. As for the strong part its ability to fully complete this game in coop, this is one main reason why you can choose this game to spend your free time, or if you are a fan of the previous game or if you enjoyed and completed all other Soulslike games.

Idk why people are giving this game a bad review. Like any RPG, there's always a grind of some sort, so IDK why people complain about something you sign up for. It's like why get a Dark Souls game, if you aren't willing to put in the time and effort to overcome obstacles.
The storyline is great. The game rewards those who take the time to explore and think outside of the box (plenty of secrets to be found). And beyond that, it's different in the sense of originality in comparison to other games of the same genre. Lol I read the other reviews on here, and think, " Wow, there are some huge buzzkills out there who think they deserve to be a critic when they wouldn't know **** game slapped them upside the head

Its a really good mid tier looter shooter with a grind heavy end game that isn't very rewarding. The story is a fun romp that requires a little grinding and exploring and ends pretty abruptly with a fight on a world you'll wish there was more of and wont get, against a boss that used to be super hard and I think is meh now. The guns and mods are cool, and I don think I really started disliking the game until the 2nd DLC which disappoints in almost every area. Difficulty is relegated to super damaging slam downs in super tight corridors or cliff sides to insta kill you. The bosses felt about the same before got to a giant saw thing that just annoyed me to no end. it used to be cool experiments in a gnarled post apocalyptic worlds of craziness, now it's that one Indiana jones movie for better or worse.

This game very nice quality action and deep plot but requires dlss for 60 fps due to insufficient optimization and there is black bars in cutscenes. I played on first difficulty, it's hardcore in this game with some bosses, especially the final one. The game matches the design in terms of difficulty and the name of the difficulty, as for me, i didn't replay it often, but several bosses are problematic, especially the last one, i beat him for 2 hours, alone. (I played as a medic and healed myself the whole game..) :) The game very quality i immediately felt the convenient controls realistic pleasant graphics and melodies, supports PS5 gamepad and has a good balance of light and dark fantasy, the genre that put me off in this game I really liked, with great deep story, very interesting visual style with very good soundtracks, many mobs and bosses with different tactics and ideas and fairly simple gameplay mechanics - more alive and plausible than Resident Evil, I’m not comparing these games, I’m just trying to explain the possibilities and feeling of controlling the character, he’s more alive, he has a somersault, a lot of ammo and action, this is lack even in RE 4 Remake. No time wasted on pumping. I really liked that the helmet can be removed in the settings. Comfortable game. There are a lot of secrets, they are not needed for the main plot. I wouldn’t criticize the walls that you can cross if the continuation of the path was hinting somehow, it's stupid. Creating situations that 100% the first time or 2 times will force you to replay on normal difficulty even an experienced player this is a wrong decision - replaying kills interest and realism. I played the DLC, it's very cool, with puzzles, but I don't like the idea of multiple endings because it's very sad if you make some small mistake, especially you don't even have enough information to realize that it's a mistake and get a bad ending. I don't like replaying long games. I'm hinting that there are a few endings in DLC The Forgotten Kingdom. There is no save to chapters. The rating is not 10 because of the problems that I wrote and the game in general is imperfect - there is a feeling that the worlds are unfinished, as if these were sketches in terms of scale and the walkthrough of the plot was scattered in pieces, the last cutscene was separated and the most important thing was left after the final credits, many people don’t even know how the game ended, this is a joke on the players, why to do like that?? There are a lot of characters at the level of a meaningless secret that 90% of people won’t even find, it was in vain that the developers tried to draw and create them. Funny, pity, stupid. A game is not a job, it is not a project. Most people won't bother with the game at such an idiotic fanatic level. Especially if you see that one secret is meaningless, the second one is too, or it requires to much and you understand that the game is a waste of time in terms of a side quests. In addition, there are a lot of other games that require time and money, so games developers are doing games and set a prices absolutely wrong. DLC about the king, it is in the main game, you can just launch it without randomness, randomness is another minus. The last DLC is absolutely without a plot, a couple of lines of the plot and a boss that is better to pass with someone. The path to it is an incomprehensible puzzle (I will save you time: use air from the swamp to fly). Remnant 1 is a souls-like, you will replay there a lot, the plot and controls nice, but very stupid game, replay every step a lot.. (alone) Remnant 2 is the fixed and full version of Remnant 1, don't see any reason to play 1st part.

It's a polished, impressive game but not for me. There is a boss called Labyrinth Sentinel that provokes the standard "git gud" conversation, legitimately so in some ways, but it's the purest definition of "unfun" I have ever experienced in a game. Uninstalled, not looking back. Give me any Souls-like of any difficulty over this.

First off, every review and video about this game fails to elaborate on how it differs in terms of loot from the first game.
It is not a looter-shooter, weapons are still obtained from killing end level bosses exactly like the first one. Don’t expect much variation compared to what a looter-shooter is. With that out the way, it’s improved over the original. More checkpoints, guns don’t feel underpowered and new classes are good. The protagonist is a tad annoying at time abd the graphics are current gen. Still a lot of fun and more accessible than the first. But if you were mislead by the slew of reviews of it being a looter-shooter you find yourself a tad disappointed.

I loved the first one... Like 200+hours. After 100 on this one here s why you should not bother buying unless heavily discounted:
1) Itemisation. Ever kept the weapons or armour you start with in a rpg? No? Well, you might as well. Some of the starter gear can be almost as good as endgame gear... Armour choice is mostly cosmetic.
2) Generally bosses are somewhat well designed. However, the visual clutter, bad hitboxes (or insanely generous ones for some bosses ) throws skill out of the window. This is supposed to be a skilled based game after all. 3)The sound design on the Ashen Wasteland is an assault on the ears. Whoever thought that was good sound design was probably deaf. This point alone deserves the damn score.
4) All powerful characters of certain chromatic persuasion. Check 5) Meh story at best.
6) Bugs
7) Terrible Optimisation
8) Half the items do not synegise as intended Disappointing.

Great game, especially if you want to pull some funny co-op runs with some friends. Just make sure you know what you're getting into. Most of the negative reviews I'm seeing make me think people jumped into nightmare without having the basics down pat first. Survivor is the base, learn to shoot and play difficulty. Once the mechanics click, it'll likely be way too easy, though. With most trash mobs getting one shot and bosses dying quickly. The game is designed to be played multiple times, and so a first playthrough will be short. You have 3 main biomes each with 2 different main story lines, and potentially 2 mini bosses before a world boss. You also have a fixed hub world after you complete one biome and fixed end world after you complete the three random. The End world will always be world level 12 with the end boss at 14. Those two are static, but the fun comes from the side dungeons, weapons, trinkets, traits and archetypes you can put together to challenge the higher difficulties. Specifically, apocalypse is incredibly fun with friends. The mass mayhem that comes from hoard spawns when in co-op, the elites stacking, the friends panic rolling off the map in the puzzles! I love it!

Registered on Meta just to write a review about this **** game. Don't play that. Even solo. Even with friends. This game is full of bad game design. Starting from bosses which cannot be read almost all the time which leads you to taking enourmous amount of damage (50-70% of your max hp) every single moment. Traits are useless. Upgrading guns and stuff makes you even weaker, cause damage grows up with your lvl (boss damage, not yours, lol) and you can't upgrade your armor anyhow. Rings? Useless. Let's add 1000 rings with bonuses like "+2% ranged dmg if you haven't received any damage in the last 20 hours". Amulets? 2 of them are useful, others are trash. Same stuff with relics. Animation is INCREDIBLY long. I've noticed few times when bosses were just standing and waiting for me to use this trash. Cheese. This game is a country full of cheese. Dumb AI-director which is spawning mobs RIGHT BEHIND your back? Check. Random damage even if you dodged it? Check. Tons of backstab? Check. Unreadable bosses with teleportations, tons of aoe which cannot be dodged and almost instakills? Check. This game cheeses you like it wants you to delete it and play some good games. Souls games are the cancer of game industry. All of them without any exceptions. But yet still, souls games are looking incredibly sometimes. But this is the only pro against thousand of contras for playing this game. Don't play it even on Game Pass. If devs wanted money to be paid for this, I highly recommend them to make a game instead of jerking off on their workplaces and adding strong independent asian woman who saves the world (I'm ok with that, but this looks like a bad joke).

What an incredibly awesome game! I've really enjoyed playing it, and it's safe to say I've been hooked. I've spent around 50 hours in the game so far, mostly alone - but the hours with friends have perhaps been the most fun. The game is definitely challenging, but not as difficult as other "**** shooting is fantastic, and the way you can switch between classes (archetypes) is simply amazing. Even on the lowest difficulty level, I've died here and there, but that's what I like! Games need to have some challenge in them. Fantastic game, highly recommended to everyone.

Compared to Remnant: From the Ashes and its dlc, Remnant 2 fails. Mainly because enemies scale 1-2 levels above your character, you can't upgrade armor to counter this. You can't upgrade armor period. They removed armor perks. Enemies are cheap. I start my games off at a 10/10 rating and the madder I get, the lower the score drops. I play on the lowest difficulty for a reason. I actually want to play the game and not be a sweaty player. Sometimes I'm just here for a story, a story that Remnant 2 failed to deliver. If you're reading this, save yourself stress and money. Get Remnant: From The Ashes & all it's DLC. There's only 2 or 3 cheap bosses and you can actually play it. Remnant 2 is not a good game.

Неплохая игра для кооператива. Сюжет достаточно короткий, но в игре существует "рерол" мира, что даёт игре хорошую реиграбельность. Очень оригинальные и интересные секретки. Рекомендую ознакомиться.

Sadly this game have potential but... There is far away from being good. The experience is sometimes boring, sometimes frustrating . Let's start with the good. -+ The graphics they are not brilliant but looks good and some enemy design are really interesting. Okey the good is done, now with the bad. - The maps are really really annoying, big, empty and laberinthic, there is no guidance from one point to another, it's feel like generated by an AI -The game lacks from originality there is no single idea that feels fresh and original, every world and every history event feels like a bad copy from another great games/movies. -The progression, feels bad again, you don't feel like you are evolving on this game, no matter how much levels you increased, or how much you upgrade your character, the feeling it's like you are on your first step every time. -The history, okay this is catastrophic, the history again feels like it's generated by a free AI, I never care less from a videogame history, The world's feels unconnected and it's a mess. -The level design, no exist, the loot is poor, you only loot the shame thing "scrap", yes ironic.. My feelings playing this are like you walk in some procedural world's sometimes looks beauty sometimes looks extremely generic, shooting everything everywhere with no motivation than end this boring experience.

Fun co-op game, good bosses. Not a great ending, was hoping for a little bit more out of it. A bit annoying how many things you can miss, wish you could just do all the boss fights in a single playthrough without resetting the world or going back.

Mostly empty, soul-less clone of first game. I did research all levels and found 0 armor, Only one option that I would have to farm, probably long (blood moon event). Performance is terrible for a RX 6900XT and r5 x5600, graphics are terrible. Bosses are sometimes good and creative. That's all

this game is so close to being good. however, the wy difficulty is imposed is not fun. i played it on nightmare, so all is based on that experience.i fekt like there was too many opponents at once and the problem with that is especially that their attack windows are not balanced around one another. so oneopponent can attack you dodge, but because of a recovery anination other opponents chain attacks into that animation. so you can get dead locked just by using game mechanics. also there is too muchgoing outside of the screen. a lot of opponents spawn behind you and just chain attacks from behind you without any visual indicator. it is really bad, because the aggro is not properly balanced around what you see leading to a lot of deaths caused by things you are nozt able to see.

Great graphics and the worlds look absolutely stunning.
But very stunted movement and combat on PC - like a poor port. Very few weapons and they all need to be constantly upgraded to do any good even only a few hours into the game - so you invest in the primary 3 weapons and thus it gets repetitive very quickly. Enemies are decent and innovative - very different look, feel, combat etc. So a joy. But difficulty seem to scale with your development incl. weapon upgrades, so its constantly a fight to survive - no feeling of the char actually improving/getting stronger. So prepare to die, die, die again and again even on low difficulty. And this is reason for 5 vs. 9 score - I do not enjoy games which seem to get a kick of killing the player over and over again, with little options for improvements (you can start an acade world and play that to improve - the same - again and again... not a good option). It feels like a Souls game and I do not mean that in a positive way. Story is good - but so was Remnant 1 and they are basically just continuing it in a wider scope. So nothing really new there.
