Rough around the edges would be an understatement. Sadly, it's just hard to find a reason why you should play Rekoil, given the abundance of choices in its genre.

Rekoil is a banal title with poorly implemented features, confusing UI and ugly aesthetics. I can appreciate what Plastic Piranha tried to do, but sadly they have failed to deliver on promises of balanced, competitive gameplay – and even on some of the basic core mechanics of a competent FPS.

There's actually no one online to play Rekoil, and that's because the game was broken at the time of its release. Many problems were solved, but the experience is still dull and uninspiring.

The dev's thought this was 1990 for some reason. You just can't release a buggy game in 2014 and expect good reviews. There's nothing going for the game, and if you even bothered to watch those interviews with the developers, they literally had nothing to say about the game. They couldn't give people one reason to play this game over anything else other than 'It's a fun old school fast paced shooter. Just you and your gun' And boy did they really mean it. Small maps, 0 players. Game went on sale for half a dollar because of how bad it was. 505 blatantly lied to people about the game being actively worked on even when the developers themselves stated they were no longer working on the game. This game is not worth your time or your money

Wow, the biggest problem with this game is the poor execution on a PROVEN game type. CS clones are pretty abundant, and hell if you are really interested in trying something new, you could try ones that are much higher rated than this. I'm pretty embarrassed to have spent money on this product. The frame rates drop off and pick up all the time. The game lobby was pretty barren at all times when I played. The handful of players that were on were all disappointed with this game.

Multiplayer-only and mod-oriented, Rekoil offers visuals and online features which are too under-developed to be popular among the FPS fans. Not surprisingly, the servers are almost deserted already.

actually awesome! If you like me been searching for an oldschool styled multi fps? give this game some time and you will be hooked! rekoil is actually the type of game I have been searching for a long time, ever since the decline of my all time fav multishooter vietcong from around 03 I been missing a "military" styled fps with these kind of large arena maps and the freedom rekoil offers in them, confined yes but not linear and still good size to make the action fast paced, take your time to test out the weaps and learn how to handle them once you do I learned this game is actually awesome!

game runs good had to turn off a few things getting 60 frames while recording server browser is really fast and get to talk all the people in that menu before joining a server so u don't have to SHIFT TAB all the time the option to make ur own server and make mods with steam works game is like between CS and COD without the unlocks perks and mini map which is a plus about 40 weapons to choose from even the LMG are pretty good a good game for the price

There was more to the classic shooters than speedy movement and accurate guns, which is just about all Rekoil has going for it. The rest is a mess of bugs and bad design choices.

If you want a multiplayer-only shooter without spending $60, there are plenty of options for cheap (Gotham City Impostors) or completely free (Team Fortress 2). Normally, this is the part of the review where I’d reiterate that you should not play Rekoil under any circumstance, but from the abundance of deserted maps I saw, it seems that most gamers have already received that memo.

The core game mechanics are pretty solid lending themselves to fairly fast paced gameplay. Some launch time bugs and minor game balance issues hold it back a little bit, but an emphasis on and actual release of mod tools (something fewer and fewer games are doing these days) gives me some hope for the game. Well worth the $15 price tag in my opinion.

This is a fun fast paced fps. I don't know why all the critic reviews are so critical of it.? If you just looking for a game you can jump in to and shoot some people up, then Rekoil is for you. The graphics aren't AAA but they aren't bad and imo the game is a really good time. Especially if you can talk everyone in to a knife fight.. Buy the game to support indie devs, play the game because it's FUN..

Ставлю этой игре оценку 2 из 10 . В игре очень плохая графика , но высокие системные требования , много багов и недоработок , ужасный мультиплеер не приятно убивать врагов . Не понимаю как 505 games смогли сделать такое говно .
