The dev's thought this was 1990 for some reason. You just can't release a buggy game in 2014 and expect good reviews. There's nothing going for the game, and if you even bothered to watch those interviews with the developers, they literally had nothing to say about the game. They couldn't give people one reason to play this game over anything else other than 'It's a fun old school fast paced shooter. Just you and your gun' And boy did they really mean it. Small maps, 0 players. Game went on sale for half a dollar because of how bad it was. 505 blatantly lied to people about the game being actively worked on even when the developers themselves stated they were no longer working on the game. This game is not worth your time or your money

I actually bought this game because it looks so bad that it might be good. It wasn't good. "hey man what are you playing? REKOIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, the biggest problem with this game is the poor execution on a PROVEN game type. CS clones are pretty abundant, and hell if you are really interested in trying something new, you could try ones that are much higher rated than this. I'm pretty embarrassed to have spent money on this product. The frame rates drop off and pick up all the time. The game lobby was pretty barren at all times when I played. The handful of players that were on were all disappointed with this game.

Probably one of the biggest let downs in a while. The vision for the game was great. It's a shame the execution was so poorly done. Sloppy, hastily thrown together game. If it were F2P it might be worth a a few minutes of play but as a paid title it just disappoints. there are only ever about 10-15 players online and spawning is almost always a guaranteed instant spawn death. Ridiculous.

actually awesome! If you like me been searching for an oldschool styled multi fps? give this game some time and you will be hooked! rekoil is actually the type of game I have been searching for a long time, ever since the decline of my all time fav multishooter vietcong from around 03 I been missing a "military" styled fps with these kind of large arena maps and the freedom rekoil offers in them, confined yes but not linear and still good size to make the action fast paced, take your time to test out the weaps and learn how to handle them once you do I learned this game is actually awesome!

This is a fun fast paced fps. I don't know why all the critic reviews are so critical of it.? If you just looking for a game you can jump in to and shoot some people up, then Rekoil is for you. The graphics aren't AAA but they aren't bad and imo the game is a really good time. Especially if you can talk everyone in to a knife fight.. Buy the game to support indie devs, play the game because it's FUN..

Why is this a thing? The mechanics are clunky, the game isn't optimized, the gameplay is lacking.... seriously, why does it even exist?????????????????

Despite the current five positive user reviews, I'd have to say watching the trailers for this game and live game play on youtube made my wallet recoil back into my pocket. This is a boring FPS. The market is so saturated with FPS, you'd have to really put a ton of work to even attempt at originality for this genre. This game might have done well back in 2000 as competition with Counter Strike, but does not stand a chance in today's market.

This Game is unfinished and you cant expect that everything in it is perfect they went to far by releasing a unfinished game but the way I see it is it only gets better from here the game has features that tons of games don't have that makes it unique I have a tough time understanding the map making but I try my best to make something for **** and giggles and eventually this game will be better then what people believe Ill be making a video review for Rekoil. its a game made by a new team I'm not to familiar with The company but they are using all feed back they get and they are striving for the success of this game I might not know much about Rekoil but what I can say is it will only get better from here. Also the price of the game isn't to bad you get more for 15$ then you get with CS GO and its fast pace action fun but it can be stale at time that's why I'm hoping the custom maps can spice up the gameplay let alone show off the map designers who make them everyone should be noticed this game is a work in progress. The core game mechanics are pretty solid lending themselves to fairly fast paced gameplay. Some launch time bugs and minor game balance issues hold it back a little bit, but an emphasis on and actual release of mod tools (something fewer and fewer games are doing these days) gives me some hope for the game. Well worth the $15 price tag in my opinion.

The game is fast-paced, there's no perks, no killstreaks...just you and your gun,pistol and equipment. The maps are really well made. I'm not into modding, but we will have to wait, pretty sure some crazy things will come out of it. Did I forget to say dedicated servers? Big plus right there. If the devs stay close to the community then this game will be played for a very long time.

game runs good had to turn off a few things getting 60 frames while recording server browser is really fast and get to talk all the people in that menu before joining a server so u don't have to SHIFT TAB all the time the option to make ur own server and make mods with steam works game is like between CS and COD without the unlocks perks and mini map which is a plus about 40 weapons to choose from even the LMG are pretty good a good game for the price

I have been waiting for this game to launch for a long time now. I have followed it through the entire development cycle and have loved seeing the game improve through each and every stage. The game runs smooth on my machine: I7 16gb ram 770 vid card The server browser allow me to filter and search for whatever type **** I would like to play. Once I find a server I can jump right in quickly and easily. I have plenty of choices right away for player classes and weapons. This is what I like the most. Everything is unlocked immediately and can be accessed. The big thing that excites me about Rekoil is the fact it has mod and mapping tools that shipped with the game at launch. All of the games assets are available to make your own little world. Long story short, if you want some fast paced action and like dedicated servers, then Rekoil is your game.
