There's only two good things about this game, the costumes, and the scratch tickets, but the rest of the game is bollocks, first off, the teensies, you have to collect these STUPID teensies or else you won't progress through the game, second off, the level design, the level design is so overly complicated that I died most of the time, and finally, the level with three teensies, THESE LEVELS FORCE YOU TO RUN AND ENEMIES AND SPIKES ARE ALL OVER THE PLACE, That's all

I played this game back on the Wii U and playing it again on Switch, it’s still a fantastic 2D platformer. This was my first Rayman game and what an introduction. It also includes pretty much all the levels from Origins. If you haven’t played it, I would recommend.

Rayman Legends’ levels are a major standout. They’re incredibly creative and full of unique ideas that set the game apart from most other platformers. The music is another strong point, especially the music-based stages. Those levels are some of the most memorable platforming sequences I’ve ever played. My biggest issue with the game is the floaty movement of Rayman and the lower skill ceiling. I tend to prefer platformers where characters feel heavier and more grounded, like Celeste or the Donkey Kong Country games, rather than Rayman’s ultra-floaty physics. I understand that preference plays a big role here, but it’s simply what I’m more accustomed to and what feels better for me. I also feel that the game doesn’t offer as high of a skill ceiling as many other platformers, which is a big part of what makes the genre so replayable. I might be wrong, I'm not familiar with the Rayman Legends speedrunning scene, but I also don’t feel the same drive to speedrun it as I do with other 2D platformers. In that sense, I’d compare Rayman Legends to Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Both have great levels and a steady flow of new ideas, but they’re the kind of games I’d need a couple years away from before replaying. Overall, it’s a very fun game, just not one I see myself returning to constantly.

Fun game with very good music, but may get boring after playing it for too long. It's fun because of its platformer aspect as well as fighting during the platforming. The speedrun levels are also fun and add a challenge. Sadly after playing it for more than 2h it gets boring really fast, even though the level and music design is very pretty.
Runs smoothly on Switch OLED.

Rayman Legend can be best described as a poorly conceptualized video game with a myriad of genuinely outstanding moments. There is no mistaking why many so highly praise Rayman Legends, since its combination of great (mostly) art direction, fast paced and challenging (sometimes) level designs and unique ideas offer us what was so great about Rayman.

Muy buen juego, sobre todo a mi me encantan los juegos que van por níveles y este lo tiene y la verdad es que los niveles son muy originales y de media dificultad, el juego está muy bien pero es verdad que hace un tiempo que no lo juego

This game is amazing. Art, level design, music, everything. There are a lot of content after beating the main levels, so, this game is really good. Also, I don't need buy Rayman Orings, because there are lots of levels from this one.

I forced myself to play this Rayman through until the credits, although I found it very lackluster in several aspects. I found the game very repetitive. The structure of most levels is the same. There is of course an effort to bring new level design features in each of the worlds (destroyable parts in the Mexican world, later on "infiltration", the enemies chasing you...) but they do not represent a real challenge. Most interactions coming on top of the basis gameplay consist of calling Murphy with the A button. Whether it is to move a platform, tickle an enemy or cut a rope, it basically sums up to "press A to continue the level"... The gameplay also does not evolve at all until the end of the game. The only new element in the last few stages is wall-run, otherwise it's the basic "run, jump, hit" all the time. Rayman feels like a soap, in the sense that he slips slightly when he stops running, no matter what type of surface he runs on. This is, to me, a weird choice of game design that makes some jumps irritating to perform. The only few levels that I enjoyed a bit are the speedrun levels, that start appearing about halfway through the adventure, and the musical levels at the end of each world (which are also speedrun oriented). These levels bring a bit of variety and challenge, and there is an incentive to replay them... unlike all the other levels that will be quickly forgotten once all their teensies are found. Yes, challenge is missing in this game. Apart from the speedrunning parts, the game is rather easy. Nothing even pushes the player to stay alive, there is no life counter. Jumping off a cliff is a shortcut to come back to the latest checkpoint, to the point where one would wonder why there even is an option to do that in the start menu... Besides the speedrunning levels, I think this Rayman Legends can only be fun when played with friends. You can play the whole adventure with up to for players, I can only assume that this is where the actual fun is. I also tried the Kung-foot and this was really fun, probably the most fun I will remember from this game. But that's a mini-party game, at most. In summary, apart from the speedrunning levels and the multiplayer features, I found Rayman Legends to be a bland, average 2D platformer.

The game is fairly repetitive, even for platformers. Rayman is easy to handle, but there's no difference between the different characters. The adventure is much more enjoyable with two players. A sequel to fix some of the game's flaws wouldn't go amiss.

Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition is a true gem. I do love 2D games and this one is one of the best 2D Platformers I've ever played. Finding the collectibles can be a true challenge. Musical levels are amazingly fun with great music. Graphics and soundtrack are **** you own a Nintendo Switch, this one is not only a must play, but a must-buy.

El mejor plataformas 2D después de super Mario, es sublime este Rayman Legends, la música de lo mejor de la historia de los videojuegos. Es uno de los mejores juegos de la historia.

HOLY HELL this game is GREAT, It's up there with one of my favorite games of all time. The gameplay and controls are superb. The soundtrack is also good and the rhythm-based levels are really fun! The game has alot of content as well! You got the main game, the back to origins levels, the murfys touch levels, and you got the challenges. This game is easy to pick up for beginners but it can get quite difficult at times.

Great game, but you can’t change the keybinds, which was quite disappointing. The game is a bit small, but it has lots of replay value. In my opinion, it‘s the second best platformer.
(Nr.1 is new super mario ds)

Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition is an updated port **** released in 2013. It features some of the most gorgeous visuals I've seen in a game with charm oozing out of every pore. Beyond the pretty lights is an incredibly fun and challenging platformer that never veers into being too easy or too hard. Incredible creative level design alongside absolutely phenomenal gimmicks that feel perfectly, this game is a masterpiece. If you love platformers, have a small interest in them, or have never played one, this is a perfect game for you. Please Ubisoft, give us a third.

This is fun. Simple sweet fun. Sometimes it goes on sale on the eShop for ten bucks. You won’t regret this for ten bucks assuming you enjoy solid side-scrolling platforming.

With better level flow, incentive for replayability, and a simply rocking fun time, the Rayman reboot sequel is everything you could want! (Except that the Switch version of the Murphy's Touch bonus levels are impassable due to their incompatibility with the gyroscope in the rotation segments, for some reason.)

Rayman Legend is the best part in the Rayman series, but I advise you to go through Rayman Origins first

Just wow excellent level design great challenges better than Mario's 2d platformer just go and buy it now if you love creative level design and challenges every day and enjoy rayman but some level design seems too uninspired and when it happens it's very noticeable

This game is a couch co-op gem! Family or friends can enjoy this together, and skill level isn't a big issue. Stronger players can carry the weight for less experienced ones. It does require working together to tag each other back in, and to coordinate the timing of when to all go forward at certain points. If one person tries to rush ahead and be too much of a hero on their own, they will quickly learn the value of teamwork. The soccer mini-game Kung Foot is a big hit in our household too. Also try the daily and weekly challenges!

This game is my favorite game of all time. The art-style is awesome, the controls on point and the levels each feel unique. Plus it can get really challenging, if you wanna 100% it, cause there's basically two games here with the bonus levels. I bought this game a total of three times. PS3, PS4 and switch and each play and feel the same

Amazing game with cool and interesting levels. You can spend hours upon hours playing this and you won't get bored whatsoever. There is this extra challenge for those who want it and i like that, satisfying rhythm levels with great songs.

I tested the game the first time on Xbox 360. This version has a new world, but I can't give 10 out of 10 as some games are better.

An amazing 2D platformer. I just love the art style on this. The level design and music are great. This game has been released on 1000 consoles already, but it feels so good on handheld mode on the Switch that you don't want to play it any other way.

This game has become my favourite 2D jump'n'run, kicking Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze from the throne. It might not max out the capacities of the Switch, but it has so much to offer: The main game, the Rayman Origins levels, the daily and weekly challenges, Murfy's levels which are played in handheld using the touchscreen and the Joycon's gyroscopes, the invaded levels which are the most challenging part of the game and finally the cherry on top: The music levels. (I even haven't tried the game in multiplayer yet, after what I read that's pretty fun). That's why I forgive it its almost non-existent plot and its hub I needed a few minutes to orient myself in. A real delight this game! I'm at more than 55 hours played and still haven't rescued every Teensie.

Great game! Especially the music-rhythm based platforms. Great visuals and amazing music score. Some platforms mechanics are interesting but others are weird and cumbersome. Some levels are easy but there’s some that are quite difficult because of the precision in the jumps. You’ll have to memorized the button combos: Example : jump-dash-run-jump,etc. Lot of extra content which has a replay value . It’s Overall great platforming game , had lot of fun playing this game.

Rayman Legends might be one of the best 2D platformers ever made, especially for a multiplatform game.

This is probably the best platformer i have ever played. I got it for 10$ when there was a sale on the e-shop and i don't regret it. I truly recommend this to anyone who wants a good platformer for a low price.

I’m not usually into 2D games but this one is just a joy. It’s challenging but not to the point you’re frustrated. There level variety and a fun soccer mini game. If you can get this for >$10, do it.

Literally one of my favorite games of all time. Super creative in so many ways. It's fun with friends, it's fun alone, it's just an overall blast. One of the greatest 2d platformers of all time and easily the best game in the Rayman Franchise.

I played this game twice (First on PC and then on Switch), and I still enjoyed completing it at 100%. The first Rayman I tried was on PS1, which was a nice game but difficult and at times frustrating. However Rayman legends delivers in being fun with the right difficulty to relax and play. There is no complicated story behind it though, but going through the levels with the right soundtracks will make you forget that part. The music is definitely something to mention. I still replay some levels to enjoy the rock songs. Having the possibility to play some levels of Origins is a plus. To sum up, the creativity was well invested in this game to deliver an amazing and fun experience.

One of the best 2D platformers I've played. I've gotten a little bored of the art style now but the animations are fantastic, controls feel responsive, and each level feels like an interesting and unique progression of the last. Unique and creative level gimmicks take center stage here and like in Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze these gimmicks often stick around for entire 'worlds' rather than being discarded after a single level, leading to an increased sense of cohesion and progression.
