The score I’m giving this game is highly conditional, relevant as it is to a particular niche of player. Those outside the niche won’t get it, and I’m not saying that to be smug - they’re right not to get it...Just this once though, I’m happy to be wrong.

If you grew up on a healthy diet of movies such as Zombie Flesh Eaters and The Evil Dead, like us, there’s a good chance you’ll appreciate the vibe that Night at the Gates of Hell is going for. This is yet another lo-fi horror that proves to be engaging and somewhat inventive, throwing caution to the wind in order to deliver an experience that’s unpredictable, sometimes horrifying, and often actually funny. Needless to say, horror fans should definitely consider checking it out.

A PS1-esque zombie game that is both hilarious and creepy. Inspired by the Italian horror films by director Lucio Fulci, it plays a little like "Resident Evil". Each level nails the cheap, sleazy atmosphere of late 70's and early 80's exploitation flicks. You'll explore interior and exterior locations for key items that will open doors or progress the story. And you're given firearms and knives to attack and defend. Finishing the game will unlock two bonus modes: Evil in the House of Dr. Fleshenstein and The Booty Creek Cheek Freak. Both are just as campy as the main game. Overall, I'd rate this with a 7.6 out of 10,

Fun game. I laughed a few times and also had a few scares. It's a tribute to PS one and horror films. Woke free.

SummaryFrom the sick mind behind Bloodwash, Jordan King, comes his latest experiment in terror. Inspired by the Italian zombie flicks from Lucio Fulci and Bruno Mattei, Night of the Gates of Hell promises to be a blood dripping, neon soaked, flesh rotting experience.
