The gameplay is real-time with no annoying loading delays. The controls take a few minutes to master, as you must use arrow keys and jump and shoot buttons.

A fun game. [Dec 2011, p.93]

In music, bad tribute acts play pubs and weddings: in games, they sit at the top of the charts.

the fun begins but goes rather fast as the game becomes grindy one of my all time favourite games and still think its well made especially for a 2011 game i would recomend for sure

The game is really beautiful. It is fun to play and you will find yourself spending a lot of time trying to level up. Even though combat is repetitive it doesn't get dull at all. The content you can unlock is massive and that is what gives the game its replay value.

Despite the hubbub regarding its similarities to Super Crate Box (due out shortly), when judged on its own merits, Muffin Knight is an enjoyable experience that holds its own.

While those who fell squarely on the side of Vlambeer in the Ninja Fishing/Radical Fishing debacle will likely be disgusted by Muffin Knight, there's still an original art theme, engrossing RPG elements, and the fun multiplayer as well.

Despite it's multiplayer shortcomings, Muffin Knight is a game that should not by missed. It's one of those games that just shouldn't work. But, all the elements come together to form a unique arcade experience that will be comfortably at home with the other great - and strangely quirky - titles on the AppStore.

Fun and frustrating in equal parts, there's a few too many issues to make the game wholly recommendable.
