With plenty of challenge and freedom to play the way you want, Mark of the Ninja’s staying power as one of the best stealth games available is a testament to its incredible design. Packed with all the previously released content, Mark of the Ninja: Remastered on Switch is perfect for first-timers, plus anyone looking for another playthrough.
Mark of the Ninja Remastered is a great stealth game that fits nicely as a portable time-killer. The gameplay takes every stealth trick from Metal Gear Solid’s book and translates them into two-dimensions wonderfully well. With that said, if stealth isn’t your bag then this game probably won’t be either as the over-reliance on its wonderfully implemented sneak system may feel a bit too repetitive for some. However, mastering a level with an objective in mind did make me feel like the badass ninja that I’ve always wanted to be.
Beautifully animated and a dream to play, Mark of the Ninja: Remastered rightfully stands next to the greats of the stealth genre. Intelligent design choices build the foundation to what is one of this generations best releases, let alone remasters.

A strong argument could be made this is the best stealth-based videogame of all time, outside of Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Thief 1/2, and MGS 3, it is hard to argue against it being top 3 if not the best. A unique, now nostalgic, 2000s cartoon aesthetic with great attention to detail in its art direction and animations lend a timeless aspect to this game. The vast arsenal of tools, playstyles, paths, animations, and progressing unlockables is perfect for creating a fun sandbox with stricter levels than say a Chaos theory, but maintains a level of freedom in multiple paths the majority of the time. Even then, when tasked with set piece/linear paths the "puzzle" can be tackled in so many different ways depending on your playstyle, attire, and tools. It becomes even more satisfying when the numerous enemy types play off each other and your choices perfectly, as well as react to your actions with great animated movements such as the frightened Batman Arkham Esc reactions possible. The narrative whilst, of course not being the selling point, is dull and passable but does have a somewhat interesting ending and twist if somewhat generic and none emotionally gripping. The cutscenes however are beautiful and create a decent sense of world-building, reinforcing the in-game art style as a perfect representation of the game making the immersion all the better for it. This game has been talked about much by those in the stealth community, but I feel it still doesn't get the recognition it deserves as being a truly great all-time game in both the genre and gaming. A near flawless experience that takes mechanics such as light/shadow from the classics prior, and places them in a modern context adding more and more compared to almost all competitors. If you have never played this title or perhaps are not sure based on the side scrolling format, give it a try as there is something or every stealth fan and it is worth supporting devs that produce games with this much polish and ambition. A must play for most.

One of my favorite games of all time, i love sneaking and stealthly killing in games. In any game if stealth is a option its the option i am choosing and building a game around stealth is obviously appealing to me. but it doesnt end there if game was just bare bone stealth game yea i would enjoy it kill couple hours init BUT THE STORY! Story is suprisingly good i would recommend playing until the end.

Aside from some small control issues mostly stemming from the fact that multiple functions are tied to the same button, Mark of the Ninja Remastered is excellent. It’s a smartly-made stealth game that oozes style while being packed with gameplay variety and depth. Playing this 2012 release today made me wary that it might show its age, but the amazing thing is that in 2018, this game feels extremely fresh. This ninja has been hiding in the shadows, waiting to strike on Switch, and the results are fantastic.

Mark of the Ninja Remastered is an utterly stellar stealth game and, six years on, it’s lost none of the magic that made the original such a critical darling. A strong art direction, engaging story, well-paced open gameplay, and a slew of extra content all combine to make for a near-flawless experience that you certainly won’t want to miss out on. We’d give this game a high recommendation to all Switch owners; it’s the best stealth game money can buy in the Switch library, and one of the best ones in any console library.

Still one of the best stealth games of recent years and an accomplished 2D platformer in its own right, with a near perfect balance of depth, accessibility, and bloodshed.

This is an amazing, fluid and well built 2D platform sneaky game. Sneaky cause you better off to be sneaky to make your life easier in this game. Controls are ultra responsive and it's a delight to play this game. I'm a bit clumsy and have a tendency to forget buttons control when I am being chased by a horde of soldiers... but that's on me. And that was my only issue with Mark of the Ninja: Remastered, which was not the game's fault :D

Bellissimo gioco stealth in 2D. Su switch poi è il gioco perfetto per le pause a lavoro. Lo consiglio vivamente agli amanti del genere e non.

Did not enjoy Mark of the Ninja at all. To much sneaking around and hiding. Price on Nintendo Switch was to steep as well. Fans of the sneak genre will enjoy this but action fans rather skip this game.
