9.9/10 - Machinarium is a masterclass in atmospheric storytelling, blending intricate puzzles with a beautifully hand-drawn world. Its wordless narrative is both charming and deeply expressive, pulling players into a melancholic yet hopeful journey. The soundtrack perfectly complements the tone, enhancing every moment. With its clever design and unforgettable style, it stands as a near-perfect adventure experience.

Great point-and-click game with a solid story and excellent graphics. The length is quite short and its puzzles are generally complex. Some of these puzzles could be described as “happy ideas,” since their solutions feel implausible and it’s unlikely you’d figure them out unless by chance. It has save-related issues, to the point that the developer had to add an option to jump to any selected checkpoint.

Excellent little inde game. It's beautiful, it can be a bit difficult (some of the puzzles are tricky, I used the hints and a couple of YouTube videos) but it's not too frustrating. Takes 5 to 7 hours to finish without using the hints too much. Recommended !

I want to describe this game with just simple words. Authentic, Aesthetic and Artistic. Especially graphic and ost music will be taking you to the imaginary world you've never been fantasized. Gameplay feel really unique and enjoyable. Puzzles are hard but not unsolvable and some are even funny. One thing I can bravely claim is that this game is the one of the best thing ever happened in my life and I really appreciate the developers. This is the game once you've played you will never ever forget eternally. Long live the Machinarium!!

English : Beautiful DA, the story is simple but touching and the universe unique. The character moves a bit slowly and the mechanics are not always smooth, but it doesn't kill the fun. The puzzles are interesting and diversified, the game mostly avoid falling into that weird point n click logic (you know, when you start clicking everywhere and trying to combine everything compulsively ^^). Definitely a must do if you love puzzle games ! Français : Très belle DA, l'histoire est simple mais touchante. Le personnage est un peu lent à se déplacer et les mécaniques ne sont pas toujours fluides, mais pas au point de tuer le fun. Les casse-têtes sont intéressants et variés, le jeu évite la plupart du temps de tomber dans cette étrange logique de point n click qui fait qu'on clique partout et qu'on essaie de combiner tous les objets de manière absurde ^^ A ne pas rater si vous aimez les casse-têtes !

Splendide DA et ambiance totalement immersive. Je ne connait pas de jeu avec un mood pareil. Malheureusement des énigmes souvent trop absurdes, peu claires et compréhensibles. Devoir regarder les solutions sur internet m'a sorti du jeu au point de ne plus y prendre de plaisir. Je ne ressentais pas de gratification. Enigmes et puzzles qui relèvent + de l'essai en boucle/toucher à tout plutôt qu'une véritable réflexion et logique. Ça plaira à certains mais pour moi cela cache un mauvais équilibrage du "game design". Le joueur est censé pouvoir comprendre ce qu'il fait et ce qu'il peut faire. Or là, une grosse partie des puzzles n'ont pas de sens.

160 IQ and was still hard for me. but i pushed through for my robot girlfriend. picked up a few bottles of motor oil, you never know what it will feel like.

As a fan of the puzzle genre, I must say that this game has special graphics with a stunning environment and level design that makes you spend some time watching the environment. playing and solving puzzles in this game, the short gameplay of this game is considered one of its positive points because it does not make you tired of the game, I was fascinated by the sound design in my experience with this gamewhich is different in each level, I hope that from the experience of this game

It's a great puzzle game, i played this nice on my xbox series s, ps4, pc and iphone.

I didn't like it. Useless puzzles and you were lost easily 'cause everything looked the same. It was just frustrating. Really had an unpleasant time with this one, thanks god it was short. The only plus was the OST and the somehow cute plot. The graphism were garbage quite literally, maybe that's why I didn't like them ew.

Машинариум - это головоломка-приключение в жанре point-and-click, в которой игрок управляет маленьким роботом по имени Йозеф. Игровой процесс состоит из решения головоломок и нахождения способа продвижения по уровням. Игрок может использовать мышь для перемещения робота по экрану, поиска предметов и решения головоломок. Отличная игра в жанре поинт клик ( которую мне казалось когда где раздавали попробовал, меня задушили на 2 локе ), загадки не щадят ( особенно когда вроде кликаешь, выхлопа не видишь, и продолжаешь искать, я так на входе в город, знатно застрял!) это классика. Благо если застрял, можно глянуть подсказки, но сначала нужно пройти мини игру, вообщем пока проходил мини игры, подумал, что лучше сам догадаюсь. Ну про "Бар" я думаю вы наслышаны, называется как выиграть в типа шахматы у заскриптованного болвана, вроде не сложно, но ушло попыток наверно 10-20 и то я думаю он мне поддался) На локации "Верхний двор" такая музыка играет, я просто стоял и наслаждался. Потом уже полегче было, имхо. Последняя загадка это конечно что то с чем то, музыкального слуха у меня нет. Стиль это тоже не мало важная роль и сеттинг, где вы еще поиграете за робота в стим панке? ( и почему то я вспомнил о мультике "Роботы" 2005. Хм... Советую!

Мир Машинариума - это очень атмосферный, ламповый, загадочный и ЖИВОЙ мир, с очень интересными головоломками, сюжетом, НПС и локациями. У игры есть только два минуса - она слишком короткая, и у неё нет продолжения, надежда на которое с каждым годом только падает(

Прикольная игра головоломочка со своим классным визуальным стилем и мемными персонажами. Решение задач достаточно логичны и не вызывают духоту - от игрока всего лишь требуется чуточку внимания и минимум рассуждений. 8мь ветралетов из 10ти.

Игра шедевр, в ней хорошо всё: атмосфера, саундтрек и головоломки, но только за некоторым исключением, которые без стопки водки не решить

Machinarium is a game set in garbage, the scenario is garbage, the protagonists are scrap, and everything looks like junk. They practically don't speak, and they interact on a give-take-or-disturb level. While graphics and design and especially the music are outspoken great, the puzzles are not. it feels arbitrary to solve 4 puzzles in a row having to do with sorting of numbers just to get a robot dog saved. Even though it's almost beautiful, the story and ambience depress. One doesn't really know why one should take the trouble of fumbling around. For me, playing the game is unpleasant.

I found it excellent in all aspects. Story, gameplay, sound... Totally recommended.

Have a look at the art style, it will determine your enjoyment of the game. It is a fairly standard adventure game otherwise

Le petit étron indé foireux du jour sonne creux comme une gourde en fer blanc... ça fait toc toute cette ferraille en solde ! Cela dit, pour un jeu qui se passe à la décharge, ça ne lui fera pas loin pour aller à la poubelle... tiens, il doit y avoir une benne pour toi, petit robot mongolo, vas-y ! fais comme chez toi... Quoi, ça ? ça, c'est le broyeur où on met en pièces détachées les **** robots mongolos dans ton genre, celui des jeux (?) d'aventure à cliqueurs à la mords-moi-le-noeud... si on aime se faire chier, il paraît que c'est l'idéal. Contre la constipation. En plus, sur le PC, là, il est même pas en plein écran, cet étron indé de mon cul ! c'est tout en 2D de toute façon, comme une vieille daube du siècle dernier, tu le crois ça ? et la musique plaira sûrement aux ascenseurs mais c'est tout...

Its short length may make it more worth it on a sale, but the storytelling is solidly simple, the visuals are beautifully drawn, and the non-stop puzzles succeed in making you think.

Very nice game. Introduction is nice and smooth as you see all the nice graphics, animations good music in background you get little tutorial and just like that you are ready to go for the whole game. I really like the characters in game they don't speak yet you can tell what they are like and it's so charming. Puzzles are great with a lot of visual clues to help you and a lot of variations with some mini-games mixed in. But what i really like is how the story is told, it really rewards you just for playing the game. Overall great game.

While the game is out on most of the consoles , i think the original PC one is still outstanding.Despite the fact that the game is released a decade ago , it still contains a lot of fun.A very brilliant point and click adventure which has challenging puzzles , amazing storytelling and a great **** is one of the must play indie games.

My most favourite game ever. Such an amazing environment with cool puzzles, and best of all an super cool story, i wish that the developer continue making games like this, the world need em, i want em.

A simple, yet extremely creative and memorable point and click adventure game. Very cute story, beautiful art direction/music. Game goes easy on players not accustomed to point and click adventures through the hint book mechanic too which is nice. A short game well worth it's small asking price. Anyone who's big into point and click games or willing to try out new types of games should look into this one

Started playing for the art style, stayed for the humor and puzzles. Machinarium is a rather short point&click game but with a lot of charm to it. The visuals are stunning. A fully hand-drawn environment with a little artistic approach is just a plain joy to watch. The story is more of a journey than a tale so don't expect any twists. But along your way, you will find plenty of interesting characters with subtle funny moments (the band in the town being one of the examples). But you came here for the game, right? Machinarium has great puzzles. Some of them are simple object-matching riddles, but some of them can be tricky puzzles with different mechanisms. They can be pretty challenging but never frustrating. One of the best I ever played in point&click games.

As a fan of old-school point and click games, I really wanted to love Machinarium. It has lots of things going for it: a wonderful aesthetic, endearing characters, and good music. But for me, the majority of the gameplay falls flat. In many situations, I knew what the solution to the puzzles was, but couldn't actually get it to work. I know the bird has the tile I need to finish the puzzle, but there's no precedent set for the mechanic I'm supposed to use to get it back. I have to freeze the padlock to break it, but why would freeze spray be hidden in a locked compartment in the elevator? There's no way to know this, no logical reason it would be there, and it's not even in the same room as the puzzle that's being solved. I find this really too bad, because when there are straight puzzle games, like the Gomoku puzzle and the Castle safe puzzle, I really enjoyed playing the game. The Glasshouse control panel puzzle was definitely a highlight. But these moments are too few and far between for me to recommend the game fully.

I have played all 4 games of Amanita company and yet this one is the best. this time they paid more attention to gameplay rather than their other games which they put more emphasis on soundtrack and art design. some times too hard but overally, it's worth it.

A beautiful game. Such magnificent in its all aspects. The artwork, story, characters and game play, all are perfect. If you search a poetic and marvelous game, you're at the right place. The game will overheat your brain with its enigmas A point and click that it make you flabbergasted.

really beautiful game and very well done, the art was especially awesome. Overall it just kinda failed to keep my attention as much as i was hoping, but overall it felt like a really well done and polished game.

Ошибки многих квестов - полная нелогичность требуемых действий, хотя и не плохо развивает воображение. Неплохие мини игры. Отличная музыка. Красивая 2д графика и особенный стиль. Простая, но приятная история.

Great game. i have spent a lot of time on this title. It has a great story with memorable characters. Good gameplay and best cut scenes with good atmosphere.

Machinarium is a brilliant puzzler set in a beautiful machine city filled with interesting inhabitants. It's worth playing for the art style and puzzles alone but when you factor in how much life they managed to breathe into mute robot characters it really does make it a must play for fans of the genre.

This review comes form someone who has 0 puzzle games experience and man this game seemed hard for me,I often googled stuff but it kept me there,it just did.I appreciate the work that these people made on this simple game that has an intriguing story although there is no dialogue.

Визуально - это просто шедевр. Всё рисовали вручную, по-крайней мере ощущение именно такое. В мире игры хоть и живут одни роботы, но всё выглядит так живо, поменяй роботов на людей и это были бы те же самые уличные музыканты или дедушка играющий в шахматы. Вообщем у автора всё в порядке с фантазией. Музыка прекрасна и создаёт чарующую атмосферу. Сюжет же довольно прост - это история спасения возлюбленной, но это не как не минус. Так же игра местами выдаёт такие милые кадры, что прямо ми-ми-ми :). Геймплейно - очень хороший квест. Отличная игра!

A really good adventure game, one with a lot of charm. It's puzzles are intuitive and not overwhelmingly difficult. This is a must play if you're an adventure game fan like me and worth checking out even if you're not.

Beautifully stylish and full of character. Unfortunately many of the puzzles are not intuitive or alternatively involve nothing more than moving one thing form one place to another. One of the better puzzle platformers out there none-the-less

A little gem, designs beautiful, dreamy atmospheres and alienating logic puzzles intriguing, an excellent soundtrack. An example of a small software company can create with little money and a lot of ideas, games beautiful, non-trivial, non-standardized, with original logical. Amanita Design Viva!

(English and Italian Review) Beautiful game. It has an unique way to telling a story (almost without dialogues); it is possible to get in-game help to solve puzzles (without the need of a walk-trough); outstanding scenery and character design; modern approach to adventure game; no pixel hunting.... even my girlfriend like it and she does not like Videogame in general ;). Buy it! Bellissimo gioco. Suggerisco vivamente di comprarlo perchè è un ottima avventura grafica moderna: Gli enigmi scorrono veloci (con la possibilità di avere un aiuto all'interno del gioco usando un mini gioco come una sorta di sparatutto); la trama è raccontata senza usare praticamente nessun dialogo; grafica curata ed originale; lungo il giusto.

I just re-played it again (and finished) for the first time since it was released. It's still a beautiful, charming game, that hasn't lost its touch. Long live Amanita.

A magnificent journey in a beautiful,but decadent world... Machinarium is visually astonishing,the soundtrack is amazing and even though there is no speech,the characters are quite well developed.I would define this game as a genuine entertainment for all the family:however,the difficulty is quite ****'ll find yourself using all the help you can get from the game itself(there is a "hint" feature),since most of the puzzles are really difficult,but the desire to know more about the story and the affection you will feel for the main characters,will "force" you to find an answer even to the most difficult scenarios,or,at least,that was what happened to me :).

Definitely a memorable click adventure game. The art is pleasing to the eye and the music is very cute. Charming is probably the best word to describe this game. The world itself is fun to adventure around and it is a relaxing game to play. The puzzles weren't all that challenging and sometimes you'll find yourself clicking the whole screen to find that one hidden item you need to pass a certain stage; which is a bit frustrating. A bit too linear, wish there was sometimes an alternative way offered to get to the next area/stage to keep it a bit more interesting. Otherwise, if you're just looking for a game that's easy on the eyes and ears and for you to relax with, this is for you.

*Graphics* Very intriguing. The animations are also pretty, and the main character is lovely. The dialogues are drawn in clouds, a nice alternative that's even better than text dialogues would have been, in my opinion. *Sounds* The music creates the right atmosphere for this kind of game. *Game* The puzzles are sometimes arbitrary, and it takes some time to understand how to solve them. The characters are robots, but this has nothing to do with the story; it's just to make them pretty. The plot itself is a bit disappointing: the ending is too quick, ruining the expectations it created after one got attached to the main character. But indeed, eventually I got attached to the clumsy, bullied tiny robot, and I enjoyed the overall experience.
