An incredibly strong debut for 3DSWare. Grab this one quickly, 3DS owners, and start recapturing some of that old Mario Golf magic.

Let's Golf! 3D got the Nintendo 3DS eShop's exclusive software off to a good start, and with this solid effort it isn't difficult to see why. Generic feel and safe gameplay systems aside, the sheer amount to see and do, together with the friendly pick-up-and-play interface, make this downloadable a golfing game to consider.

Let's Golf! 3D is a very enjoyable arcade golf game, with plenty of single player modes and five beautiful locations. The 3DS version has no online multiplayer, the 3D effect is poorly implemented and the frame rate is pretty inconsistent, nonetheless Gameloft's last effort is a good buy for the money.

Let's Golf! 3D is inferior to its smartphone caddies due to framerate issues, but is still well worth chipping in for.

If you want a golf game you can pick up and play at any moment on your 3DS, then the $6.99 price tag is no barrier, especially since Let's Golf 3D has a wealth of content totaling around 10 hours if you get into it. However, it is cheaper on other platforms ($4.99) that also include the online play that this game lacks.

Largely accomplishes what it sets out to do: deliver a good golf game with a variety of locations and 3D visuals. For gamers who are looking for a fun golf title to have permanently installed on their 3DS for pick-up-and-play action, Let's Golf 3D is an acceptable option. It doesn't have very much personality, but will satisfy the urge to hit the links on the 3DS.

The lengthy career mode means you'll get your money's worth, but the iffy putting and lack of characters means this golf game still has a fair way to go (sorry) to become one of the genre's masters. [Oct 2011, p.97]

Unfortunately, Let's Golf 3D isn't one to get overly excited about, and in a market drowning in rival offerings, you won't have far to look to find a better one.

There's no charm, no innovation and no style, but it is a moderately entertaining game. [Sept 2011, p.76]
