Destined to be forgotten. Don't waste your time with this one.

the return to childhood in a well-made platformer game, please note that the game is mainly aimed at children

This is probably the most obscure Dreamcast title to grace our mad little world. Kao the Kangaroo's character design is ADORABLE and the game plays solidly too. You can even place down your own checkpoints! Unfortunately, it doesn't use the dream casts full potential and looks like a budget N64 title. Also, this is pretty much baby's first Crash Bandicoot. If you own a Dreamcast and you're into obscure B-Grade platform ears, I recommend you check this game out. It's not very good, but it's not bad either.

Because this game is targeted at the kiddies, and because sometimes a little (or in this case, a whole lot of) simple, addictive gameplay is just what the kiddies need, Kao Kangaroo succeeds marvelously on this level. Just don't expect much more.

As delightful as our cartoony kangaroo is, Kao The Kangaroo just wasn't exciting enough for me mainly because I've played this type of game so many times already.

It's too short and unchallenging for the current asking price of $40 but, with time, it (as well as most of the DC line-up) will go down in price (and becomes an enticing secondary purchase).

Nine out of ten experts agree, this kangaroo should be hopping his way into bargain bin obscurity, posthaste.

The game is obscenely generic, wildly frustrating and simply not worth the time. Kids will throw tantrums and adults will pull out their hair. I fear Kao is headed straight for the video game character wasteland, populated by such notables as "Aero the Acrobat," "Bubsy" and "Michael Jackson."

SummaryKao encounters many different enemies, including menacing bosses in a battle royale at the end of each level! Hang gliders, motorboats, snowboards, and even a space scooter add to the game pace and diversity. [Titus]
