Hitman: World of Assassination brings together most of the trilogy’s content in a convenient package. While what’s excluded and the always online requirements are baffling, the game itself is still a ton of fun with the new Freelancer mode bringing you to locations from all three games. This is a great way to dive in for newcomers, though veterans will be confused as to what’s not included and why.
Hitman’s Freelancer mode is something rare: an intoxicating blend of challenge and approachability. It plays on the hubris of longtime players, but also guides newcomers with thematic objectives and a more explicit overall structure. It may not allow for the micro-repetition that makes the base trilogy tick. But it does maintain a rapid momentum from the beginning of each run to its bitter, comical end. After so many hours spent with this trilogy, combing each of its locations for something, anything I missed, I did not think it possible for IO to surprise me anymore — but here we are. With any roguelike game, the biggest problem is repetition. Hitman: Freelancer is in a strange place when it comes to this; the core gameplay loop and these levels have, in some cases, been around since 2016, and repetition is built into the game's framework. If someone has yet to play the recent entries, and with all three previous games wrapped up in one package, Hitman: World of Assassination is an incredible deal. As a free update for players who already own Hitman 3, it's absolutely worth jumping back into.

One of the best stealth games ever made; the AI and mechanics are simple, yet they work and feel absolutely perfect. For me, however, the real highlight is the environments—the obsessive level of detail, the presentation of each map, and the myriad ways to eliminate targets that showcase the developers' boundless imagination. Kudos to IOI—one of the greatest games of all time

A sandbox game without equal, featuring a great interpretation of the original trilogy's storyline.

A good game hampered by a predatory menu system that tries to coax you into buying dlc by not making it clear what content you already own at first glance. DLC policy is ass and missions taking place in the same location are handled in an unimmersive manner.

Hitman Woa es lo único que necesitaba la saga, excelente misiones, gráficos buenos a pesar de ser un juego que no es su mayor atractivo, y ni hablar de las mecánicas que son excelentes.

While Freelancer Mode introduces a lot of new elements to the table, it also brings a myriad of bugs and issues that can take away from the overall experience. The freelancer mode is by no means bad, but it definitely has issues executing its concept due to its flawed RNG and mechanics.

Having never played any of these games in the franchise previously, I thought I'd dive in see what it's all about. I'm about 5 missions in and wondering when the fun is going to start. There's no story to speak of, you just start at a location and are given instructions on who to kill. Then it's mostly going round avoiding guards, using disguises, etc. There are lots of inventive ways to kill the target but most of the time I just snipe them from a distance. The AI is so-so. People are walking around on their set paths and stop to investigate suspicious circumstances, etc. However when they find a body they will go crazy for a while then calm down and go about their business, so you just have to wait them out. What's odd is once you've killed a target nobody seems to notice much. I threw one guy over a banister and through a window below yet apart from a bit of screaming afterwards the world went back to normal making it easy for me to focus on the other targets. In real life the whole location would have been locked down very quickly. It begs the question, if assassination is all this game offers then why would I play this and not a game where assassination is just one of the things I can do? For example, in assassin's creed there are a million other things to take up your time as well, all in a large free roaming map. Hitman feels hyper-focused and very one dimensional by comparison. I also feel that the hitman's moral ambiguity works against him as I am sent to take lives without any good reason as to why I am doing it, other than the fact someone ordered me to do it. There was one mission where it was heavily implied that a target murdered someone by pushing them off a rooftop, but then if it's so certain they did it then why weren't they arrested? We have a judicial system for a reason.

I was expecting something like Hitman Absolution, but it was nothing like that. There's not much of a story either. You're just constantly assassinating people on different maps, but I found the gameplay very slow and confusing. Maybe I'm not in the mood to play this game right now, I don't know.

DLC... DLC EVERYWHERE... Did you really think that by buying “HITMAN World of Assassination” you would complete the “whole” campaign? Nothing could be further from the truth! You will complete only the 13 campaign that is “Hitman 1” - The basic version does not include the Hitman 2 and 3 campaign! You need to buy it separately as “HITMAN WORLD OF ASSASSINATION UPGRADE PACK” DLC! Basic version of the game is just a demo!!

You need to have a PHD in Astro physics to understand how to purchase this game. I just ended up pirating it. When they fix it I’ll buy it
