Grow Home isn't the masterpiece you'll hang on the wall, it's the vase of tulips on the coffee table - appreciated at the time, but forgotten once they wither. [Issue#159, p.90]

Clever, pretty and endearing. [April 2015, p.63]

Beautiful, cute and wonderful. Unfortunately also very short. [04/2015, p.67]

This game proves a game does not have to look good to be fun. I have had a blast toying with the game's mechanics. Although it is a short game, it shows how long you have progressed beautifully in that short amount of time. If you are bored and want to try something new, definitely check this game out.

Despite its short length, Grow Home stands out as one of the most refreshing and original titles to have come out of Ubisoft in recent years.

Grow Home is an interesting surprise from a publisher who got used to mismanaging its own IPs. This platformer-like-no-other has everything going for it and for a very low price tag. You can easily give it a try.

This game is short but beautiful and extremely enjoyable. I hate games where you are limited by walls or cliffs, there is no where you can't explore in this game. I haven't laughed out loud so often from playing a game in a long time.

Lovely and lighthearted game which really should be featured on the front page of Metacritic. The game is alittle short but one can hope for future extensions. Adorable game, please try!

Despite not doing anything big or particularly new, Grow Home is an enjoyable, compact experience that knows what it is and offers it in a neat little package.

If indie gaming is just a state of mind then Ubisoft is getting increasingly good at encouraging it in their developers, especially in this novel plant-based platformer.

Ubisoft knows how to surprise when decides to experiment, and Grow Home makes no difference. Is clearly not a solid project as Valiant Hearts and Child of Light, but its simplicity, combined with a colourful look and interesting ideas made us appreciate it a lot.

If Ubisoft believes that this is a successful attempt at experimental gameplay, I shudder to think of what their failures look like.

Was extremely fortunate to have found this little gem. The overall graphics style and feel to the game is great, especially that feeling when you lose your grip on a mountain way high up and fall down. Really wish there were more relaxing games like this.

After seeing that a sequel has been made and is now out on game store, I immediately want to try out the prequel. Now, the game's beautiful. And the atmosphere, everything sound just right. It has a simple story about a robot name's BUD and he's trying to plant a tree into space (sounds awesome right o_0?) while also trying to collect the plant's seed in order to analyze it. The game mechanics is fun at first, but then can be devastating at times, because if you fall down without having been to the nearest checkpoint you're gonna have to climb back and it takes time and it can be really boring. So if you want something to play to kill time definitely check this out!

WOW guys, what a superb game! i had a great time pressing L2 and R2 buttons. for me it was just a indie mediocre game nothing more nothing less. not bad but not good. just climd and collet cristals. no offence about the makers. good idea for a chill game but needs more for a too expansive to be just this game. another grate game to hate ubisoft.

SummaryFeel the freedom of unbounded climbing as you take control of BUD, a procedurally animated robot on a quest to save his planet. Create your own path through an alien world as you control and ride a giant plant on a vertical journey to the stars.
