The Rising Tide is, objectively speaking, the best piece of DLC content a single-player Final Fantasy game has ever received. It adds a few more hours to an epic experience that already felt complete and expands it slightly but beautifully, being carefully and naturally integrated into the main game. Another must-have for the enjoyers of the most genre-defying entry of the franchise.

Final Fantasy XVI: The Rising Tide is an excellent addition to an already great story that fits seamlessly into the world of Final Fantasy XVI. Clive’s latest quest is challenging but rewarding, and it allows him to grow more as a character as he continues serving the people around him.

This DLC added everything that strengthened the main story. The lore about Leviathan, and the people related to the event. New abilities and ne game mode in the Ares stone were great and create replay values.

Such a touching story with Levitathen’s dominant and Cascade is probably one of Soken’s best work so far in any media. Great challenge with the Kairos gate, and cool new two sets of Eikon abilities. The DPS check of Levi during FF mode was the spotlight of the DLC. I truly hope for more DLCs to come for XVI, this is my favorite final fantasy

Simply put, The Rising Tide is a fitting end to Final Fantasy XVI. It delivers more stellar gameplay and an interesting narrative, all while further solidifying the legacy of the franchise's sixteenth title. While it may play it safe with the characters, bosses and story, it makes up for it with the addition of Leviathan and Kairos Gate. Furthermore, the DLC is a perfect sendoff to the game, lending itself well to what was established and giving fans a chance to return to Clive, Torgal, Jill and Jonathan one last time. Those who enjoyed the base game will find The Rising Tide to be an enjoyable and worthwhile adventure to travel back to Valisthea for.

All in all, Final Fantasy‘s finale DLC was a pretty good time. While Mysidia wasn’t quite as in-depth as I had hoped it would be, Final Fantasy XVI The Rising Tide is nonetheless an enjoyable and rewarding journey and a satisfying conclusion to the Final Fantasy XVI DLC duology.

Overall, Final Fantasy XVI: The Rising Tide DLC is both a satisfying experience and kind of a disappointment. Had this content been part of the base game, I wouldn't have had any complaints, but since this is set at the tail end of the game, it feels like there should've been more to the plot and presentation. Instead, it feels too divorced from the game world to have an impact. The new abilities and additional boss fights are very cool, but the fact they come only at the end of the game means they are basically for fooling around the Karios Gate or doing a New Game+ run. If you are a big fan of Final Fantasy XVI, you'll absolutely have fun, and it isn't a bad DLC. It just could've been better, and it missed the chance to improve on some of Final Fantasy XVI's weaker points.

An excellent slice of DLC that genuinely feels like a missing part of the main story and features some of the best moments from the whole adventure.

The Rising Tide is considerably more content-packed than the initial Echoes of the Fallen DLC, but it doesn’t change 16’s fate. If you want more of Clive Rosfield’s adventures to defy the gods, then The Rising Tide is for you, but if you only have a passing curiosity, then you probably won’t regret skipping over Leviathan in Final Fantasy 16.

Los nuevos combates son increíble, tiene gran historia y que concluye muchos cabos sueltos. Muy recomendado este DLC

Presentation: good. Combat: improved but not drastically.
Otherwise? Solid 7/10. Not great, not terrible.

This game seemed great from the trailer but when I played it, it was a very boring mess. The game had lazy characters but the boss battles and battles in general made this game not a 4/10

The DLC lacks the same as the main game -interest to keep going on and appealing rewards- but doesn't offer the greatness the main game offers in exchange. And besides, some battles, specifically the one involving time stopping, are tedious and unfair. Very dissapointed with this one.

A very bad experience, maybe even worse than the main plot. I can see why they choose to cut it from the development.
Everything it feels out of context.
But I guess that the blind fans don't care about storytelling and challenges...
