Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition
For those that have already wandered the world of Eos, there is little reason to relive the crown prince’s journey in Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD. It is, however, the perfect choice for those that haven’t and, fearing the need to grind out levels, would prefer to play this condensed option. It’s not without its shortcomings, and, despite the commendable depth, battles soon descend into repetition. But, all in all, it can still charm and entertain.
Is Pocket Edition HD worth it? Yes, it is since it tells the exact same story with greater efficiency. It is missing a lot of the finer qualities, like the fishing and the attention to detail, in exchange for a more focused story experience that lasts about 10 hours. The lack of scope, however, really does underline how weak Noctis' quest really is when all the car riding and fetch quests are cut. The meat of the story involves running a few errands and a few climaxes later on, with only a smidgen of character development.
All these things have been admirably translated, in a way far less intimidating to newcomers and logistically fascinating to veterans.

worth it and glad to play this game again. so much memories and nostalgia within this fifteenth game in the series.

A faithful recreation of the original. The story is for the most part kept the same with only a couple small parts, unimportant to the narrative, cut. Combat is fluid and smooth, but the game being too easy is one of the biggest arguments keeping this game from being "amazing". Overall experience is decent and if you don't have the 30+ hours to drop into FF15, this is your best bet.

This is a bad game. It compresses the story into a disjointed mess. The art style is horrific, especially the character model hands which are the stuff of nightmares. Going through emotional scenes with these stone dead faced characters just takes so much out of the game. And on the gameplay side, the entire game is effectively scripted top to bottom, including every "random" encounter. There's really no point to ever play this. I picked it up because I only have a switch and wanted to see the story, but I should of just watched a youtube video of the major cut scenes because that would of been infinitely better. Also, the game is stupidly easy, its impossible to die unless you try to. There were also few times the game got stuck (it didn't freeze but it wouldn't load the next scene) and I would have to quit out and restart the game. We should all just pretend this game doesn't exist.

It may not have the cutting-edge visuals of its full-fledged source material, or its open world, but it certainly has its soul.

Probably the most un-Final Fantasy game in the series history XV Pocket Edition HD at least provides a decent game to get us going before more full-fat titles arrive.

Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition HD is a weird game to review. While it doesn't exactly fill an RPG-sized hole, it’s still fun to play. The challenge might be lacking, but it is fun going through the motions.

This is an interesting way of discovering Final Fantasy XV, although it’s way too easy and simple. If that’s how you want to experience the game, it’s not a bad option, though.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD is the sort of game that you play and then wonder why exactly it needs to exist. Though it does a great job of capturing the spirit of Final Fantasy XV in several ways, it drops the ball in some others, resulting in an inferior facsimile of a game that is already seen as something of a rough gem. There’s very little reason to give Pocket Edition HD a go if you’ve already played Final Fantasy XV, and if you haven’t, we’d give this a tenuous recommendation at best. There are many moments where the live-action combat is satisfying and the cutesy visuals are charming, but this is hardly something that we’d say should be close to the top of your wish list.

Having played FFXV on PS4. I think this is the perfect "Pocket" edition. It gives you all the story bits and cuts out most of the fluff that the full game had. I don't mind it, if you're just wanting to experience the story, this is the perfect way to do so especially if you're short on time, I like usually am.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD has some long loading screens, minor to moderate frame rate drops, is slightly buggy, combat tends to be repetitive, a lot of content from the original game is gone, is quite inferior then the original game, and is potentially overpriced compared to the original game. However, even with all that, it is still a good game.

Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition HD for the Nintendo Switch is perfect for you if you want the following: 1) good controls that are not touch based. 2) ability to play on a HD TV. 3) don't want to drain your phone's battery. Everything else you can find on separate reviews. Is a summarized version of FFXV, focused only on the big story, delivers a fast enjoyable combat system and a cartoony artwork. The voice acting is there, the amazing soundtrack is also there. I would recommend to anyone that does not own a PS4 or XB1 and wants to play through the story on a console. I haven´t finished the game yet, will update the review, but take into consideration, that in the mobile version once the credits roll, there is really not much to do.

Un port demasiado directo de una versión móvil y mal optimizado. le habría sentado muy bien algunos cambios al dar el salto a consolas.
