It may not have the emotional impact of some of Square's RPG's, but it does have likeable characters, a huge amount of gameplay, an epic quest, and beautifully rendered environments and effects.

Simplicity at his best... a beatiful world but simple... great characters but simple... great gameplay but simple.... its a mix of simplicity in everything but mixed beautifully....
just navigating is so satisfying.....
Not a great JRPG if you compare to FF or chrono cross/triggee but a great game and memorable. i would give it a 9 but the people usually vote 10 or 0 based in preferences so ill give it a max coz a 9 will not be right

This game is sublime. I played it recently as a young boy and i can say that this game is the pure definition of perfection. The game gives you a totality of emotions that you will carry for most of your life. This game is a life-changing experience and i recommend it to everyone who loves JRPG genre.

One of the best JRPGs ever made. It's under-appreciated due to being a victim of poor timing, poor initial console choice, and poor marketing when re-released for the GameCube. It's easily deserving of a proper remake for Nintendo Switch 2.
