This was definitely a labor of love and it shows in the quality of the presentation and the attention to detail in every subtle nuance of the characters, their powers, and the way it all comes together in the gameplay.

While the gameplay and controls could have used a little more work, Fantastic Four is a comic book brawler that may just beat out the summer blockbuster competition.

The models up close are unsightly, the cinemas grainy and the music has all the luster of a Tide commercial, but the game on the whole is entertaining by game standards. [Aug 2005, p.50]

Comic book fans will appreciate the inclusion of additional enemies and the ability to fight alongside a friend in co-op mode, but the game still comes up short.

The curse of movie to video games conversions strikes again, as there's nothing fantastic or memorable about this repetitive and generic actioner.
50
With dated graphics and substandard animation, combined with misfiring voiceovers, poor presentation and woefully repetitive and restrictive gameplay, Fantastic 4 is not likely to whip up a storm with gamers or their wallets.
33
The coop is a nice, but not perfect, feature that not many games have lately, but unfortunately that may not be enough to save this game from its terrible graphics and seriously repetitive gameplay.

So, back in the early 1960s, F4 was my first Marvel comicbook superheroes. I glad to see it finallly get the proper treatment it deserves. The Fox attempts in the early oughts were okay, but this rendition is far superiour, especially with the retro feel and look. Good job Marvel Studios.

That's game is a full of broken mechanics and stupid game design. Difficult to say what wrong with this game but i'm try. First of all: plot. It's just don't work when you bring to players cutscene without any sense. I understand game is just marketing victim for films. But when you acenting on plot - do normal plot, plese. It's even not movie copypasta plot, there have a new originals storyline, but very bad and don't comfortable. And secondary: game designs and mechanics. There we have broken hitbox with all enemy creatures and bosses. Camera anytime can stack in one positions and hit the bosses and creature becomes harder. Sometime bosses accept position when target not worked. With stupid camera and stupid bosses it's becomes very difficult. Game designs: were we play for the Invisible Women we can activate indestructible shield... Players thing: if I can bloke ultimate power bosses atack - I can block anything. No, that's wrong thing, Developers thing: heavy actec rock warriors with shield can do heavy attacks on Invisible Woman and broke his shield. Why it's work like that?
