An atmospheric puzzle game with very interesting graphics and well designed, fairly unique puzzles. The Ultimate Edition comes with two extra levels and a 61-page comic that sheds light into the game's story.

I've finished the game and both the DLC.
The last DLC, The Tower, is the only part that I've enjoyed a bit more.
All of the rest is pretty meh and I've found the gameplay extremely clunky.

If Silent Hill and M.C. Escher had a baby. A unique, dark art style with some very nice atmospheric sound design. It feels similar to a few other puzzlers, but it adds its own unique twist. A lot of fun.

If you're in the mood for a dark (pun intended) puzzle game, this is the game for you. Even though it's a 2D puzzle game, Darq kept me thinking about all 6 sides of the room I was in. the puzzles are complex and unique without being repetitive, and even when I felt stuck, I just had to think a little outside the box and the answer was right in front of me the whole time. - At first I thought $19 was a bit overpriced, but the "complete edition" comes with two additional DLC areas that validate the price point. Is Darq worth it? Well, if you’re into games like Inside, Limbo, Little Nightmares etc… then the answer is “yes” and don’t take this statement as a hint of Darq being a clone to these games, this game has it’s unique ideas that’s allows it to stand tall among these gems.

Darq is absolute when creating a dark and dense environment. The game has clever and thought-provoking puzzles, as well as impeccable art direction. The love Unfold Games had when creating it is clearly observed, and that is enough to include it among the highlights of the genre. The lack of a more elaborate story and the short duration of the game can be a negative point, but these factors are far from spoiling the experience, which is very satisfying.

A great game for a weekend or even just an afternoon, DARQ: Complete Edition packs in about 4-6 hours of spooky puzzles. Best enjoyed with headphones, its strengths are its immersive and chilling sound design provided by Cyberpunk 2077 and Hitman’s Bjørn Jacobsen, and its creative, perspective-shifting platforming within a vividly realized world. While it leans more unsettling than scary and at times relies too heavily on cheap scares, it’s a satisfying, imaginative game that is well-deserving of an afternoon. I wouldn’t recommend it to cure any sleep issues, though.
