There's no question that Crackdown 2 is a mere shadow of the first game, which stands as an absolute classic. The sequel feels more like an ambitious user mod than a true follow-up.

It's Crackdown 1.5. Lower your expectations, then you'll have a fantastic time with an update of one of the most enjoyable open-world games around.

The cliché regarding this sort of game is that it changes the way you view your own world: I know for sure that I'll be seeing those last few Orbs in my dreams for months to come. If you need any indication of Crackdown's brilliance, that's surely it, right? If you seek its monument, look around you.

Not that fun as other games. I only like the multiplayer and that it was free. If you like shooters like that it can be for you, but i didn't really liked it. @Sweden0456.

Now despite the boos and hisses abotu this game, its a more loveable venture for me for a variety of reasons, when compared to the 1st game. First of all, gone is the teeth-grinding mission director, and we have a more down to earth guy who actaully appreciates the lengths your agent goes through to reduce crime. Then there's the agent himself (well, you have a selection of one out of four, but hey ho), who is more streamlined and easy to handle, and powersup well too. PLus we all like a helmet/mask that conceals any grim features and makes you tough as nails! This time round the groahics are even more refined, and there are nice cutscenes (as well as an intruiging story to boot). Lastly (although this concept I have not personally savoured) there is a 1-4 player option, wich is mostly fun via multiplayer. Lastly, its not just everyday vehicles you cant take command **** now have planes, tanks and choppers to run riot it. This is how a sequel should be made; take all the good things from the previous game and add a bit more spice to it.

Honestly the game has its flaws with it just being the same as the first game. However, I feel like this game has made the gameplay and combat smoother, the zombie mode was really fun & they added some cool weapons to the game. Really it’s more of the first game with some added content to shake things up. Sure, I would have liked to see the crack down franchise do more when the second game came out, but it still was the same fun experience that one can expect from these games. Definitely a whole lot better than the 3rd game

All in all, Crackdown 2 delivers more of what we loved in the original game while adding enough nuances to drive a very compelling story.

Crackdown 2 innovates little over it's predecessor but allows the player to have fun for many hours. Stimulate your superpowers, bash some Freak Skulls and clean up the streets of Pacific City in order to become the perfect super-cop!

I love this game, all the comparisons to the first game are void, this one has a better more detailed world, a new challenge, better physics and more weapons. Need I say more. Much better than the first one (which was amazing btw.)

Crackdown 2 doesn't do anything particularly bad, but either doesn't do anything to shine above the other games. Chaos and destruction are everywhere, even after we've cleaned up an area of the city, making it impossible to quietly explore the city in search of secrets and orbs, like in the first game. It's a fun game at first, but it wears quickly into a repeated more of the same.

Crackdown 2 is immense fun, but this is thanks to the fact that its core gameplay remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. In a way, the game feels more like a slightly more evolved version of the original Crackdown than a true sequel.

This game is doesn't significantly build on or vastly improve any of the features of its predecessor, so those with high hopes for a stellar sequel will be disappointed. Still, Crackdown 2's core action and appeal remain very strong, and there is great potential for cooperative mayhem, making this a fun stop on your summer videogame tour.

Crackdown 2 expands on the empowering open-world gameplay that made the first game popular. If you are looking for a brand new game, you won't find it, but a slightly darker, smoldering Pacific City is certainly worth a second spin.

For a game to go to so much trouble to replicate its predecessor in so many ways it is downright amazing that it should fail so spectacularly. Co-op and competitive multiplayer adds an extra dollop of playtime, but if you've never played the first game you will have a much better time for a lot less money - and if you have played the original you will only end up hating both Crackdown 2 and yourself for wasting your time on this garbage.

Very similar to Crackdown 1 but it is somewhat of a downgrade. Locations all mostly feel the same. Missions of killing gang members have not changed much. The gunplay is again still basic but chaotic and fun. The zombies were really fun to mess around with but there was only like 3 types of zombies, so it does get repetitive killing them. The missions of staying in a hive and trying to destroy a nest did get very repetitive.

Crackdown 2 is more an update of the first part than a sequel. That´s a bit of a letdown, because the first game was very innovative. But if you liked part one, you should check this out.

The same game as the first entry, so boring. They didnt change much, but what they changed was for worse. I remember giving it up out of pure boredom.

I bought this thinking it would be just as good if not better than the first. I was a bit disappointed. The map was the same, the concept in gameplay was almost identical - with rogue elements thrown in, failing that, I found it lacked inspiration at source, the gameplay got very dull after half an hour and generally it was a lot less impressive than I had hoped for. If this is supposedly the next best thing since sliced bread to some critics, they're probably missing that the sliced bread is very stale.
