This is a very beautiful re-rendering of two classic adventure games. Not only have the backgrounds/charcter models and soul-stirring music/sound effects been revamped for the PS3, but the flimsy all-over-the-place cursor seen in the previous console versions has been optimised to make it specific for certain tasks in the games/puzzles. Having said that though, one of the flaws in this game is that moving the charcter to certain places may seem a little hazy, as the area/s of insterest may be obscured by a badly placed exit or door, or may be so far of the side of the screen you may miss it altogether! Also, despite some OTT person on here saying that it is a framerate of 10fps, I did not feel that at all, rather my second gripe was that the heroine often stuttered/became a bit juddery, e.g. when going from one area to the next, climbing a ladder, using a switch etc. Also, you may hear footsteps of her in some places, yet not in others, which is a bit strange to say the least. Apart from these minor issues, its still a very sweet and enjoyable tribute to two of the best adventure games from yesteryear, and also (I assume) one of the last few games to be released on the PS3 via the then newly formed THQ Nordic.

This game made me confirm 2 things; 1). just because you love a developer, it does not mean you have to love EVERY single game it has produced, and 2). big does not neccesarily mean yummy. As a fan of Skyrim and Oblivion (and the Mass Effect games), it hurt me to play Starfield only to get scared by the fact that if its this much of a trudge-fest (despit having some gorgeous graphics and gameplay elements) then how many more hours/weeks/months of this can I endure? I woudl arther go for short and sweet instead of cherry- picking my socks off all for the sake of a long winded adventure!

Three words to describe this; cheesy, silly and sketchy. If the shoddy gameplay and moronic characters wont wind you up, then the awfully-awful music will. I mean, how can a guy lose his head (literally), get it replaced with some sort of near-future contraption, then go on a convoluted mission to search for his actual missing head? All whilst pulling of tricks and acting really cool (apparently) as nothing untoward has actually happened? I dare not play this on my Series X in case I get the same visual shock of 'jaggies' that I got on my Xbox One S too. I have not played any of the actual Jet Set Radio games, but if this is a tribute or spiritual successor to them, then God help us all.

Ubisoft have done a really good job in terms of storyline, graphics and gameplay. The first thing that hits you is the sheer loveliness of the environments, they really draw you in if played on a large TV with a good resolution. The story is a bit OTT, but fun and interactive; at times it feels like you are watching a beautiful computer-generated Star Wars movie. The music at times is very dramatic and pulse. pounding (as is the theme in the SW universe). The gameplay is simple to pick up, although it does seem a little under-whelming at times, e.g. there are no cover mechanics whilst shooting behind cover, some of the platforming is a simplified version taken from Assassins Creed, etc. Overall, I would say its a more laid back approach, but feels very arcadey (especially when you ride your bike in open terrain, and fly your ship in space) and doesnt make your palms sweat a lot. Very picturesque, very open and quite fun to play too.

Given time and exploration, this is a nice tribute to "the family". Also you get a chance to play as one of four main characters, each with his or her own fighting abilities, power ups and abilities. The graphics are just as lush and gorgeous as Arkham Knight, and the gameplay is almost as easy to pick up and get into as the Arkham games too. The only issues I have is that the number of enemies per confrontation during battles is sparse, and there is slightly less to do as well, when compared to previous Arkham games. But overall it is a very engrossing and arcadey adventure, with a good storyline and dialogues (especially between the main heroes). I dont mind the repetitive nature of the beat downs of goons and solving of crimes, as long as it does not tax the brain to much; I have always said this that gaming should be a joy, not a chore. Its an alternative Gotham, but well worth getting indulged in!

I can start off by staying three words that end with ISH....Childish, garish and less-ish (as opposed to moreish, see what I did there?!). The original game was childish anyways, but was more tolerable than Ultimate; at least the music was easy on the ears, the dialogue was more of a 'Wii-loves-kiddies' realm, and the bloody wisps....dont get me started on those annoyances. The colour scheme is so off the wall and outlandish compared to the Wii version it makes your eyes balls ache if you look too hard. And bear in mind about 70% of the game is 2D, when this is meant to be a next gen console venture for Sonic (imagine how maligned Unleashed or Generations would have felt if 2D was way too much in those?). Finally, just tweaking the graphics, colours and music of the original does not exactly mean this is ground breaking. Ultimate makes matters worse by introducing more, yet leaving a lot more to be desired. The only slight (emphasis on slight by the way) improvement are the unloackable extras, but even those are a far cry when compared to say Forces or Unleashed. I would even go as far as saying that Sonic Heroes and 06 were more fun to play; at least you didnt cringe to this degree nor did you wonder if this game was more aimed at pre-school kids, rather than anyone else? Ok lets get the wisps out of the way too, seen as you are wondering....WISPS ARE A POINTLESS ANNOYANCE, THE SAME AS THEY WERE IN THE 2010 VERSION! There I said it. Phew!

Whilst this game improved in the graphics, storyline and controls, there were many things that made this fall flat on its face (otherwise it would have been a much more refined and a better experience). The map/minimap set up is a loada cobblers, rather than have binoculars you have a monocular (which you have to swirl around all around you in a hapless manner just to makr enemies or points of interest). And we have a grumpy git who is contstantly moaning in your ear (whther its good news or bad) thus diminishing your morale boost. Sometimes the enemies are so tough, you would think they are absorbing bullets into their spongy bodies. A very dislikabel game to be honest, when I was expecting a complete overhaul comapred to the 1st disaster I played, i.e. Farcry 1 and its spoin-offs.

The main thign is once you are in the flow of things, all well and good, but the moment you get surrounded thats it, you have to try again and again at the last saved check point to beat the bad guys (and some just spot you out of nowehere no matter how godo yoru cover is or wheer you are standing). The main reason you want to keep playing this unique twisted shooter is the tense yet hilarious dynamic between the main charaters of Kane and Lynch; you just dont know what misjudged step one of them will take, that will land them into even more trouble! The enemies keep coming at you no matter where you are, and you have to be vigilant all around you in case you are caught off guard. Despite having somewhat terrible controls, its a game really worth playing for its story, OTT action and cutscenes. The fact that you can guide your team mates to fight or move into another position is nicely done (the night club kidnapping of a Triad leaders daughter is one fo the most intense moments of the game) although its a bit troublesome when you are down and out and need a dose of adrenaline to get you back in your feet (and yes, we all hate overdosing!!!!). The graphics seem a bit sketchy for a 2007 game, but are tolerable. This is perhaps one of the most grittiest 3rd person shooters I have ever played.

Again call me bland and old school, but this is another example in the series that shows how to soup up an already wonderful game. True it feels more like the first game, but it has all the vibes, colours, graphics and in your fac action that would be expected of a Xbox One-era game. I kind of felt like it was like Agents of Mayhem, but with more oomph. The controls have been tweaked and I felt more at home during combat. The mixture of life-like cutscenes coupled with better cel shading is refreshing. The story is interesting, if not better, than the mutant invasion we got in the second game, but every chracter you encounter is quirky and off the wall, but in a kind of way that you still want to keep playing and bringing down the bad guys. And for once you can play as both male and female agents (more are unlocked as the game progresses). Finally, little tweks in the HUD make navigation a lot more easier, mainly the mini map and overhead compass. This is one of the best and exclusive open world, crime-fighting, 3rd person shooters for the Xbox One, and offers a lot of fun if you enjoyed the 1st two games.

Now despite the boos and hisses abotu this game, its a more loveable venture for me for a variety of reasons, when compared to the 1st game. First of all, gone is the teeth-grinding mission director, and we have a more down to earth guy who actaully appreciates the lengths your agent goes through to reduce crime. Then there's the agent himself (well, you have a selection of one out of four, but hey ho), who is more streamlined and easy to handle, and powersup well too. PLus we all like a helmet/mask that conceals any grim features and makes you tough as nails! This time round the groahics are even more refined, and there are nice cutscenes (as well as an intruiging story to boot). Lastly (although this concept I have not personally savoured) there is a 1-4 player option, wich is mostly fun via multiplayer. Lastly, its not just everyday vehicles you cant take command **** now have planes, tanks and choppers to run riot it. This is how a sequel should be made; take all the good things from the previous game and add a bit more spice to it.

The best thing this game has going for it is the open world environment. Lots of bad guys to shoot, and a GTA-esque map and travel system. Thecel-shaded graphics at the time of release seemed awesome, although they are a tad sketchy 29 years later I guess. Apart from this the game barely has storyline, the constant yammering of the mission director (who often seems to be in a bad mood like a disgruntled army major) becomes repetitive, as does teh **** gun shoot, drive somewhere new, rinse and repeat. And get this, once you are surrounded by a loada enemies (especially when you have not powered up enough via orbs) you can easily get overpowered and have to start again. This game is fun, dont get me wrong (anything GTA-like is, esp if you are a law-maker rather than a breaker), its just that the sequel refined all that was dull in the 1st game, so playing it again after so many years seems like a repetitive slug fest most of the time.

One word comes to mind; SLOPPY. Gun and sword combos? Inadequate cover and fire system? Powering up? Music? Sketchy, half-baked storyline? Repetitiveness? Graphics that wouldnt have troubled a Xbox 360? Characters that are teetering on the verge of being admitted to the looney bin? Yes they all point to one thing, SLOPPINESS. All I can say is thf FPS is stable most of the time, but even that is not enough of a fad to illicit a gasp of sheer joy. I should have known, because I hate Dead or Alive, and only loved Ninja Gaiden 3 and Yaiba (i.e. didnt follow the norm/bandwagon of die hard/rock-solid DOE or Ryu Hayabusa fans). And if the creators wnated players to have a trip down memory lane in terms of gameplay, well you really got the joys of yesteryears 8/16-bit era messedup by mutating them into a modern yawn-inducer.

Let me start off by saying that I only give this game a 1 simply because of the addition of exploration in a turn-based **** onto my barrage of hatred for this game that I wanted to love, but couldnt. Like Duke Nukem, I hate pigs, enough said. So to play as a arrogant hog (presumably for the first few minutes of the game, until you can change characters???) was verycringeworthy. Then there's Howard the Duck, and a girl who looks Lara Croft one minute, and a female version of Clayface the next, and the relatability or love for everyone invloved slowly disintegrates. I feel sorry for the old man who is leading these silly mutants, because he is such a darling. Also, I could barely hear music in any of the levels. The gameplay is quite shoddy too; once you are surrounded by the very sly enemies, thats it, there is a very miniscule chance of you surviving, and dont get me going on teh babysitting of a fallen comrade **** you supposed to fend off the cheeky buggers or tend to your bleeding squad mate (Quake Wars-style)? Lastly, games liek Xcom and Narcos are far better than this. At least you get the main gist of the game and understand the underlying mechanics behind it, and not fall prey to being totally buffed up and full of ammo, then get everyone on your team done for after all that exploring (for silly junk parts, of all things!!!)

There is one outstanding thing that really winds me up about this game. I hate pathetic wannbe singers jeering and venting out their anger at judges (as demonstrated by the ranting and raving of such dweebs at Simon Cowell and Co at failed X factor trials). Also the art, whilst being quirky and upbeat, seems to remind me **** (and moronic) version of Dexter's Laboratory, 20 years later. The combat is interesting, but not enough to crave more of it. And the music is all well and good, and good to listen to, but thats about it; it doesnt fuse well with the gameplay like in other games such as Lumines, Eden or (if its really combat and rock we are talking about) Brutal Legend. I had high hopes for this game, because I was looking for a quirky fusion of Guitaroo Man with Ninja Gaiden, but was broken hearted. All flash, but no substance.

This game made me ponder about an over-excited runner in a race; In order to show off it's exceptional athleticsim (in other words, its graphical superbness) the designers of this ill-conceived "showcase" decided to ignore or focus very little on other aspects of the game. These missed opportunities were storyline, gameplay/enemy structure, and controls. Whilst its not as shiny as its PC release (andthe controls have been tweaked for non-PC FPS players) its still a wreck **** to get to grips with. For example, do you conserve your stamina for the all important cloak or body armour, or do you use to make a dash to any available (and pathetic) cover in the vicinity? Ok, the routes you take and the choices you make form the crux of the game, but how can you concentrate on what lies ahead or what is happening around you when you have so little time and stamina to react with, after you have concetrated your efforts in dashing/cloaking etc? Its no wonder the series didnt conjure up a Crysis 4, simply because all the bells and whistles were over-used in the 1st ever game, leaving little or no one-up scenarios in the other two games. Also, if you are going to fuse realism with sci-fi/fantasy, at least make it wholly enjoyable; this is why COD is still thriving after almost 30 years.

In a nutshell, I played this game more than 10 years ago. I hated it, and I still do after re-trying it in 2025. It was the 1st reason (the second being Episodes From Liberty City) that I almost gave up the GTA universe. And why do I hate this over-hyped game? Well, the list is as follows; OTT arrogant/trash-talking characters, bland environments and music (I have lived through the 1990s and it was not this dull or dumb as far as I can recall), sketchy controls, awful storyline that is even more convoluted via the dialogues, and lame graphics (yes I know it was better looking on the 360, but the OG Xbox version should have at least not looked a lot worse than Vice City or GTA 3 in 2004; these two were easy on the eyes at least). The only reason why I even bothered to awards this mess a score of 1 is that the frame rate was steady. Otherwise the games before it were far far more tolerable. And people say that Liberty City Stories and 4 and 5 are terrible. Well, looks like these people jump on the bandwagon and follow the dummy norm!!!!

Even minor things such as pausing is an annoyance (the game does not actually pause, as your car comes to a shuddering stop and all other cars race on by). Then there is the pinball-like feeling when you collide with cars, barriers, trees, etc.....true its all realism and NFS-like, but it totally **** out the fun factor that was once very real in previous NFS games such as Most Wanted and Hot Pursuit....Also, the sound track in here feels like a choppy edited basement trash, made by a skechy DJ **** no, never heard of the artists, ever......compared to Most Wanted, the cops vs criminals aspect is really dumbed down, and I just cant get the same high I got from playing both sides fo the law as I did from previous NFS **** boost? And this is before the second cutscene has even ended! Then gameplay wise, its okkkaaaaayyyy but nothing that stands out or is **** fact, its just as moronic as the cutscenes tbh. The graphics should really have been top notch, seen as its Travellers Tales, but hey **** only a 2002 game. The graphics really stand out on HDTVs, and arevery photo-realistic. Although you cant pull off major stunts, there are many occasions when you hold your breath by whatever is happening on screen. There are often times where you get an arrow to guide you everywhere around the track whilst racing. A superb tense fps! For a 2004 PS2 game it has aged well and is still fun to play even after 20 years. You can tell that a lot of love and effort has been made in its production. Although the Killzone games after it have polished up the gameplay, graphics and story, you still get the same buzz you got when you first entered its world. The only issue I have is that the gun handling may seem a bit off-piste, in that when you try to target enemies, its not always precise; you find that jiggling the reticle here and there most of the time makes you feel a bit silly as you try to aim and gun down your enemies. But its a nostalgic FPS that made way for even more exhilarating titles in the series. This is a really good starting point for all Killzone fans and shooter-lovers in general.

I bought and played this in the hope that it would be a massive improvement on the original. Dont get me wrong, it is very easy on the eye with the souped up graphics, mission variation and menu **** the gameplay was never an issue before or **** the main thorn in the side was and is the **** very easy to get lost and lose your bearings unless you memorise every nook and cranny of the map.Once this starts to give you a migraine, you lose interest in the story, gameplay, adventuring etc. Compared to its sequels, which were far more engaging on all levels, even the Anniversary edition failed to impress to a greater degree than was anticipated.

Keanu Reeves? Check! Movie-to-game joy? Check! Horror/action? Check! Lots of lore from the movie/comic books! Check check check! A rare treat for the very underrated movie. It is more or less a backstory for the movie, plus it introduces friends and foes that were touched upon or absent from the movie, as well as re-introducing some who we already know, like Papa Midnite, Angela Dodson, and Father Hennessey. On Xbox, the game really shines in terms of graphics, and the controls are very easy to get used to (definitely compared to the convoluting ones on PC!!!). As you progress the game you come across more viscous enemies, lore (unlocked by collecting tarot cards) and upgrades/weapons/spells to guide you in your fright filled quest. The voice acting is the best...even though Constantine is not voice by Keanu himself, the tone and attitude is very lovable just like in the movie. This is the one of the best action games allied to a movie that I have played, and was as much fun as the movie.

Woo hoo its back to Antartica...oops i **** 3, the snow filled dreamscape full of large VS suits, creepy enemies, and over-enthusiastic characters who are in your face...either to offer buddy-like advice or to tell you off for being a silly Billy, or to lecture you to bordem with a gun in their hands! A more dramatic storyline than the first two games, with Hollywood-esque cutscenes and dialogues. The action on screen fused with the graphics is mesmerizing, and when the music kicks in its more of a horror show than pure shoot to kill arcade fun. And that's about **** shooting is fun but not as thrilling as the first or even the second game. There are some QTEs e.g. when an enemy topples you over and comes at you with its claws or tendrils **** where on earth have the VS suits gone from the first game!? Ok you can wander (or plod around, if you are getting bored of it) around from point A to B to C in your mech, hack away the icicles or boulders in your way or even swat away the akrid like flies, but the joy of VS battles has all but been removed! The shooting remains more or less the same, except its a more over the shoulder melodrama this time, rather than more open third person shooter stance. A rather jolly game then, but not as fully engaging in terms of gameplay. And this is the straw that broke many hearts, and broke the camels **** bade farewell to a series that should have stayed on; new adventures would have looked and played much better on XNONE/PS4/PS5 etc. But oh the loss, my friends, the loss!!!!!

Now then what on earth has happened here....from the snow capped landscapes we enter a sun-kissed tropical oasis of sorts! A nod to our own real life scenario of global-warming perhaps? Anyway, its a change of scenery, storyline and enemies as we embark on a more team-based adventure as snow **** you are not in the thick of it alone this time. The storyline is more action packed and far more engaging that the first game; the action in some of the cutscenes really draws you into the story. There is a boss fight above a running train, with a snake-like lizard that blasts out of the sand beneath you, as well as a battle with two massive dragon-like bosses that scream shock waves at you! This time the enemies come at you more ferociously, the environments (although no longer snowy) really make you want to explore and hunt down enemies, and again the music can range from serene to dramatic depending on the situation. The presentation and menus look more refined this time round, with more options to change how your character looks, as well as other multiplayer options. And, although small, there is the STRIKE A POSE option!!!! Now why didnt anyone think of that before eh??? The only small issue with this game is the slowdown in frame rate when a few boss fights get hectic, but its only in a few parts of the game. This is an under rated gem, and the reason why it fell from grace was that most people wanted that snow filled dreamscape from the first game, yet did not appreciate the transformation in the sequel.

This is the first game that made me realise how lush snow is! From the foot prints in the snow, to the knee deep grpahics as you trudge through the terrain, to the clink and massive cracking of frozen enemies as you hit them with your gun, and the fact you have to keep your thermal energy up all the time! Its all here! Then there are the massive enemies you have to deal with..sometimes in massive battle suits..this is pure arcade fun, in a rare hostile environment. The music can be absent one minute, and suddenly kick in, getting chaotic as the enemies or bosses appear. And everything is so picturesque and ultra realistic (on PC it really shines, but the 360 version does a very decent job of it too). The only issue is that the story is somewhat cheesy in places, and the dialogues between characters does seem a bit off the wall, but its tolerable. All in all, this type of game is a rare gem thats hard to replicate. The colonies edition offers more in terms of levels, characters and weapons.

This is not a tournament or champsionship game as such, although if played in multiplayer mode (is this possible?) it can offer a similar challenge. But the main fun to be had is the single player mode, which is a break from the norm I guess! The storyline is rather good, as you are sent on missions from your mothership to all sorts fo weird and wonderful landscapes. As a space marshal, it is your duty to investigate the strange happenings per mission, and (in a typical Unreal fashion) shoot the ugly looking monstrosities back to hell. To start off with, you are a solo artist, then more joy-infused and trigger happy do-gooders join your team to ease the pressure and churn out more firepower. And, speaking of which, the sounds, graphics and controls are so smooth and realistic. And this is a game developed without the Unreal engine!!! The only slightly annoying issue is the load times, which do leave you tapping your foot in irritation. But its well worth the wait as you embark on your breathtaking missions. A rare treat for Unreal or FPS fans!

This is by far the most awful Star Wars game I have ever played. The first thing to hit you is the frame rate, then the horrid graphics that would not look out of place on s PS2, the utterly childish dialogue and interactions and the playschool control scheme (its easy as a pie even on hard difficulty!). The movie fares far better than the game! The only tiny positive thing to come out of it is that Anankin has a padawan, so its a story that is unheard of unless you have already seen the movie. But to get more fun and interest, do not play this trash, instead watch the movie.

As Leon says early in the game, this game feels like "Having a bad case of deja vu" and if you have played games such as Resi 2 and 3 you will know what he is referring to! The graphics seem even sweet and slicker, plus the number of players you can control (each with their own story line) has been increased. It gameplay feels very arcadey, and carries on the third person shooter experience from Resi 4 and 5, with more refined controls (its thumbs up all the way when you want to thank or praise your partner!!!). The music is dark and brooding, and ramps up as the tension increases, and the graphics are even more photo-realistic than its predecessors. This is what modern Resi games should feel like, and its a heart-breaking shame that Resi 7 ditched all the above in favour of a dull FPS experience. I highly recommend playing this if you have loved the Resident Evil games so far, especially those based in an urban landscape.

The best, smooth-running, graphically superb version is the Dreamcast one. The story is one of a warrior turned vampire, who in his indirect arrogance, is cast into the underworld by his master Kain. Raziel is now guided by a very large underworld octopus demon (what else can you call it eh???) to seek Kain out and destroy him! The Gothic structures, heart-wrenching story (with twists and turns) amazing music and simple yet intriguing controls make for a great game in the late 1990s. Even after 25 years its great to play and enjoy. Its just as well they made Soul Reaver and Defiance too then!!!

A wonderfully brilliant PS1 game that's fun to play and makes your palms sweat! This is a rare treat that has never been replicated nor has a much-deserved sequel ever been made. The graphics are very good, the sounds are just right, and the controls are perfect. I cant say much about the storyline (cant recall what all the fuss was about haha!) but the stage progression, upgrade system and enemy/boss encounters are very arcadey and enjoyable. The music quite good too, fats paced when the action rmaps up and slow when there is a delicious cutscene or when you are simply wandering around. Forget Bomberman, this games blows that right out of the water! They dont make games like this anymore!!!

This has proved, yet again, that most PS2-era Midas games are soooooooooo **** are no cutscenes, no coherent storyline, and the gameplay is atrocious. All you do is chase down criminals in yawn-inducing chases in USA and Japan, then the action may go up a notch with your police cop buddies in tow, and **** well and good, if only the dialogue was not so damn cheesy and there was more action on screen. And controlling a cars seems at one point easy peasy, yet the next its as if you are running a wooden go cart on a cobbled pathway. A thoughtless-, action less, and mindless **** you want police action play NFS Hot **** PS2 or previous **** least they got most things, if not everything, right in such games!!!!

Its fun to start off with, the graphics are lush and the storyline is quite good, and who doesnt like a Sean Bean-like voice as the main character? But it eventually starts getting too good to be **** combat is really quite **** you want to be a bad guy blazing through it with no care for the outcome, then all well and good, but suppose you want to see the good guy emerge in the end? You just cant do it without avoiding a fight! The game mechanics are actually quite good combined with the **** its just the progression that is hampered in terms of combat.

Two words come to mind...unsettling and un-enjoyable. Gone is the 3rd person Asian-inspired flair, of previous Resi games and here we have a elongated scare fest that just that...a scare **** nothing **** as if Silent Hill got rid of the psychological horror mostly, went into FPS mode and added some macabre story and scenery a la Texas Chainsaw Massacre....I was never a fan of the Texas Chainsaw movies or whatever trash they were based **** this kind of atmosphere, characters and gameplay really does not entirely sound or look like Resi Evil anymore. The game tries to come across as Resi (e.g. jump scares, gory combat, save system, locked doors, etc) but the overall feel of the game and the 1st person perspective really does blow the wind out of the franchises sails. I would have said (Resi avoidance aside) its a good shock horror **** in its own way, but long plodding sections (Get Even really put me off such things), the 'been there, done that' storyline and absence of key Resi characters you can play seems so out of place. Why people were obsessed about this is beyond me.

Initially a bit of a off-putting endevour (bearing in mind I had fallen in love with UT3 before playing this) I thought I should give it a go yet again (as you do!) and give it a second chance. I then decided to spend more time practicing via the single player mode, to see whats on offer. I was reassured that this game was very good once you understood how to get your head around the controls. It is backwards compatible on the 360, and runs very smoothly without a hitch. The graphics are beautiful and the sounds/music are ancient Egypt fused with acoustics/drums and bass (each environment has its own uniqueness and ambiance). The character selection is also quite good, and you unlock more males and females from different factions, with their own abilities and weapons of choice, as the game progresses. What is so unique about this particualr Unreal game is that you can wield weapons like swords, spears or staffs alongside the usual guns Unreal has been famous for. Plus there special moves, instant death moves and acrobatics that have been introduced (I dont think these ideas were ever implemented in previous or forthcoming Unreal games). The only two downsides of this game (although minor) is that the game gives ancient Egypt vibes throughout the entire game (it would have been good to have other themes such as a foreboding Necris arena, or juggernaut labyrinth etc). Also, at the time of playing, the original Xbox servers were dead and gone due to the 360 (even these passed out in later years!) so the joys of multiplayer were dashed. But the game on the whole is very nicely done and is a joy to play in single player mode, once you appreciate its gameplay and tactics.

first UNreal game I played, and one that got me hooked. The main joy of this is the multiplayer, although the single player mode is not too bad (just a practice session to say the least). The Unreal engine initiated its popularity due to this game, and oh how future games have held onto it; not only is the gameplay slick, it looks, sounds and feels good. Its such a shame this was the final offical Unreal Tournament/Championship game in the long-running series; there was a new one planned, but it was canned (yes, I am a poet too!), thanks to Fortnite. This is ultra fantastic arcade FPS bliss, and the more matches you played online the more you were drawn into it, whether you won a match or not. The ability to create your own levels, choose your faction/hero, and amend the appearance of your character was great. The whole package shines on the PC (the Black Edition incorporates every bonus content), and apparently there are still some dedicated fans out there who have kept the online matches alive. They dont make FPS's like this anymore! Forget Fortnite, give me a UT3 deathmatch anyday!!!!
