Collection of SaGa: Final Fantasy Legend doesn't do much to spruce up its titles beyond a turbo mode, but the original SaGa trilogy consists of three of Game Boy's most creative, and player driven JRPGs - all of which with their own unique identity. Legend is rough around the edges and almost has a beta quality, but its simplicity towards character customisation makes it very easy to start up a quick playthrough. Legend II expands on its predecessor everywhere it counts, featuring dynamic leveling, and a genuinely bizarre world with a lot of heart. Legend III is a conventional RPG comparatively, but it features enough oddities (nuanced character transformations and time travel) to even out into the most beginner-friendly entry in the collection. SaGa as a franchise prioritises smart battling at all times, and player driven party progression. This collection is a solid entry point into the series, and an even better dive into one of Game Boy's best trilogies.

Collection of SaGa: The Final Fantasy Legend is the perfect collection of these classic Game Boy screens, looking and sounding even better than the originals. Just keep in mind that they are early style RPGs so they require a ton of grinding!

Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend didn’t have the same impact on me this time around, about that there is no doubt. Once again, my nostalgia deceived me. I’d find myself getting distracted and annoyed at various turns through all three games. Nonetheless, with the clarity of time, the sheer ambition of these games is all the more obvious. For that, this package should be celebrated. Add to that the ability to speed up all three games, and Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend is a package worth picking up for those who have an interest in the history of the SaGa series, or just want to harken back to a (sometimes) simpler time.

The music, the graphic and the games, damn that i missed them. Seriously i have so many childhood memories of this game, and replaying those games brought me to some of the best times that i had with my older brother. So yea i cant stop recommending each of thems.

This is a fantastic collection of "Classic" JRPGs that were originally for the original Gameboy. That being said I am quite sure that is the reason for the mediocre scores it has received from users. Please watch videos about these games before purchasing. I may love and recommend these titles, but another may be disappointed. Know what your paying for and leave honest scores.

For the $20 price, the Collection of SaGA Final Fantasy Legend is still a fun bundle of games that serve as a wonderful time capsule for handheld RPG adventures, even if it is light on features.

If you have fond memories of playing the Final Fantasy Legend games on your Game Boy back in the day then Collection of SaGa is simply a must-have nostalgia trip. They may not hold up as well as some other RPGs yet these titles remain wonderfully unique and special.

Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend contains three good games, but lacks any extras like manuals, save states, or cheats other than game speed to make it stand out. It’s certainly a better effort than any of Nintendo’s recent re-releases, but we can do much better to preserve the history of games.

The collection provides around forty hours of gameplay to complete and does a good job of scratching the nostalgia itch. This collection is a fine example of how games were enjoyable with limited technology and rather simple gameplay, but the limitations are even more apparent now and makes the player appreciate how far modern games have come with storytelling and clearly laying out objectives. But even with all the limitations of the time aside, which can sometimes make the games frustrating, this is a nice collection to take a trip down memory line or discover the origins of SaGa.

A faithful recreation of the original Final Fantasy Legend titles. Perfect for fans looking for a nostalgia trip, but not a great first entry into the series for new players.

Collection of SaGa Final Fantasy Legend has one great title from the Game Boy era and two other titles that can be appreciated for their place in gaming history but can be a slog to work through, even with a guide handy. People nostalgic for these games should be able to enjoy them on a modern system, but newcomers might be turned off by their antiquated designs.

If you missed out on the Final Fantasy Legend series back in the day, there's absolutely no better way to experience them in 2020. This collection could stand to be a bit less expensive in my opinion, but in truth, playing these games on your Switch is infinitely better than playing on the original Game Boy with physical carts. Highly recommend for fans of the series; not as much so for first-time Final Fantasy players as they're not nearly as accessible as later entries.
