First half of the movie is an excellent cyberpunk western while the second half turns in to a kid's movie. Odd pacing as a result and they could have tightened up the story by shedding 15-20 minutes. Still worth seeing on a big screen for the action sequences!

It’s my least favorite of the Ant Man series but still a perfectly fun way to pass 2 hours at the movies and I’ll watch it again at home, but not one of the Marvel entries I’ll see in the theaters several times. It’s a broad, generic sci fi action movie chock full of the expected tropes that misses the mark when it tries for earnestness. Definitely felt like a continuation of phase 4 more than the launch of a new phase.

Nothing special but very entertaining and worth a trip to the theater. A great example of how to do a reboot. The worst part of the whole thing was the cringey intro by Mr. Cruise.

I haven't been a big fan of this reboot in general but this was definitely the weakest installment. There are some big dumb action sequences that you can enjoy for what they are but don't expect much else.

A promising start but it fell apart in the 3rd act for me. Mckenna Grace was an absolute delight.

Definitely worth a trip to the theater to see this one. Grand and beautiful. Story is choppy at times and it suffers from a lot of the same weaknesses as other superhero movies but overall it offers a little something for everyone. This means it ends up trying too much occasionally but overall well worth the ride.

Probably my favorite movie of the year so far but I can absolutely understand why some folks have such strong negative reactions to it, especially considering how the trailer framed the story as much more of an action romp versus the solemn allegory that actually spilled out beautifully on screen.

Excellent acting and direction can't entirely save a contrived story. There are moments of both sheer joy and anguish present here but overall it just feels slightly out of step.

Another round of edits would've really helped this movie out. A few amazing scenes but simply too much cruft that really take away the momentum of the main plot. The humor is painful even by Star Wars standards.
