While it doesn't do anything new, it's one of the best action games ever and it looks REALLY good. Glad to see Rachel, Momiji and Ayane return to the combat with updated looks.
I think Wukong feels a lot like action games I've already been playing for years. Black Myth has a problem retaining my interest. The title feels like substantial proof that you can have a mechanically sound game in every department and still miss the mark.
While the theme is commendable, I don't think a lot of people are realistically happy with four-hour games that take five years to make. Which brings me to my next point: Microsoft Studios caters to developer's time and need but doesn't value what the player asks for or would like to see. Otherwise, we would have seen a new Banjo-Kazooie by now, which is a lot more fun than whatever they tried here.
I don't understand why PS5 is the recommended-on Metacritic when the PC version is far superior. The animation coupled with the epic combat moments are why people should be playing games in the first place. I like the simplicity of the story and appreciate that it can be told without mountains of painful lore.
It's sad to me that this game is so buggy to the point where it's almost unplayable. The servers are busted as well so there is no winning with Helldivers 2, and there wasn't with the first game either. Outriders was more stable than this.
Solid proof that you can have a game with an overpriced budget and still miss the mark. This update stands no chance against the Witcher III's completely free update in terms of visual use; there isn't much of a difference at all.
Dead by Daylight is completely outdated, and unless you are obsessed with pallets and lockers there is very little immersion in comparison to the beauty of Texas Chainsaw Massacre. The licensed characters remain to be the most interesting element to this overrated title that should at this point be a free to play game.
Does the original SNES version of Super Mario RPG still have the most charm? Sure, it does, but the SWITCH version does give you an alternative way to play one of the best turn-based RPGs of all-time; and it still looks magical to me.
Rogue Heroes is a split-screen co-op adventure game, and these titles are hard to come by; so, if you like A Link to the Past and have a few friends there is no doubt you will enjoy Ruins of Tasos.
One of the smoothest racing games I've ever had the pleasure to play. Even if the game is missing a lot of great cars, I feel like there is enough variety to warrant racing a plethora of laps.
Baldur's Gate 3 is an extremely addictive and gorgeous game to look at. The PC split-screen feature is quite possibly the most astonishing thing I've seen, and it works incredibly well.
Return to Moria has its fair share of bugs, but the builder is fun, the mechanics feel balanced, and the lore is very well written as most Lord of the Rings content is.
I guarantee you the critics that rate it low didn't get past the second level. The port is just fine, and if you've never played it before giving it a go wouldn't hurt you.
Spider-Man 2 is an 8-hour game with a plethora of bugs. Unless you are really in love with set piece gaming and traversing the same city again with no purpose this game is a total waste of time.
Every critic that rated this masterpiece (CNET properties, IGN) low is a Sony fanboy and it was predicted a long time ago that it would be this way. Jim from the defiant Pony-Land (UK/CMA) is the biggest, and probably the most revolting individual (a YouTube comedian not a professional critic) who for whatever reason is allowed to post reviews on Metacritic. It's a shame that system wars are settled these days with dishonest reviews.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre is more like Splinter Cell's Spies vs. Mercs than Friday the 13th or Dead by Daylight. The Exits are essentially the ND133s and I think that the 3v4 is a lot more inviting to the predator-based character and it's a nice change from what we've seen from the cat 'n' mouse genre in recent memory. The environment is gorgeous; like it was absorbed right out of the picture. Gun Interactive made sure that the game was authentic to the iconic 1974 film.

I personally don't care at all about Square Enix after they betrayed Microsoft, and the truth is their games haven't been great in years anyway. They lost their heart and soul and sold it Sony because the characters in Final Fantasy XVI are dull, empty-headed and soulless. The combat is a carbon copy of KH and DMC which doesn't translate well in FF and the graphics are drab if you aren't watching a summon. Characters lack personality and face textures. I don't care how many people love it or hate this review; I can only be real and say FFXVI is absolute trash.
I would argue that Exoprimal is not a bad experience if you factor in that you can play it on Game Pass Day 1. As a full-priced game it's definitely not worth the time or money. The mechanics are not bad, and the game doesn't look bad; but it never reaches far beyond to exceed your expectations.
Atelier Marie Remake has a lot of heart, it's turn-based and is based off the original first game. Now is the perfect time to start your journey with Atelier. Is it as great as the recent Atelier Ryza 3? Probably not, but these old school vibes, and great turn-based combat with character events are absolutely enthralling.

I'm going to review this not as a fanboy, but as a fan of wrestling games. Mechanically, it blows WWE 2K out of the water. The wrestling feels like homage to 'No Mercy' and I say that in the best way possible. WWE 2K's Irish Whip for instance is almost completely incoherent whereas Fight Forever's works perfectly proving that 2K's realistic graphics actually hampers the mechanics greatly. WWE 2K wins in terms of production value, but AEW wins in terms of wrestling which also happens to be a similar comparison to the real-life TV shows. AEW should start a tournament scene for the game and get a community going for it to outshine the negative reviews that only highly rate blockbuster games like God of War. Fight Forever is a FANTASTIC foundation to build on, and overall, it's more fun than slow, overly realistic 2K games.

PS4 players are dismissed from playing an already terrible game with some of the worst repetitious mechanics in games today. After you get past the graphics and photo mode what's left is a barren world and a mediocre experience that I couldn't recommend to anyone.
It's funny to me how some games like Cyber Punk and Star Wars get a free pass from critics when it comes to sustainability but exclusives like Forspoken and Redfall get destroyed by ratings when they do the same thing of a big-budget multiplatform game.
Probably the most overrated remake to come out in quite some time. The original came out almost twenty years ago and it pulled off the narrative better than this. Ada looks extremely adolescent, the blood is rubbery looking, and it doesn't have the grit from the original title. The parry is rubbish and absolutely unnecessary. It literally turned a horror action game into just an action game. Also, the multiplayer came out late to avoid the outcry of pay-to-win.
More free quality content from Sega. They've really come around these past few years within: Media, Movies, Television and Games. It's great to see them offering stuff like this and showing that they care about their main brands. Now if we could just get more Sega Shenmue and Virtua Fighter.
Irredeemable Sony is proving that they care too much about Microsoft's affairs and not their own titles. The reason Microsoft doesn't need to sell XBOX systems like Sony has to sell PS5 is because Microsoft understands how a PC and Console Eco System WORKS. You got a TV? You got an XBOX! You got a phone? You got an XBOX. It's called an ECO SYSTEM that works and Sony does nothing with theirs but release buggy bombs like this on PC.
Why is 2K so lazy?!? They have no problems subtracting superstars that left the company a few months ago, but they can't change the gimmicks and storylines to be more current. Nothing carries over to this game from 2022, so get ready to make your characters and collect card sets ALL over again. This game totally feels like a patch to the last game, and they are charging insane prices again. If you have 2022 already, don't bother! It's a shame it's not on game pass, because it is NOT worth full price by any means.
Trust me: the people rating this game ZERO for keyboard optimization are REALLY sus and they probably never have a chance of beating Lu Bu anyway. Go away.
Still not a great game, but it beats the bricks off the outdated PS5 version. The appeal behind Returnal will always allude me because I've simply played 10x better in the Science fiction department.
I wouldn't call a remake of an old game a shadow drop in the same sense of Hi-Fi Rush, but seeing as how much better this remake looks, I guess that could be up to date. I'm not playing when I say this is the first time I've been visually impressed by a Switch title.
Yet another multiplatform game that holds better frame rate on Series X. IN just a few months: Dead Space, Witcher 3 and now Hogwarts runs better on XBOX. I think it's becoming clear that Series X is by far the better console. The game is okay, but it's kind of repetitive, and I'm shocked with how little there is to do to make it stay interesting.
Another OUTSTANDING game for XBOX and PC players by Microsoft Studios. They've truly outdone themselves with keeping the strategical gameplay fresh and accessible. The graphics are very pleasing to the eye for this type of game, the soundtrack also helps keep your mind into the experience. I highly recommend this title and hopefully this is the game that puts Age of Empires where it deserves to be as upper-tier strategy game.
Pretty sad that the PS5 can't hold 60 frames with Dead Space. It's a great game, but it runs better on XBOX Series X (like most games that are multiplatform) and PC (the holy grail of games).
Imagine if Kingdom Hearts was a mechanically satisfying game, but that's probably not giving Hi-Fi Rush enough credit as it feels up there with upper-top class action games. It's a truly incredible game from Microsoft by their company Bethesda Softworks. Now let's see Microsoft take on Banjo-Kazooie with RARE studios.
Sony started 70 dollar games and this is what we get? A 720p title! Not only is Sony an insult to gaming, but Sony doesn't give a damn about its players or blind fan-base. They paid two years of exclusivity so that this pile of crap couldn't be released on XBOX and they say that XBOX is starting a monopoly? How hypocritical and superficial.
It's one of those games that requires your phone number to play. They are not only selling your information for free, but they are contributing to destroying the game market for their own greedy selves and are hoping you don't take a stand against them.
It looks MUCH better on XBOX Series X and PC but you wouldn't know that if you came to Metacritic where only the PS5 is served. This game also trashes God of War. Better story, better voice acting, better characters, less SJW and WOKE themes. And the fact that this update is FREE and adds so much should tell you Sony just wants more money for their horrible 70-dollar games.
I think player reviews, GOTY nominations by the players and STEAM reviews prove that this game was made for the players. The critics and media continue to prove they want nothing to do with Sonic and that's fine, but please take yourself out of the process of reviewing the game just to bash it. The combat is fluid, the graphics are actually fantastic; especially when you factor in the animation and it's an enjoyable game all around
It's not the worst game I've played, but I have a hard time understanding how someone could see this as enjoyable or as how they would want to spend their time. The mechanics certainly aren't completely broken but they are nothing special; like most games in 2022 it's a repetitive dinosaur that was rushed out the door.
This game was a 0 when it originally came out and the price-tag is too high for such a disgraceful lack of soul and content. Square Enix will just throw anything out and I think that's why I do not respect them. Final Fantasy Crisis Core for XBOX but not Remake for XBOX? This company is not loyal to its customer base and supporters. Jim Ryan completely dictates how they release games.
