The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters7
Jul 4, 2020
I liked the first one, despite some flaws in its mechanics and stuff. I was pretty exciting to try The Coma 2 Vicious Sisters. And it was a fun trip. In a way, even better than the first one. I remember that, sometimes, in the first game, I was lost in the school, looking at the huge map. Not the case here. Several levels, smaller, and except for the last level, I was never lost. Good level design then. The visual style is pretty cool, for the story (in a manga style) and for the gameplay (2D survival horror game). It controls nicely, easy to dodge, pick up objects. You have some easy puzzles as well, several enemies you need to avoid (by hiding, doing some quick QTE, dodging and using spray to escape their claws). The story is interesting even if you haven't played the first game. There are two endings depending of the key objects you have with you. Nothing revolutionay here, but the game does the job, and keeps you interested for 5 to 6 hours, maybe more if you want to collect everything.

Death Stranding8
Jun 26, 2020
I'm not a fan of Hideo Kojima. I never finished MGS4 because there was too much story and not enough gameplay. I liked MGSV despite its flaws because it's based mainly on the gameplay. Death Stranding was a bold move from the dev. Make a full game around a guy who just delivers package. Yes, like a giant sidequest, with side quests that looks like the other quests. But I liked it. For once, it's a "real" walking simulator, you have to be careful how fast you walk, on what you walk, how much weight you have on your back or in your hands. The world was great, and the good graphics help. The story was interesting even if in the last act, it's damn too long (but Kojima loves it). Fun to see famous actors (or directors like Del Toro and Refn) designed in the game. I spent almost 100 hours playing it. Was it fun? Death Stranding is not a fun game, it's not supposed to be fun. Was it challenging? Sometimes yes. Was it good? For me yes. I think those kind of games, trying new things, no matter what, and no matter fans expecting are important, and must exist. Does a game needs to be fun? Not really in fact, it depends what the game wants to achieve. I liked it, but not for everyone, and you definitely need to know what you're going into. If you want some fast paced action, fun gameplay, run away from it.

Blair Witch6
Jun 26, 2020
The game has great moments, hard to deny. Creepy atmosphere, dark forest, and of course the famous house. If it looks often like a walking simulator, there are many moments when you can die. No weapon here, just walking. The devs made a great job with the forest, you often feel totally lost, and it was the goal. The soundtrack is great. The dog, well, it's a cute doggy, but in the end, not really useful for the overall game, more a gimmick useful latter for the story. The last level is great, even if it lacks checkpoints. If you die at some point, you'll restart it from the start. Not my favorite kind of horror game (great atmosphere but almost no gameplay), but in its style, a good game.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint2
Jun 26, 2020
So many things to say about this game. I wasn't a fan of the previous game, Wildlands, but it was funnier to play. So, what is good in Breakpoint? Some environment are great, you can more often go in wide buildings. As often with Ubisoft, the shooting mechanics are good and respond well. Some ideas are good, like to stay on the floor and use mud or snow to hide yourself and kill enemy using stealth. But that's all for the good parts. There is the rest. Glitches everywhere, you have to loot at all time, so no need to customize your weapons, you'll change after killing just 2 enemies. You have to change weapons, equipment, everything, all the time, and it gives the game a bad rhythm. Shooting, menu, change your gear, shooting, changing gear again. Add to this microtransactions in the game, the fact that you have to stay online all the game, even when playing solo. THe open world is also not very interesting, and after a few hours, you'll just take a chopper to go to the new mission, or fast travel when possible. The driving is awful by the way, car or chopper, same. And they wanted to add a survival aspect, and it's ridiculous and not interesting, not one bit. A bad open world game!

Close to the Sun6
Jun 26, 2020
The gameplay is not great and finally, the game lacks of real gameplay. Puzzles, well, the same here. Graphics are good, the game looks great. The set and everything looks a lot like Bioshock, and it was clear from the start. Is it a rip off? No, it tells its own story, and that's good. The story and by extension, of course, the game, are pretty short. Nothing impressive by any mean, but it can keeps you entertained during your playthrough, and maybe after that you'll want to play Bioshock 1 and 2 again.

Call of Cthulhu: The Official Video Game6
Jun 26, 2020
So, at first, I didn't like the game at all. Not enough gameplay, no real exploration. I had to do it a second time after a few month to make up my mind, because there were still stuff I liked in the game, as a Lovecraft's fan. And now, I like it. Still not perfect, some parts are even bad I think, or have no logic. Like sometimes, you'll play another character, who has the same skills as the main one, who is supposed to be a detective, and a guy who can hide and stuff. But when you play someone else, it's the exact same gameplay. Too bad, I thought they could have done something great with the change of perspective, but they didn't. otherwise, it's a pretty good atmospheric game. The horror of the unseen, the story, it's familiar for fans, and a lovely love letter. Gameplay is really simple even if sometimes hard (one boss in particular, if you don't know what to do, you'll yell at your screen), graphics are not great but the artistic direction is interesting and good, sound is great.

Terminator: Resistance7
Jun 26, 2020
I expected nothing from it. After all, the last Terminator movie **** big time! But it was finally fun here. The atmosphere is like you imagined with T1 and 2, the story is short but goes well with the world built, the music is good and the main theme of course amazing. The gameplay is basic. Shooting, stealth, loot, craft, we know the formula since a while. Graphics are not perfect but clearly not bad. But if you love Terminator, it's a game to play, definitely, you'll have a very good time.

Marvel's Spider-Man7
Jun 26, 2020
Ok, first of all, I'm not a Spider-Man fan. But the game was on sale, low price, and I thought why not. And in the end, it's a pretty good game. Not perfect, sometimes lazy and using stuff we've seen a thousands time (ah, the antenna to reveal the maps and stuff.....), with a fighting system coming straight from the Arkham saga, but controller in hands, it's fun to play, the story is often easy to guess but interesting enough, graphics are amazing most of the time, very polished game, great soundtrack. Sometimes, you also play as MJ, and if it's not really interesting, it's nice to see a change of gameplay. Not perfect, not game of the year, but very fun to play, easy plat for those interested too.

SG/ZH: School Girl Zombie Hunter2
Jun 26, 2020
So, let's be clear. I liked the Onechanbara games. Ok, often, graphics are bad, controls are simples, stories are stupid and the games are shorts. But it's often fun to play once in a while. Like, you can relaunch the game, play for one or two levels, have fun, and that's it. SGZH wants to be a game sets in the same world. And they changed the swords and other blades for guns. Bad choice. The gameplay is horrible, the level design lazy and we often go to the same levels again and again. Levels are very short (some can be beaten in only 2 or 3 minutes), and the game becomes boring pretty fast. Ok, it's fun when you can throw your clothes to attract zombies, but it's fun the first time because it's stupid. Then it's boring too. Otherwise yeah, bad graphics, bad controls, lazy story, repetitive, boring. Waste of time.

Moons of Madness6
Jun 26, 2020
This game wants to be a survival horror, in space, with Lovecraft's inspiration. Why not, I love horror, I love space, I love Lovecraft. Is it good? It's oki. Let's say most of the time, it's more a walking simulator than a real survival horror. The atmosphere is still pretty good, some moments are spooky. Writing is often good but has some bad moments too, some flaws. Puzzles are really easy, graphics are good, same for the sound. I had fun with the game, even if I'll forget it after a while.

Final Fantasy VII Remake8
Jun 26, 2020
At first, I didn't wanted to play it. Then, I played the demo, and I thought "well, why not, it looks good, plays good, sounds good". So I bought it, and finished it in 40 hours. There are some great stuff in it, and some bad. Great stuff, well, it's a nice 40 hours adventure. The soundtrack is amazing, character models are too. The combats, not turn based now, are pretty good, funs and dynamic. Some bosses are great. It adds a few things to the story, some are great (chapter 4 with Jesse was nice), some not so good (the train station, blah). The game often looks amazing, and sometimes, it looks like a early PS3 game (in chapter 5, when you look down at the slum, eeeeeeeh). When you finish the game, except doing it again in hard mode for a few more bosses, there is nothing else to do. The side quests are rewarding, but not interesting, at all. But overall, it's a good game. The ending seems divisive, I'll wait to see what's next with Part 2 before having a definitive opinion on it.

Deliver Us The Moon7
Jun 26, 2020
So, I loved the atmosphere, the sound design, the story was pretty good and I liked the ending. It's one of those little indie games that won't change the industry, but that always feels good to play. Not especially long, and definitely not hard, but fun to play and interesting. Just one moment that got me yelling, when you have to go slowly between some electricity things, several times in a row, with no gravity. Maybe I'm just bad but it was frustrating haha. Only that moment tho, the rest of the game was good. Loved also the parts when you go outside, with the heavy silence of the moon.

Daymare: 19986
Jun 26, 2020
Another game I couldn't wait to play, as a fan of the 90s survival horror games! And in a way, it's exactly what I wanted, and what I expected. A game with a 90s feel and design. Creepy atmosphere, zombies and other mutants, limited ammo, puzzles, it has it all. But a few glitches (one bad one, had to restart the game, and my save was far away), a way to reload your weapons that is weird and unnecessary complicated, one very complex for nothing puzzle (damn Greek keyboard), and sometimes a very bad framerate (also an enemy that follows you in the sewer and with its gameplay, blah). Is it broken? Sometimes, definitely seems that way. Is it bad? No. Definitely worth a look if you like the genre. But definitely not a great game. There were better survival horror back then, and better now.

Persona 5 Royal9
Jun 26, 2020
So, the original P5 was one of my favorite JRPG, and my favorite JRPG from the PS4. Does P5 Royal manage to do better? Yes. But if you thought the original game was already too long, or had too much dialogues, it's probably not for you. If you loved it, this new version is better. New characters (I loved Kasumi), a new semester at the end with a new palace, new scenes, a few new combat mechanics, around 30 new music, Memento is bigger and not the same, and they also added lots of little things here and then, including a new place to hang out with your friends. It's still fun, still addictive, the characters are still amazing, the final is great (with a bad guy who is really interesting in his motivations). Atlus made it again!

Resident Evil 36
Jun 26, 2020
So, here it is, another game for 2020 that some people hate it, and other love it. Technically, it's perfect. Same engine as RE2 from last year, more variety to the levels, and so, to the visuals. Sound is great, the soundtrack too, with more tracks from the original game. The story changes major events from the original games. Some loved it, some hated it. I think it was a good move. I mean, what's the point playing the exact same game with better graphics? Except making money and sell the game to a younger audience of course! RE3 changes a lot, and wants a fast pace. The problem is not here in fact, the problem is that, they removed events from the original, changed things, but didn't add a lot to replace all that. Consequences? The game is short, very short, and there is no replay value. Just one character, one ending, one straight line, and that's it. I would say it's a good little game, but far from the original, and far from RE2 remake last year.

Little Misfortune8
Jun 26, 2020
A short game, yes, around 3 or 4 hours, but a good experience. The graphics are cute and fun, the voices are good, the adventure is not hard but choices are sometimes. The world the team built is pretty good, and it's fun to be in it. Some parts are pretty heavy, some are geniusly funny, especially thanks to its main character, Little Misfortune, and how she reacts to the world around her. If the game was longer, maybe it wouldn't work that well actually.

Days Gone7
Jun 26, 2020
I waited a year before buying and playing the game. The bad reviews at launch, huge patches, glitches, bad framerate. Now, it's almost all gone, and the game is fun to play. Ok, there is still one major glitch during one mission late in the game, but easy to fix by just launching the game again. Otherwise, yes of course, it's a very generic open world game. Zombies, the apocalypse, a huge open world, crafting, side missions. It only adds hordes in the mix, and it does it pretty well. But what it does, often, even if nothing new here, it does it pretty well. The beginning was not great, but then the story and characters become better, and using your bike to go through this apocalyptic setting is pretty fun. It's just a game you have to enjoy like a B movie. It's fun, easy going, it has some great moments, but nothing more, nothing to make your jaw falls to the floor. Just a good little game.

Beyond Blue8
Jun 26, 2020
I was waiting for this game. In the end, it doesn't disappoint, if you don't expect too much from it. Gameplay is basic, just swimming in the ocean, crossing different species, different whales and sharks, and always go deeper. That's it, for 4 or 5 hours. But it's a very relaxing game, sold for a low price (in France, 15 euros, so basically 13 dollars or something). So if you like the sea, if you like relaxing games where you can't die or fail, it's perfect for you.

Maneater4
Jun 26, 2020
So, I wanted to love this game, I was expecting it, after all, playing a shark can be so fun. But in the end, this 12 hours adventure became quickly boring. 8 zones basically, and each time, you do the same things again and again. Eat some humans, eat 10 fishes from that species, find collectibles, find the big hunter of the zone, and here you go, next one. The first hours were fun to play. Easy gameplay, graphics are ok, but when you notice there is nothing more to do, to learn, it becomes boring. Shame.

Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories7
Jun 26, 2020
I must say, I'm a fan of the Disaster Report's games. Loved the second one. This one is great, but still have the usual bad parts of those games. Technically, it's far from great, sometimes not even good. But on PS4, the framerate is at least constant. The camera sometimes becomes crazy in small corridors, and maybe the second part of the game is less impressive, with less disasters and a more human's side to the story. But it felt good to play this game again, to have those heavy moments, to survive earthquake and stuff. Worth playing if you like those games, and want to play something different.

The Last of Us Part II8
Jun 26, 2020
So, this game doesn't deserve a 10. And by no mean a 0. Yes, ND made some bold choices. They delivered the story they wanted, and not the one fans wanted. Fine by me. Creative decisions, characters, it all belongs to creators, and should not belong to fans (look at the Disney trilogy for SW, each film trying to listen to fans...). I liked the story, even if far from perfect (maybe playing Abby sooner instead of a 10 hours part late in the game would be better). The gameplay is basically same as the first, with a few more possibilities (jump, crawl, dodge). Graphics are often fantastic, same for the sound design. The level design is better than the first game, more varieties for the levels, some great parts to play (the forest by night, the building late in the game, the first encounter with the scars). No major glitches for me. Just found the introduction a bit too long, the AI is still far from perfect (but more aggressive and more enemies), and basically, the progression is the same as in every ND Games. But great adventure.
