Some levels were way too long. Levels 30-60 were great, but levels like 17 and 22 were awful to play through because of their tediousness and length. Some movement felt off, specifically because there is no coyote time. Some models felt out of place, but the overall art style was fine. The game is actually a fun time if the levels were shorter, like levels 30-60.

Controls are bad, especially on pc. The game actually tells a good story at the beginning, but the awful gameplay really ruins it. Also, the story kind of gets weird later on and doesn't make much sense. Cool concept, but the execution was bad.

The game has an amazing atmosphere and a good story, but falls flat on a lot of the gameplay. Many of the tasks feel like chores. A lot of the gameplay is monotonous. I also ran into bugs, some requiring me to restart the game and lose progress. Despite this, the game has creative storytelling, which makes up for the game's shortcomings. I feel like if there was a bit more play testing to understand which sections are fun as well as catch any bugs, then this could have been an amazing experience because there are a lot of great Ideas here. in short, the execution was a little disappointing but still a decent experience.

A very interesting game that takes a new perspective from the view of the final boss. The game is unique and doesn't overstay its welcome, but at the same time, the scope of the game is small. Everything about the game was executed well, but I can't help but feel like this could just be a side mode in a more complete game. It's really strange how the game feels to play as you are most powerful at the beginning when the hero is at his weakest, and throughout, you become less and less powerful compared to the hero. I almost feels like you are watching another player (the hero) play the videogame. Overall, a creative concept that I would recommend to others. You can 100% the game in like 2 hours, so if you are looking for a quick game to play that shifts your perspective on gaming, then this is a great experience

Batman: Arkham City

User ScorentBagel
Nov 2, 2025
Graphics – 9/10Arkham City builds on its predecessor with an even more striking visual presentation. The UI remains clean, readable, and stylistically consistent, making health, XP, and gadget management **** environment is a massive highlight—the open city feels alive, grimy, and deeply immersive, filled with small details that reward exploration and reinforce the world’s oppressive atmosphere.Character models are excellent across the board. Joker, Two-Face, and Bane look iconic and refined, capturing the perfect blend of comic-book exaggeration and gritty realism.Animation quality is top-tier in combat and traversal—smooth, fluid, and empowering, making every punch, glide, and takedown feel like an authentic Batman moment. The only weak point lies in dialogue animations, where character movements don’t always match the tone of their speech.Still, visually, Arkham City shines.Audio – 8/10The music supports the atmosphere well, even if few tracks stand out as truly memorable.Sound effects are crisp and satisfying—combat hits sound impactful, and gadget use feels appropriately mechanical and weighty.Voice acting remains a major strength of the series. Batman and Joker’s performances are excellent, adding emotional weight and personality to every scene.Gameplay – 8/10Controls can feel a bit clunky at times, which is understandable given the expanded set of gadgets and traversal options.Combat remains the game’s most creative and refined system, with smooth chaining, expressive combos, and satisfying takedowns that make every encounter **** game is simply fun to play, especially with the shift to an open city. The added sidequests and activities make the world feel busy, dangerous, and alive.Gadgets enhance both combat and puzzle-solving, offering a strong sense of progression as new tools unlock and expand Batman’s capabilities.Story – 9/10Arkham City delivers a compelling narrative supported by strong dialogue and excellent line delivery from the voice cast.Environmental storytelling, however, is where the game truly excels. Posters, props, hidden details, and environmental clues work together to paint a rich picture of Gotham’s darkest district, adding depth without overwhelming the player.Overall Arkham City takes everything great about Arkham Asylum and expands it into a richer, more complex world. With superb visuals, powerful voice acting, refined combat, and an atmospheric open city, it remains one of the best superhero games ever made. Minor control issues and weak dialogue animations hold it back slightly, but not enough to dull its impact.Final Score: 9/10

Batman: Arkham Asylum

Graphics – 10/10Arkham Asylum absolutely nails its visual presentation. The UI is clean, readable, and fits perfectly with the game’s gritty aesthetic, making health, XP, and gadgets easy to track without ever feeling **** environment is a standout—the asylum feels alive (and unsettling) thanks to an incredible amount of small details that make the world feel both realistic and immersive. Character models are another high point. Rocksteady perfected iconic designs, especially for characters like Joker and Killer Croc, balancing comic-book exaggeration with grounded realism. Animations are exceptional across the board. Combat flows beautifully, traversal feels smooth, and cutscenes seamlessly blend into gameplay. Every punch, counter, and glide reinforces the fantasy of being Batman. A flawless visual experience.Audio – 8/10 The soundtrack sets the tone effectively, even if few tracks truly stick with you after the credits. Sound effects hit hard—literally. Combat impacts are satisfying, and gadgets sound weighty and believable. Voice acting is a major strength. Batman and Joker’s performances are excellent, capturing the characters perfectly and elevating even simple dialogue. Gameplay – 8/10Controls can feel a bit clunky at times, though that’s somewhat expected when juggling Batman’s large arsenal of gadgets. There is plenty of creativity, especially in combat. The freeflow system is expressive, stylish, and rewarding, clearly built with care from the ground up.Most importantly, the game is fun. Every encounter, stealth section, and predator room reinforces that fantasy of stepping into the Dark Knight’s boots. Gadgets are both practical and entertaining, offering a sense of progression as new tools unlock and expanding your options in both combat and puzzle-solving.Story – 8/10The narrative is solid and consistently engaging. The dialogue is delivered well (thanks to strong voice acting), though the story never reaches truly mind-blowing heights. It’s good—just not **** environmental storytelling does much of the heavy lifting, with posters, props, and scattered details enriching the world and fleshing out the asylum’s dark history in subtle ways.Overall Arkham Asylum remains one of the most immersive superhero experiences ever crafted. Stunning visuals, stellar animation work, strong voice acting, and immensely satisfying combat make it a game that still feels powerful today. Some clunkiness and a not-quite-legendary story hold it back from absolute perfection—but only slightly. Final Score: 9/10

Plants vs. Zombies

Graphics – 9/10 Plants vs. Zombies delivers a charming and instantly recognizable visual style. The UI deserves special praise: nothing is a generic button. Instead, menus come alive with tombstones, rocks, watering cans, and vases—objects that make even navigating the interface feel thematic and fun. The in-game HUD, especially the plant bar at the top, is clean and never intrusive. The environments themselves are simple—a lawn, a house, and a few themed backdrops—but they get the job done with a pleasant, cartoony appeal. Where the visuals truly shine is in the character models. Every plant and zombie bursts with personality, from the Peashooter's determined stare to the delightfully goofy zombie designs. Combined with smooth, expressive animations—like the Sunflower’s joyful swaying—the game’s charm is almost impossible to resist. Audio – 10/10 The soundtrack is arguably the game’s strongest asset. The orchestrated music is so good it’s easy to imagine listening to it outside the game—and plenty of players do. Sound effects are equally satisfying, with plant attacks providing punchy audio feedback that makes mowing down a wave of zombies feel extra rewarding. Gameplay – 9/10 Controls are intuitive and responsive, leaving nothing to complain about. The core gameplay is a fresh take on tower defense—simple, accessible, but uniquely creative thanks to the huge cast of plant abilities. Above all, it’s fun. Building your defenses and watching them shred incoming zombie hordes never gets old. Story – 6.5/10 Narrative isn’t the focus here, and that’s clear. Dialogue is minimal but fits the game’s quirky, light-hearted tone. The story, delivered mostly through notes and short exchanges, never digs deeper than “zombies want brains”—but honestly, it works well enough for the style and pacing of the game. Extras – The campaign is short, but it ends right when it should, never overstaying its welcome. Minigames add refreshing variety, offering new ways to enjoy the mechanics you’ve already mastered. Final Verdict – 9/10 Plants vs. Zombies is a simple yet endlessly entertaining game elevated by its delightful art direction, memorable soundtrack, and expressive character designs. It’s charming, creative, and consistently fun—an easy recommendation for almost anyone.

Half-Life

Art & UI — 3/10 Half-Life’s UI is functional and intuitive, but not exactly pleasant to look at. It gets the job done, yet the visual presentation feels very dated and, at times, outright unattractive. The graphics themselves are usually clear, but the quality is inconsistent. Textures can be hit or miss—some don’t match the environment, others look out of place, or simply unappealing. Enemy designs are at least recognizable and readable, and while human character models “work,” they rarely look great. NPCs suffer the most: they're generic and heavily reused, which breaks immersion. On the brighter side, the alien designs are far more creative and distinct, adding some much-needed personality to the world. Audio — 4/10The music effectively sets the tone, but none of the tracks stand out as memorable. They support the atmosphere but don’t elevate it. Voice acting follows a similar pattern. Much of it comes from the scientists, and while it’s serviceable, the constant reuse of the same voice actor becomes noticeable fast. The G-Man’s voice is the clear highlight, delivering an eerie, unsettling tone that fits his character perfectly. Sound effects range from solid to questionable. Guns sound satisfying and punchy, but some of the alien noises and environmental effects feel oddly placed or mismatched. Core Gameplay — 8/10 This is where Half-Life shines. The gunplay is satisfying, and the movement speed keeps the action feeling energetic and responsive. The core mechanics are clear and engaging, offering enough flexibility for players to approach encounters in different ways. The game steadily introduces new weapons and enemies, giving the experience a sense of evolution without overwhelming complexity. Game Flow & Story — 7/10The optional tutorial is effective and teaches the basics without overstaying its welcome. While the game doesn’t explicitly guide you, it rarely feels cryptic, allowing exploration without **** story itself is a strong concept delivered in a subtle, environmental way. Instead of relying heavily on cutscenes or dialogue, Half-Life builds its narrative through world design, pacing, and scripted events. While character dialogue and cutscenes don’t offer much depth, the environmental storytelling is immersive and ahead of its time, making the world feel lived-in and reactive. Final Verdict — 6/10 Half-Life remains an enjoyable and influential game that still plays reasonably well today. Its gameplay holds up, but its visuals, audio, and storytelling show their age. Not a bad experience by any means—but by today’s standards, it’s far from spectacular.

Portal is the second-best puzzle game I have played, only beaten by Portal 2. The puzzles are creative and somewhat fun, but the highlight of the game is the world-building environment and your interactions with GLaDOS. The lines from GLaDOS are so good that I feel like the voice lines are the reward for advancing in the game. I had high expectations going into the game from what I've heard from others, and those expectations were surpassed. 9/10

New super Mario bros. DS, a return to the Mario 2d platforming series. The game starts out really strong with well design levels catchy music that fits the tone and a fresh start to a new Mario franchise. playing further into the game the levels become either more boring or have not very fun gimmicks. For example the snake block levels felt slow but also unfair. I still have fun with the rest of the game but it felt very "OK" after the first few worlds. the music became repetitive because it is always bubbly which was fine in the first world but the other worlds songs have the same vibe. This makes the worlds feel less unique. Also the bosses get a little repetitive besides the castle ones which I enjoy but I don't like battling bowser jr. 20 times. on to a high note the levels are for the most part designed very well. This game was made to be played single player which allowed it to try things that you couldn't do in the Wii version. one thing I have mixed feelings about is the new powerups. the mini mushroom is fun to use but doesn't show up much and is only used for secrets. The blue shell I absolutely hate it has killed me more than helped and lastly the mega mushroom is cool the first time but a little underwhelming every other time I use it. Also the fire flower feels as good as ever in this game and added some quality of life changes such as fireballs being able to go up stairs which I like. It might seem like I disliked this game but I actually enjoyed playing through it. It seems like a fun game to play on a road trip or to just pop it in and finish a world. which is why im going to give is a 6/10 (good)

This game is a work of art. I have 100% the game collecting all the 999 moons and all region coins as well as getting all achievements in Luigi"s balloon world and I had a blast doing all of it. the game feels rewarding and you can take it at your own pace and there is always stuff to do. I really promotes exploration and all the levels are so unique and interesting that you want to see it all. the capture mechanic is great Its so cool to be the enemies in the game I can be a GOOMBA :p, the game looks beautiful and feels even better the controls are great and mastering them is very fun going through the game I always tried to make hard jumps that aren't intended and it is very satisfying when you make them this is a master piece **** and everyone should play it. 10/10 (masterpiece)

I've been a Mario 64 speed runner and have played through the games more times than I can count. So I figured that I just had to play this version of the game. first looking at the visuals it looks a lot better than the 64 version. a lot of the characters are more recognizable and just sharper looking making them really feel like "Mario". The camera is still not the best but I will say it is a bit better than the 64 one. I like the new content including, the added characters, new levels and new stars within existing levels as well as slight improvements to levels such as tic tock clock. What really hurt this game though was that the controls and movement option were limited and hard to use. one small thing that makes the game feel more restrictive was the inability to wall jump off of a long jump it felt so good to do it in the original game and just feels more restricted in my movement options. another thing I don't like is that this game was made on a console that uses a dpad making it feel very clunky to control a 3D game. also since it uses the dpad that means they had to ad a run button which when holding down makes it really hard to do other actions such as a jump dive rollout. I think this game was greatly made the design is great and what they added had so much time and effort put into and really improved the game. So its really sad form me to say that it was really hard to enjoy the game on the system it was made for. 7/10 (great)

Mario kart 64 a game I have really enjoyed playing as a kid. Replaying it was enjoyable at times but also noticed many problems with the game. Mario kart 64 is of coarse fun to play with friends and family but playing it alone is pretty boring and frustrating. first a look at the graphics in my opinion the title and UI is very bland and just doesn't look very appealing and in game player sprites aren't even in 3D as well as the items. the way the maps are seen makes it very hard to see what is ahead of you. lots of the stages look very outdated graphically. now going into the controls I'm very mixed on it. it feels very ok. stuff like drifting and using items aren't very satisfying or rewarding to use. ex. red shells often hit walls, mushroom feel underwhelming and drifting feels clunky and hard to use. moving on from that character selection is ok as well as the stages nothing really is amazing but nothing that's really bad. overall, this game is very ok to me it doesn't really feel like it aged to well but will always be a blast to pop in to play with some friends. I just don't see a big reason to play it now compared to any of the newer titles. 5/10 (average)

Mario sunshine a fresh entry in the 3D Mario series. Starting off wit the visuals it looks pretty good and holds up but is nothing amazing. the controls feel very good with the help of flood making up for minor problems in movement allowing you to adjust your horizontal and vertical movement. The biggest problem with the game is the level design many of the levels are unrememberable, tedious boring and unfair. this game would have surely been a 9/ 10 if the levels were more enjoyable to play. I collected every shine and some were just a chore to play though. Overall, this game was very enjoyable to play and holds up to today I just don't think it can compare to many of the other big 3D Mario games. 7/10 (great)

Super Paper Mario. this game is very good overall. there is not many absolutely amazing parts besides the very end was absolutely amazing a warped up the story very well. otherwise the game never got boring to me but also didn't blow me away with how good it was. i like the rpg and platforming mix it feels very nice controlls well and is just super intresting to see how the world is in a 2D and 3D space. I think this is another reason I did not get bored and it didnt feel repetitive because of the change from being a 3D game to a 2D game but also playing simaler to an RPG. It had everything so it never felt old to keep playing. The story is really good but I feel a majority of the story was shoved into the last hour of gameplay which did make it end on a very high note. overall the game is good. it doesn't absolutely wow me but none of the parts are bad its a very consistently good game the whole way through. If you want a game that you know you would enjoy this is a very safe option to go to.
